Spunky G.

I was in a bind, my washer stopped working (which I had to learn the hard way) and we were leaving for vacation in a few days. Not going to lie they caught my eye due to my love for Pink and Flamingos but I was able to get my laundry out and back within 24 hours, which was super helpful. The way they folded everything really felt like they handled my clothes with care, which meant so much to us! Thank you for helping us when needed!

Cute Flamingo bags!

Scrub a dub! This place is super clean, and a great place…read moreto do some laundry! I came in with a huge load of laundry. Fortunately, they have a large number of washers and dryers in various shapes and sizes to handle even the largest loads. The price for the washers is based upon the capacity. They go from normal sized, to mega-industrial sized! The dryers are a similar story. The largest one seems like it could handle a humongous quilt, or an entire tent. It's big! The whole place runs on quarters. The change slots get jammed up fairly often, especially if you're trying to be in a rush. But if it gets jammed, they have a staff on duty who comes around with a screwdriver and jimmies the quarters free. They offer free wifi, and books and magazines to read. They have a full waiting area with chairs, and televisions to watch. Olmos Park Wash & Fold also offers drop off services, where they'll wash and fold your clothes for you, for a fee. In the corner are an ATM machine, a soda machine, a video game, and a vending machine that sells laundry supplies. They offer lots of places to fold your clothes, along with plentiful carts to push your laundry around in. The staff is helpful and alert, coming running to the machines when a quarter gets stuck and you start banging on it with your fist. They politely remind you not to overfill the washers, letting you know where the capacity is. Parking is a bit of a challenge, their ramp doesn't extend all the way down and leaves a small step that makes it difficult to navigate with a laundry cart. I wish they'd get that fixed.

I wanted to make sure the clothes really dried. They did. My first impression is that it is a very clean and airy laundromat. A couple of women were busy taking care of some customer's laundry. In addition to doing it yourself, you can pay to have the attendants take care of washing, drying and folding your laundry for your pickup. There are plenty of washing machines and dryers for small and large loads. Ample seating while you wait. Also many rolling carts with overhead hanging bar are available to pile your dried clothes into and roll over to a table to fold. It's a great place to have available as an option. Go there.

Update: Erica reached out to me and was very sweet and helpful. She made it right. Thank you!…read more My boyfriend and I are longtime customers and usually have nothing but great things to say. This time I took in a cream colored dress with a matching jacket. They weren't able to get out all the stains but the ones left are very faint and inside the jacket. I was charged for 2 dresses not a jacket and a dress. I guess I should of asked the price before. I was charged $23.00 + change. I also should of checked the garment more carefully while I was there because when I took off the plastic at home, I noticed some short black hairs on the back of the dress. I know I didn't turn it in with hairs. I was able to pick them off but still. Besides, my hair is reddish blonde and Bf's is silver. I will give them another chance because Bf likes how they clean his shirts/suits. As for my clothes I don't know. The customer service is usually pretty good I'm just disappointed in this experience.

As a new customer, I was a given a great little coupon book with $10, $5, and $2 off coupons, which have come in handy, total value $50 of savings! Diana is a great front desk employee, she's so friendly and helpful, and will call the manager with any questions you have! These people actually look at the little tags you may put on your clothes with specific instructions, unlike another major cleaners in town, who ignored my instructions for my clothes 3 different times, which is when I came across this place here on Yelp! Thank you Oak Park Cleaners!

I'd give this business and its owners 10 stars if I could. In late June 2016 I went in to have an…read moreofficial photograph taken a week before the cutoff date for an Army promotion board and just three days before I had to leave for a family vacation to the east coast. I had checked my uniform the week prior and it was good, but when I arrived at the photo lab my coat and pants were so wrinkled I didn't bother taking the photo. With time of the essence I needed a cleaner who would be competent and quick. Every cleaner near Fort Sam Houston had poor reviews, and I get my hair cut a few door down from Arcadia Grove Cleaners, so I said a prayer and took the uniform in. The woman who greeted me appeared to be the owner's daughter. She was polite initially, but after talking with her a bit she warmed up more and was genuinely nice. The gentleman I presume is the owner and her dad came off a touch gruff initially but was also very nice once we talked for a moment. (I later thought about this, and it occurred to me that in this area of San Antonio a business sees all kinds of customers: many are relatively wealthy and think they are special; some are poor and trying to rip businesses off to "get by;" and some people are just plain rude or unreasonably demanding. One of the most important lessons I've learned as a white-collar professional is the importance and value of protecting my time, which includes refusing unreasonable demands or those that completely break down systems I have in place to operate efficiently. I'm not saying those who have negative reviews of this business are unreasonable; I'm saying I can understand if business owners are initially a bit careful in their interactions with new customers to avoid being taken advantage of.) Bottom line: they turned the uniform around in a day for me so I could get my official photo taken before the family vacation, and it was flawless. I don't use dry cleaners very often, but when I need dry cleaning services I won't go anywhere else. Highly recommended! Post script: I was recently selected for promotion and promoted to lieutenant colonel. Because of the absurd importance the Army places on official photographs a career's worth of hard work could have been wasted because of a wrinkled uniform. Arcadia Grove Cleaners literally saved my career. I can't thank them enough for their kindness and professionalism!

First time trying Jack Brown. I usually use Comet Cleaners…read more Jack brown is not only more expensive but they are also slower and don't do good of a job. Instead of the one day service I'm used to, this spot is 2 days for most of my clothes and extra day for the rest. The clothes I did receive back were not thoroughly cleaned. I only had 9 pieces to have pressed and dry cleaned. The customer service was average at best. First and last time going to Jack Brown, at least this location.

Do not take your clothes here. It is simply not worth the risk…read more I've had nothing but great experiences with Jack Brown Cleaners in Austin, which is why I didn't think twice about using this San Antonio location. I should have. They destroyed a $160 pair of pants--ripped beyond repair--and instead of telling me, they folded them up, put them in the bag with the rest of my clothes, charged me, and sent me on my way. I didn't discover the damage until I got home, at which point I immediately drove back. That level of dishonesty is honestly worse than the mistake itself. Accidents happen. Trying to hide them is inexcusable. From that point on, the customer service somehow got even worse. The woman who is consistently working the front counter is one of the rudest customer service employees I've ever dealt with. Every interaction felt like I was inconveniencing her because they destroyed my clothing. Her manager, Joyce, wasn't any better. There was no apology, no ownership, and no effort to make things right. Instead, I was bounced from person to person, told to call people who had no idea what was going on, and given whatever answer would get me out the door. It ultimately took four or five separate trips to the store to resolve something that should have taken one. At one point, they neglected to mention that I needed to bring a printed purchase receipt for reimbursement, so I drove there for nothing, had to drive home, print it, and drive back again. Somehow, every step of this process was made harder by employees who either didn't know their own procedures or couldn't be bothered to explain them. The only reason I was eventually reimbursed was because I happened to have bought the pants online and could produce the receipt. If I hadn't, I likely would have been out $160 because of their mistake. Ironically, the corporate office was excellent. They eventually sent me a reimbursement check along with a genuine apology. Corporate clearly understands what customer service looks like. This location does not. Destroying a garment is one thing. Hiding it, charging the customer anyway, refusing to take responsibility, and then making them jump through hoops for a month to fix your mistake is another. This was, without question, one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I will never trust this location with another item of clothing, and I strongly recommend you don't either.
