I picked this restaurant because they had a Garden Menu special that provided some tasty options…read more My table was outside with a view of pedestrians walking to and fro. I ordered The Highlander (Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Tio Pepe Sherry, Roots Diktarmo, Cherry & Vanilla) cocktail to enjoy while I waited for my meal. This was a very smooth drink. They were offering a complimentary Beef-Fat Washed Old Fashioned (Woodford Reserve Bourbon Old Fashioned with the bourbon infused with nuts and umami-packed beef fat) to Dads. Unfortunately the nut infusion precluded me from trying it. I had a complimentary Old Fashioned instead. It was just as good as The Highlander. My meal consisted of Beef Carpaccio and Steak Salad. The carpaccio was razor thin. Both dishes were delicious. I closed out the meal with the Chocolate Sorbet. This was one of the best meals I had in London on this trip. If you are on a schedule, make sure to let your server know in advance. Otherwise, their leisurely serving pace might stress you out.

The atmosphere was very pleasant, making it a great place to enjoy a nice meal. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and we were seated quickly even without a reservation. Overall, a very good experience. Highly recommend the croquettes as a starter--they were delicious.

Everything was grilled right in front of me but the sandwich ended up being smaller than I expected, though the generous portion of chips made up for it. I would have been disappointed with the £10 sandwich though. Chips were excellent though I was annoyed that they didn't have any containers for sauce and instead squirted it right in the box, which made some of the chips soggy by the time I got back to my flat. The steak was a bit gamey honestly and didn't taste super high quality. I did quite like the bread the sandwich was on however. It was fine but I won't be adding it to my regular lunch list.

The steak is so juicy and tender, and they give you huge chunks at a reasonable price. Also, take advantage of their chimichurri sauce! I put a ridiculous amount of chimichurri on mine, and it tasted like heaven. This food stand probably has one of the longer waits, but I guarantee you that it's worth it! My mouth is watering as I'm typing this. Will definitely seek this place out again the next time I'm in London!

Amazing, delicious and plentiful meats of all kinds. Friendly service and reasonable prices.read more

I expected great things, and was not disappointed…read more This unassuming spot in Broadway Market gets by on its well deserved reputation alone. From the outside, and when you squint through the window, you won't see anything flash or pretentious (looking at you Gaucho), but just wooden furniture and staff in jeans and over-worn, over-washed baggy restaurant tshirts. It's when you get inside that the smell hits you. My co-eater noted, with some delight, that it even smelt like South America - the meat, the wine, the spices. Mouths were watering. Down to business - friendly, if not a little indifferent, service and rustic, simple décor. In the middle of the room is the huge grill on which the slabs of meat were being cooked. It was fun watching these guys move the meat around, clearly knowledgeable and skilled. The wine we were recommended, a Malbec of course, was damn good. When my food arrived, there was a wry smile on my face. Perhaps it was a boastful smile. The sizzling paradilla that was squeezed onto our table was a meat delight. 2 sausages, 1 black pudding, a slab of provolone and the stars of the show, a huuuuge sirloin and a juicy fillet. Shared between two, this was more than enough. We went for a side of salad to compliment. The meat was fantastic. Really, very good. And the sign of a good steak - the fat from the sirloin was melt-in-your-mouth juicy and tasty. Such a treat. As we were one of the last customers to finish, we witnessed the staff setting up for an end of shift dinner. Steaks, bread, salads and bottles of wine were assembled on the table and they promptly sat down to eat together to see the night out. Nice touch that.

This used to be my favourite Argentine restaurant in London but after heaps of anticipation…read moreplanning to go there for dinner, I was hugely disappointed with the new menu and management's attempt to make it all more "fancy". It can be argued that it's a matter of taste (and as I haven't lived in Argentina for over 20 years now, I'm sure things have changed and evolved there too) but the food no longer resembles traditional Argentine cuisine IMHO. Candied walnuts on what looks like a few "dollops" of provoleta? Please, gimme a break...

The first chance I had to try this place was for breakfast on a miserable winter's day. The poached eggs and blood sausage when down well with Quilmes. Superb and made the Sunday suck less. Tonight I've enjoyed the fillet steak, fries & glass of red wine. Simply served in an authentic Argentine home style. The guilty dessert surprised me... it made me feel like a better man for eating it. That's how good it was. For 40GBP it's a little steep, though the good service, ambiance and location of the place make up for it. I wouldn't like to compare it to a place like Hawksmoor, though if you're looking to relax & enjoy a good steak with a little culture thrown in, you really must try this place.
