Can you find items for less somewhere online? There is a chance that you can as with most things, even target pulls the buy it online for pick up for less than walking into the store. Can you make more by selling your items online yourself? Yes you can! There is some trade off to being able or willing to take a bit of a hit on things if you know its out of our hair right away vs things sitting at our home for possibly months waiting for it to sell on online resale sites. For my personal experience, this shop took care of us when repairing my PS2. They have always been awesome to my kiddo when we've brought him in to shop. He got more for some skylander figures, than he would have at other similar stores. Honestly my kid made money on the skylanders cause we had gotten them on super clearance when being phased out of most stores and we had held on to them and lucked out that my younger kiddo liked the game too!

It's all here in one crowded, slightly chaotic package. They've got a ton of bulk Pokémon and Magic cards in large, loosely organized drawers you can dig through for hours. You probably won't find anything rare, but it's a good time if you're the type to go treasure hunting for something. There's a decent selection of tabletop minis, paints, tiles, TTRPG books, and board games, nothing mind-blowing, but more than enough to get a new campaign rolling or add to your collection. The manga and comic section is sizable too, though I can't speak to the quality since that's not my scene. Events happen regularly, which is great in theory but a bit awkward in practice if you're not partaking. If you need access to the back wall where the tables are, you'll likely be squeezing past players mid-match. If it's accessible at all. The entrance can also get pretty bottlenecked depending on how many people are milling around. The store's clean enough for a hobby shop, but if you're a germaphobe, maybe bring hand sanitizer. The staff are helpful when asked and otherwise leave you to browse. Every now and then one might get chatty, but not in a bad way. The whole place is welcoming with that typical nerdy vibe you expect from a place like this. It's a very inclusive store, if that's your thing. The prices are as you would expect. If not on the higher side. We like Generation X. They've got the biggest selection of the stuff we're usually hunting for. Still, I don't know why, but we're always looking for an alternative. Would have to say it was in my top 10 places for comics. Most stores are very small, limited selection. This was not the case here. Value: cover price items for the books for the most part. The condition of the comics was 50/50. A few books I wanted had some heavy edging to them. The spines were not in the best shape but that was just the ones I picked up and looked at. I made an exception for the ones I bought because I try to never go into a store and not buy at least one thing. Always trying to keep the indie comic places around with one book at a time. This section explains why the store got 4 and not 5 from me. Is it worth chancing out? Absolutely! Oh... do not use the address in Yelp. It's wrong. Use Google or Waze.

I used to buy at Barnes & Noble and Amazon, but this place has a much better price and promotions. Although not my thing, this store has a section for Warhammers, D&D, and living card games. It also hosts tournaments and game demos, of which schedule can be found on the store website or social. The only minus point is there is no shipping if you're from out of town. But that what keeps this place a hidden gem of DFW.
