We had just purchased a house and were doing some renovations prior to move in. As we pulled up old carpet we stumbled across original oak flooring over nearly the entire house. From decades of having carpet over the floor, there were several thousand staples, nail holes, and tons of residue from the carpet padding (basically melted plastic all over the floor). Given the quality of the wood, we didn't want to just cover the hardwood back up with carpet or completely replacing the floor; we wanted to bring it back to life. Our timeline was pretty unrealistic, needing to have the job done in 3 weeks from when we reached out. Glenn was responsive from the start and enthusiastic and knowledgeable, teaching us about the floor and showing us all of the possibilities with what he could do and how to customize the end product. He was able to fit us into his busy schedule, promising to have the job done before we moved in. Of the dozen places we called to bid the job, no other was able to meet our timeline and the cost to have it done on their schedule by almost double the amount. Due to some delays in the job before ours (not Glenn's fault), he started almost a week late. Rather than just pushing our job out and blowing past our move in (like every contractor would), he worked day and night for the next 5 days to meet our needs--finishing at 2AM the day we moved in. The dedication he has to his customers is unheard of today. While Glenn was busy refinishing the hardwood flooring, we were installing LVP ourselves in a separate part of the house. It was our first time doing it and when Glenn saw what we were doing, he took over an hour to show us how to do it and to help us fix a problem we didn't notice with the subfloor. This was not part of our contract and he was just helping us because he is a stand-up guy and generally awesome person. Without his help, there would have been serious issues with the LVP install and it would have taken us twice as long. Despite the time crunch, Glenn did not skimp on quality. He took the time to cover the roughly 10,000 nails in the floor and put down 4 layers of finish. Good luck finding another contractor that will do that. The end product was beautiful and exactly what we wanted--an unfinished appearance with a finish that can stand up to pets. Just look at the before and after photos to see what he is capable of. We agreed on the work to be done. He provided a bid within 24 hours. When we originally texted, Enrique was clear that he could not come right away. We were willing to wait. Once Enrique was available to start, he reached out by text immediately. It had been only a couple of weeks since he bid for the job. Enrique showed up early on the agreed-upon first day but texted to indicate his presence on the property before ringing the bell.
