I have held back from leaving a review for many years, but as I continue to work and spend…read morethousands on rectifying the work done, I feel responsible to do this. Eight years after walking into this office, I can look back and be certain that walking in was one if not the worst decision of my life. Teeth are precious and not only tools for chewing--they're part of an interconnected system involving digestion, posture, emotions, energy, and overall vitality. This practice doesn't focus on any of that but surely has a strong focus to sell. I worked with 3 different dentist's here; I was young and said yes to everything: frequent cleanings and all the upsell that comes with that, many fillings, crowns, 3 root canals, and even more! I thought I was being responsible. One of the main things to highlight is, absolutely ALL of the crowns were left with a margin. I learned over the years by asking questions that same day crowns are typically found in chain practices where the doctor is not the one molding and the staff is not always well equipped. This was absolutely true. I can think of a time where I removed the molding for the assistant myself(of course I did it wrong). I visited another dentist during that time who did a 3D scan. That doctor warned me of the margin on a particular tooth. I went back to this practice and Dr. Lising minded. She insisted that the crown was fine. That was on a root canal so I didn't feel discomfort, yet the crown fell off on a random day. Sadly it was too late-there was significant decay underneath and the tooth had to be shaved down significantly. Dr. Lising was not pleasant to work with during this time. As I read on many other recent reviews, I also experienced the arrogance. She laughed at my hesitation to "fix" the issue. I agreed to placing a dental post to then place a new crown. Sadly, the post caused the tooth to break and led to an infection that showed while pregnant. I had to have an extraction while pregnant and an implant months later. This costed me several thousands. On a different occasion, I complained of sensitivity on a particular tooth and was told that I needed a root canal. With what I know now, I can say that it was called too early. All I did was say that it was sensitive, that's it. Root canals are bad news and I just extracted a second one. The recovery was brutal. I have one to more to go. Another experience was an onlay that fell off 4 times before it never moved again- I don't know how that was accomplished. If I could go back, I would want my young self to read this review and be intrigued to read on functional/biological dentistry. You will find a doctor who will cost you a bit more per visit but a whole lot less over time, a Dr. that will care to save your teeth. I do not have any pleasure in leaving this review, in fact it is hard but I feel a strong need to. I have spent thousands of dollars over the last 4 years to redo all the work that I have paid for in the past! It is painful in every way and I don't wish it on anyone. If you are looking for a dentist, please be kind to yourself and look for a Dr that will care for you from a functional perspective and educate you while saving your teeth.

The office and rooms are neat and they have tvs in each room for viewing while waiting. They explained each step to me and after my xrays they explained what the next steps were before the doctor came in. There was a long wait. I only saw 1 dentist there but I was told they were short on the staff the day I went. The dentist explained some concerns and options for me and they brought me a quote to think things over. The dentist did my cleaning with an electric tool. It was very painful for me. Next time I will ask if he can use the manual one. But the dentist was kind and I can tell he was working hard to get to all of the clients waiting.

There are a number things wrong at this dentist place. In no particular order…read more1. The front office is extremely bad. They do not return calls or emails, they do not send documentation after several requests. 2. Care particularly from the dentist is very rushed and he misses things 3. They definitely over file claims - look through your bill and you will routinely see high risk asssessments for which they bill extra even when other dentists don't (I compared and switched) 4. They take more Xrays (now they force twice a year on routine xrays) and you guessed it - they bill you extra. The 1-star I gave is for the hygenist who catches more issues than the dentist does!

Despite my rigorous dental regimen, I still encounter dental issues, but having Dr. Chen by my side has made all the difference. Expertise and Care Dr. Chen is incredibly thorough and knowledgeable. She stays current on the latest treatments and technologies, which gives me confidence in the care I receive. One of the things I appreciate most is her willingness to take the time to answer all my questions--something I tend to have a lot of! She addresses my concerns with patience and makes me feel at ease, which is invaluable in a dental setting. Recent Experience I "visit" Dr. Chen at least 3-4x a year. My most recent procedure involved replacing my four front crowns (20 years old) which I had been wanting to do for years. The trauma from the pain associated with the anesthesia from the original dentist had left me hesitant. However, I finally decided to go through with it in May 2025. On the day of the procedure, I was understandably nervous and anxious. But with sweet Luca, their therapy dog, on my lap, I felt a sense of comfort. Carol, Dr. Chen's assistant, held my hand throughout the process, and to my surprise, it was over before I knew it! I felt zero pain--not even a prick. A few visits later, after a trip to the lab, I received my new crowns, and they are absolutely beautiful. I can't believe I waited so long to make this change, and I've received countless compliments on them. Dr. Chen and Carol even showed up on a Friday when they were not in the office to ensure I get my permanent crowns before I left for my trip. Exceptional Staff The entire staff at Dr. Chen's office, including Monica, Diane, Maliah (my dental hygienist), and Monee, are wonderful additions to her team. They are not only professional but also incredibly pleasant, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Every time I walk in, I do so with full confidence that I will be well taken care of. Conclusion In summary, I highly recommend Dr. Chen and her team for anyone seeking dental care. Their expertise, compassion, and commitment to patient comfort are truly exceptional. Thank you, Dr. Chen, for making my dental experiences positive and for giving me a smile I can be proud of! See you soon!!! Ginette and Fynn (too bad you don't do doggy dental)

Be careful if you choose this dental office. My experience has been incredibly frustrating…read more Before my appointment, I told the office that both my daughter and I had recently had X-rays taken at our previous dentist. Despite that, they insisted on taking new X-rays. I later found out they were not covered by my insurance because they had been done too recently. To make matters worse, I was led to believe I was making a copay payment. It wasn't until I asked for a receipt that I discovered I had actually been charged for the X-rays. Had I known that was what I was paying for, I would have questioned it immediately. The office acknowledged that this was their mistake and assured me the charge would be refunded. Nearly two months later, I still have not received my refund. I've called about once a week to follow up, and every conversation has been disappointing. Diane either seems confused about why I'm calling or has the details of my case wrong. Most recently, she told me that my insurance company would be sending me a check instead of the office issuing a refund--which makes no sense since the charge resulted from the office's own error, not my insurance company's. It's incredibly frustrating to have an office admit they made a mistake but then delay resolving it for months while repeatedly acting as though they don't understand the situation. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this office.
