Although warned a leather coat would take a month for cleaning, (and I thought that incredibly long), I let Jack Brown take the coat December 28, 2025. No one at the store could describe what would be done to the coat that would require such a lengthy cleaning process. I had to wait 6 weeks for the coat to be returned. After stopping at the store to inquire about the coat, I was told it might take longer, February 1. Yesterday, February 11, I called to ask for the coat to be returned. They would investigate. They never called back. I called today February 12, and was told the coat was ready. A tag in the lining of the coat indicated it had been cleaned on January 12 for $46. The cleaning tag indicated that it had been returned somewhere on February 3. That tag indicated the price at $78.91 (quite a mark-up). read more

First time trying Jack Brown. I usually use Comet Cleaners. Jack brown is not only more expensive but they are also slower and don't do good of a job. Instead of the one day service I'm used to, this spot is 2 days for most of my clothes and extra day for the rest. The clothes I did receive back were not thoroughly cleaned. I only had 9 pieces to have pressed and dry cleaned. The customer service was average at best. First and last time going to Jack Brown, at least this location. read more

Terrible customer service at the Broadway store in San Antonio. A jacket of mine sent for dry cleaning was replaced with a similar jacket but not mine. When I attempted to resolve the issue and have reasonable discussions, I was met with two very rude employees who made this my fault. Worst customer service ever. First time trying the cleaners located at 6316 N. New Braunfels. Took six items. Five were pants. My pants are used for my job as a professional regional manager. My order was ready in two days. I picked it up and drove home. I did not inspect my clothes. The following morning I grabbed this pair and put them on. I do not look at the bottom of my pants. Never do. While at work, one of my employees pointed out this tear in my pants. I was totally surprised at what I saw. After work, I drove back to the cleaners to show them the damage. I spoke with Adrienne and she was very apologetic. In my presence she called the manager, Eve, to report what had happened. Eve's response was " we'll hem them."  Adrienne explained that this was not possible. Eve's next response was " we will make them shorts."   I could not believe the lack of compassion. Neither could Adrienne. Adrienne asked me to return with the pants and that she would contact the area manager. The Following day, Saturday, I went back and dropped the damaged pants.  I was assured someone would reach out to me the following week. This was this past week. No phone call. No return call. Nothing. Today, 20 Nov 21, I go back for a third time and Adrienne proceeds to tell me that Eve attempted to call me. This is a boldface lie. My cell is always by my side and there was never a call.   Adrienne then offers me a store credit of $40 which I refused immediately. Why would I frequent this establishment after what I was going through and the treatment I was receiving? I asked for the owners name and number and Adrienne tells me she does not have that info readily available. Of course not.  I look up on the internet and find that Kevin Brown owns the cleaner.  I have to assume that with their storied history, the Brown family would ever allow this to happen. This place doesn't deserve to be in business. When I drop off before 8am she always says I can't get same day pick up. BUT today was the kicker. I stop by at 2:15pm to pick up and several people walking away from the locked door say note says gone to lunch, be back in 20 minutes. So, I go back by at 4:00pm. Store is still locked same note on the door. I decided to call before I go. Guy answers after about 15 rings. Says he'll be back in 10 minutes. I wait 30 minutes to leave the house. I get there, no one home but a steady line of angry customers coming by to pick up their clothes. I call the number again, no answer. Other customers have called at various times during the day and they said he told them all 10 minutes. So, this guy has lied about times to at least 4 customers varying from 1 to 3 hours waited past his 10 minutes to be back. I along with 3 other cars wait in the parking lot for someone to show up. Up rolls a pick up blasting music with a bunch of lawn equipment in it. Parked front and center in front of the store where customers should be allowed to park. Out jumps the guy in a sleeveless shirt covered in sweat. Jack Brown Cleaners, this is unacceptable and you can have your bag back, I would rather make a 5 minute drive back to where I'm treated right and the store is actually open when it's supposed to be. I hope you make the necessary changes at this store. If it's not same day before 9, take it off your website. I go before 8 and she won't do it. You need to fix that store. THEY MADE IT RIGHT!!Is there a 0 star rating for this place!!!? I dropped my clothes off over a year ago and they lost them. They suddenly called me and told me that they had my clothing items. When I went to pick them up I told them what happened. They did not care they wanted payment for the items. I advised her that services were not rendered as agreed. I asked to speak to the manager. She claimed to make a phone call to the manager and the manager said it was my problem because I had left the items there. Clearly the employee had not told the manager what really happened. Brought a dress here to be dry cleaned. When I got the dress back not only was the fabric ruined, clasp that holds the dress together was broken. I had to bring the dress back to show the damage and they claimed they'd fix it. They gave me an estimated three weeks later that it would be fixed and when I showed up three weeks later they still did not have it and had no idea where my dress was. I was told to come back in two or three days and then they should have the dress. Dress still ruined and clasp broken. Haven't given me any sort of recourse and I would recommend to never use these people for your dry cleaning needs read more

I had 14 items that cost me $184.00. That is way too expensive. Four of these items your receipts stated you could not clean or press because of buttons. My sports jacket and a polo shirt was still dirty. I had to use a wet towel to remove the spots while I was on travel. I was over charged for items that were not cleaned or pressed. read more

I started using Jack brown cleaners because I moved. In just 6 months I'm disappointed; they have horrible customer service. One of my son's shirts is missing and I never received an update. I have to call or stop by. It's been a month and never a phone call--I was told to come back to fill paperwork so I can ask for reimbursement. I finally asked if she could look for it--and somehow the clerk found a form. I completed it today July 12th--shirts has been missing since June 10th. I should charge mileage and time too. Absolutely horrible, I was quoted 21 dollars to have 2 pea coats cleaned. When I went the next day to pick up I was told that it was 46 dollars! I told the girl what she told me yesterday and said oh sorry I should have clarified it was 21 per coat. When she clearly told me it was 21 for both because I asked her twice what the price would be. I told her I paid about 7 per coat at another comet and she said that this location (Broadway) charges more. I will make sure to tell everyone to steer clear of Comet Cleaners! They wouldn't take a nice evening gown because of the material but took another nice evening gown, a suit, a shirt, a sequined blouse, and a coat for $84. Lots of things went wrong here. First, like other reviewers, I asked for Laundry...and got charged for Dry Cleaning, this is AFTER the attendant verified that I said "laundry". Second, I asked for no pleats, and yet...here I am, with pleats in my pants. Third, and this is my biggest issue, when I picked up my Laundry (2 pants, 1 shirt and 1 uniform) it was 35$!!!!!!! WOW! How could this be so expensive I thought....well, they charged me for a 2 Piece suit, instead of a military uniform! Not a dress uniform, this was a normal Camouflage uniform! I honestly can't even wrap my head around how you can charge me 15$ to LAUNDER (not dry clean) an obvious uniform. Won't be back, ever, not even for a refund. I've been using this cleaner for years even though they haven't been very good and finally yesterday was all I could take. Their website says "when tomorrow is not good enough"offering same-day delivery of dry cleaning. I dropped my dry cleaning off at nine and was told it would be back not that day not the day after but three days later. They're unreliable do a poor job and finally I'd had enough so I took my stuff over to five star cleaners and they had my dry cleaning ready by six that evening. This place is terrible. They over starched all of my shirts even though I asked for medium, to the point that I couldn't even wear them and I couldn't get the starch out. This place is the worst place to get your dry cleaning. Not only do they over charge you but they don't tell you the price when you first drop off your clothes. I asked if they would honor any coupons and despite the fact that I was obviously upset that they would charge $50 for 5 items they said they could not. They only honor coupons if you drop off the coupons with your clothes. They think that because they are in Alamo Heights they can hike up the price. Customer service is obviously not important to this location. Dropped off 3 shirts to be pressed. Was given 2 when I came back to pick them up. Person working made no attempt to find my missing shirt, just kept asking me to come back the next day. The best part is she wanted to charge me for pressing all 3 shirts and I had to argue about why I wasn't paying for a shirt they can't find. Called the next day to speak to the manager who offered minimal assistance, asked me to give her until today to resolve and I never got a call. The absolute worst dry cleaner in town. Dropped off two coats. One to replace some buttons and one to replace a lining. It took them two and a half months! When they finally were ready they had sewn on mismatched buttons in the one and failed to replace the liner on the other. Utter incompetence. read more

It normally takes a lot for someone to take time to write a review. However, I can't believe the first place that I came to, having recently moved to town, was such an unpleasant experience. The young lady who took my clothes threw my expensive suits around in a bag like a cheap pair of jeans. She had absolutely no pleasantness about her and just a downright negative disposition. After I walked out, having left my suits, I went back inside and asked my suits back. I decided to take my business elsewhere. I normally have my clothing laundered at Culpeppers, but wanted to find a location closer to home. I tried Comet Cleaners off Broadway and Elizabeth and unfortunately did not have a good experience. I don't believe they spot check appropriately (even though I asked that they do so). I spent over 100.00 on several items, but was very disappointed when basic stains (dirt, lipstick, coffee) were not removed from my light color clothing. When I took the items back and asked if they could clean them again the manager told me I would have to sign a waiver in the event something happened to the clothing. Not willing to take that risk, and wanting to take the items back to a place I trust, I asked for my money back (just for the three items). The manager told me that they would not refund the money because they had already gone through the process. When I asked who I could speak to with the company, she told me that she was not allowed to provide any information but that I would have to look up the information on the internet. She said I could go online and look up "Jack Brown Cleaners". I was extremely disappointed with the service and will not be returning. I can understand if sometimes stains may not all get caught, but I don't understand allowing an unhappy customer walk out the door with absolutely no attempt to help or remedy the problem.
