One may not think that there is not a lot of difference between dry cleaner companies, but the truth of the matter is that this Comet cleaners location is downright amazing! The people that work here are all extremely friendly and ridiculously helpful when it comes to making sure that their clients get everything that they need. I find myself looking forward to seeing the people that have worked in this location for a long time, and they are always ready to answer questions and provide more information. Good prices but the employees must be selective on who they are friendly with because I am not one. Its always the same two women when I go in. The smaller one does greet me in a friendly manner but tends to chide me and speak over me when I am talking. Neither of them says "thank you" or "goodbye" when I leave. What a horrible experience! Dropped off my rare vintage chanel bag with them for a clean, they said they can do it. I was so excited the bag will get cleaned! They called me later and said the they damaged the bag. Sent the photos - I wanted them to either buy me a new bag or pay for this one. This is where the most horrible customer experience started - they offered $200 usd STORE CREDIT without even checking how much this bag costs, and there are plenty of listings online - LOL!!! Like I will ever take anything to this place again. Nobody there cares about you, it's all transactional and when they mess up they don't do anything for you. Usually use Culpeppers - great place but they don't do bags ugh! The funniest thing is that their General Manager saw the bag and was aware of the situation. Still no interest in fixing or even getting more info on the price of their mistake or offering any solutions. They also make you sign a paperwork when you drop an item off without even explaining that you are signing a release form - another bad sign, be careful and stay away from this place if you have anything valuable. Positives- The staff was very polite, 24 hour turn around, and they offered a credit right away after my slacks had some weird creases/indentations near the seams the first and second time. Improvements- The first time I went there they left weird creases/indentations next to the seams. They were kind enough to offer a free redo however, the second time not only did my slacks have the same weird creases/indentations next to the seams, they now also had a double crease. They again offered another redo however I had to reject the redo as this was the second time I came to them and was concerned for how a potential 3rd attempt might look. read more

My expectations of a dry cleaner are pretty simple. Clean my clothes at a good price and don't lose or ruin my clothes.... Team Betsy and Rosalie have changed the game and completely exceeded my expectations of what a dry cleaner should be! When I enter the building I am always warmly greeted by name and they know exactly what specifics I ask for. If I am picking up, the exit process has already been started which is great for me because I am generally running on the fly.... I truly get a kick out of how excited my pups get to see Betsy... Deserves a no-star review. Dropped off two shirts with a coupon for laundry, $2.57 a shirt, unlimited number on hanger. Both shirts have tags on them that say wash in cold water. But when I went to pick them up, they said they had been sent in to be dry cleaned and I owed $14.00+. Either bait and switch or an incompetent person working there that took the order and coupon. Probably both, it did take her three times to get my name right on the ticket. The girl who was there when I went to pick up said she couldn't do anything except give me a discount, which only doubled the price of the shirts. I will never use Comet again, and suggest others consider doing the same...it will save you money. read more

After moving to the San Antonio area, my hubby and I were looking for a dry cleaners that would work quickly in getting my hubby's uniform cleaned and ready for inspection. After going on Yelp, we found Comet Cleaners and found that they're close to where we are and have good reviews. We opted to go here for my hubby's dry cleaning and we found that we were helped by the store manager. She was very nice and professional. When she found out that my hubby needed to have his uniform dry cleaned quickly, she worked to have his uniform taken in and be worked on so that we could have it the very next day. The next day we received an email saying that his uniform was ready and it could be picked up. When we did pick up the uniform the system was down, but the ladies there were super nice and luckily before I left their systems were up again and I was able to get my hubby's uniform. All together the service was about $10 and for the service that they did with my hubby's uniform and awesome customer service, we'll be back again! The location is easy to find and parking is decent. The interior is cozy, welcoming and clean. You'll find that you receive your items back quickly and the dry cleaning is done really well. I would highly recommend coming here and giving them a try. read more

Needed a good dry cleaner, not just a glorified laundry-mat, so took it to Comet and was told they don't dry clean or even spot clean bed linens. Said they would only be able to wash it (I can do that at home). That seemed odd so I drove to a second Comet location nearby, but was told the same thing. On the way home I stopped at Culpeppers and they didn't blink. Told me their staff was used to these challenges and would do whatever it takes to get most of it out - which is exactly what they did. I moved to this part of town less than a year ago, and was still going to my old dry cleaning location. I decided that I needed to find a new location, and was excited about the great reviews for the Comet Cleaners on Bitters and Blanco. I was registered the first time, and I dropped off about ten pieces of clothing. The two ladies working were nice and made conversation. I later picked up and the lady working wasn't particularly nice. Upon getting home, I noticed that my white shirt collars looked very dirty. I brought them back, and asked if they could do better. The woman working wasn't particularly helpful at all, but she did take the shirts. I just came again, and the shirt collars look even worse. I asked what was going on and the woman working said that they'll never be able to clean the collars more than that. I was in disbelief. I said I wish they had told me, because I paid up front and the shirts aren't clean. Not that I was going to fight for $10, but all I got was a sarcastic "okayyyy." Wish I could post the pictures of the shirt collars. Anyway, I am very disappointed, and will not be coming back. read more
