The maim course meat, concisting of sirloin, rump and entrecot.

Went out this evening together with my family to celebrate our grand parents turning 80 years old this year. To be honest, I think this is one of the best dinner experiences I have had ever in my life! The atmosphere was relaxing, at the same time as the place was quite busy. The volume level was perfect, and the staff was super friendly and gave excellent service. As we were 12 people for dinner, we chose their option of sharing starter, main courses and dessert which was made out of a different assortment of their most popular dishes. Not only was a big variety of different meat and side dishes that made our taste buds go wild, but the amount of food was enough to make each and everyone full to the limit and beyond. Personally, this was a huge plus for me, as I hate going out to eat and getting only small portions, paying a lot of money for it, and then leave the restaurant hungry. These guys give you a real bang for the buck in terms of food quantity with this sharing concept of their menu. As to mention some of the dishes, the chorizo, the blood sausage, the meat, the tuna and the mashed potatoes were all out of heaven. As for dessert, go for the dulce de leche cheesecake, even thoigh you think that their chokolate cake is a safe choice. In this case it wasn't, and I am glad I took our servants word for it. Only small negative aspect of this experience wss the price. However, if you are hungry for quality food that will give your taste buds a trip to heaven, it is worth every penny. Thank you so much, Gaucho.

They have different restaurants with the decor all different within London, each restaurant has a slightly different menu and cooks the steak a bit different.. The restaurant is great for a romantic meal the atmosphere is calm. You may take 2hrs + on a meal and enjoy the live band music that might be playing in the restaurant.. The prices aren't cheap but for a one off fancy meal then this is a lovely place. We went there for New Years Eve Dinner Ordered Starters Main steak Wine

This place is pure Hollywood! From the glamorous entrance, complete with chandelier & white lilies, you proceed down into a moody nightclub atmosphere: so camp you almost expect to see Marlene or Liza emerge from the shadows. Instead quietly discrete waiters, who teach you to choose your beef from a mixed platter of the best flown in daily from Argentina. This was a pub in the 18th century when Charlotte Street was known as Charlottensrasse, because there were so many German residents in the area - inc Karl Marx. It is in the upper price range, but for sheer quality its worth that bit extra for a dining experience you'll never forget.

They were steaks as steaks should be and at about £20 for a 225g cut, I feel they represent very good value!

I ordered The Highlander (Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Tio Pepe Sherry, Roots Diktarmo, Cherry & Vanilla) cocktail to enjoy while I waited for my meal. This was a very smooth drink. They were offering a complimentary Beef-Fat Washed Old Fashioned (Woodford Reserve Bourbon Old Fashioned with the bourbon infused with nuts and umami-packed beef fat) to Dads. Unfortunately the nut infusion precluded me from trying it. I had a complimentary Old Fashioned instead. It was just as good as The Highlander. My meal consisted of Beef Carpaccio and Steak Salad. The carpaccio was razor thin. Both dishes were delicious. I closed out the meal with the Chocolate Sorbet. This was one of the best meals I had in London on this trip. If you are on a schedule, make sure to let your server know in advance. Otherwise, their leisurely serving pace might stress you out.

Everything was grilled right in front of me but the sandwich ended up being smaller than I expected, though the generous portion of chips made up for it. I would have been disappointed with the £10 sandwich though. Chips were excellent though I was annoyed that they didn't have any containers for sauce and instead squirted it right in the box, which made some of the chips soggy by the time I got back to my flat. The steak was a bit gamey honestly and didn't taste super high quality. I did quite like the bread the sandwich was on however. It was fine but I won't be adding it to my regular lunch list.

The steak is so juicy and tender, and they give you huge chunks at a reasonable price. Also, take advantage of their chimichurri sauce! I put a ridiculous amount of chimichurri on mine, and it tasted like heaven. This food stand probably has one of the longer waits, but I guarantee you that it's worth it! My mouth is watering as I'm typing this. Will definitely seek this place out again the next time I'm in London!

From the outside, and when you squint through the window, you won't see anything flash or pretentious (looking at you Gaucho), but just wooden furniture and staff in jeans and over-worn, over-washed baggy restaurant tshirts. It's when you get inside that the smell hits you. My co-eater noted, with some delight, that it even smelt like South America - the meat, the wine, the spices. Mouths were watering. Down to business - friendly, if not a little indifferent, service and rustic, simple décor. In the middle of the room is the huge grill on which the slabs of meat were being cooked. It was fun watching these guys move the meat around, clearly knowledgeable and skilled. The wine we were recommended, a Malbec of course, was damn good. When my food arrived, there was a wry smile on my face. Perhaps it was a boastful smile. The sizzling paradilla that was squeezed onto our table was a meat delight. 2 sausages, 1 black pudding, a slab of provolone and the stars of the show, a huuuuge sirloin and a juicy fillet. Shared between two, this was more than enough. We went for a side of salad to compliment. The meat was fantastic. Really, very good. And the sign of a good steak - the fat from the sirloin was melt-in-your-mouth juicy and tasty. Such a treat. As we were one of the last customers to finish, we witnessed the staff setting up for an end of shift dinner. Steaks, bread, salads and bottles of wine were assembled on the table and they promptly sat down to eat together to see the night out. Nice touch that.

It can be argued that it's a matter of taste (and as I haven't lived in Argentina for over 20 years now, I'm sure things have changed and evolved there too) but the food no longer resembles traditional Argentine cuisine IMHO. The first chance I had to try this place was for breakfast on a miserable winter's day. The poached eggs and blood sausage when down well with Quilmes. Superb and made the Sunday suck less. Tonight I've enjoyed the fillet steak, fries & glass of red wine. Simply served in an authentic Argentine home style. The guilty dessert surprised me... it made me feel like a better man for eating it. That's how good it was. For 40GBP it's a little steep, though the good service, ambiance and location of the place make up for it. I wouldn't like to compare it to a place like Hawksmoor, though if you're looking to relax & enjoy a good steak with a little culture thrown in, you really must try this place.
