I have patronized a number of cleaners in the past, but my most recent visit with my usual business, was crestfallen with the delay in dry cleaning items of clothing for a vacation trip. I visited another establishment that I had patronized in the past, with same issue of delay in cleaning. In desperation, I happened on Five Star Cleaners on Northwest Military Drive. To my delight, they could dry clean a linen jacket, launder shirts and pants, all within 24 hours. When I picked up the items, I was delighted with the work: perfectly cleaned and pressed linen jacket, other items with light starch, exactly as I had requested. I have since read a couple of reviews telling of rude and indifferent staff. Friends, this just was not my experience. The staff couldn't have been more affable and professional. For my money, Five Star on Northwest Military is the place to go!! Definitely recommend!! read more

I read the mixed reviews on Yelp and went anyway/. I was impressed. I live in Florida and bring all mt dry cleaning and laundry with me when I travel home to visit relatives. Why, prices at the beach are $7-$8 for a dress shirt there and I refuse to pay that much. It is much cheaper here. Not cheap at $3.91 for a laundered dress shirt without a coupn but in the relm of reasonable. Nice gentelman took care of me and when I picked up my shirts pointed out an ink stain on a shirt that he said he could get out for a small up charge. I told him to go for it and picking it up tomorrow. Overall I was impressed by attention to detail, quick service and friendly service. He even asked if I needed help taking my laundry to the car. I guess my grey hair came in handy for once. Anyway, I will bring my laudry back on my next trip but will look for a coupon. read more

I recently had an event that caused me to bring lots of articles of clothing, I was very stressed, and tired from dealing with so much. I visited this location and was greeted by very helpful, professional employees. Also, my follow up, to pick up my clothes was even better. Every employee I was in contact with was all so pleasant. Each time that i went in having a bad day, these employees, made me smile . I left each time smiling and confident that my day would change. I had used this business for years, but never again. I entered this business requesting a price check on the items I was leaving. I was tired of leaving my clothes with no price estimate and then walking away with a big bill. It was very apparent that the manager or the girl in charge was only interested in up charging my items. I am so frustrated with this business and feeling so disrespected and unappreciated as a costumer that I will never return to this location. After this I proceed to find out about other cleaner services in the area. It amazing how there seems not to be a standard of cost per items for clothing service. Beware and check before leaving your money and items if you are interested in fair pricing policies. I have not ever heard of any other business that does not provide menu pricing for goods and services. read more

Sharon did an amazing job. After I tried another cleaners and was told they couldn't help me, I took in a formal dress that had a stain on there for probably close to 3 years( never noticed till we needed the dress). She worked her magic and sure enough made the dress look brand new and with same day service. I do not live in the area but happened to be in the area I now take my all my dry cleaning clothes to this location. Thank you again! read more

I read the reviews on here and from what I read, this Five Star was the best that was close-ish, not the closest though. I was really taken aback at how rude the person was who took my clothes in. I don't need or want that kind of service again, so I won't be going back. Because let's face it, you're going to pay the same at any Five Star. This place is amazing. I dropped off my white bridal shower dress off to be cleaned after coffee had been spilled on it. And when I say spilled, it COVERED the entire skirt of the dress from the waist down, turning it all brown. I figured it was ruined, but I thought I would see if the professionals could do anything with it before I threw it away. This place blew me away. The dress is now spotless and looked just as it did when I first bought it. I couldn't be happier. The staff was very attentive and friendly.
