First time user of this cleaner and I won't be returning. Very poor quality work with regard to these shirts. As you can tell, there is a huge color difference from an iron or some other device. Very unhappy with my experience. read more

My husband needed his new white suit altered very last minute. We came into see Alberto on a Friday evening and needed his entire suit slimmed by the following Monday. He welcomed us so kindly and had no problem helping us out by our deadline (we went to several other places before luckily stumbling upon Five Star Cleaners and they all wouldn't take the suit or we're going to charge us way too much.) the pricing was extremely fair and my husband got his suit fixed PERFECTLY just in time for us to use it on Tuesday morning. I love this location - I've used a variety of services here (laundry, dry cleaning, garment repair, tailoring) and have never been disappointed. Consistent, quality work at a reasonable price. I've mistakenly tried other Five Star Cleaners locations and this one is far superior. Service is fast and friendly - over the past five years I've had more than 200 pieces of clothing serviced here and nothing has even been lost or damaged. Pricing seems reasonable compared with other places I've tried - I have my dress shirts cleaned, pressed and starched and pay $2.60/shirt. Pant zipper repair/replacement was around $20. They always seem to have coupons available, so it's worth signing up for their savings club emails. read more

This review is about the tailoring at Carlton Oaks. Cynthia was my tailor for years, and then she took a leave of absence from this location. I really liked that she had Saturday hours. She tailored everything from capris to formal gowns for me. She also repaired the sleeves and buttons on a shirt that I bought from Harold's in 2006. I still wear it. Alberto began working at this location in 2017, and he worked M-F with a lunch break at ~1pm. His work is great. I bought a tropical wool skirt suit from Banana Republic online (sighy unseen and on sale) and had to have it altered. The suit went from looking like maternity wear to bespoke. He also altered a black "Edith Piaf" dress and a navy blue dress with an asymmetrical hem and pleats. The results were beautiful. Between the two tailors, they probably altered ten pair of slacks and capris for me. I'm tall and hard to fit, so their work has left me with a comfortable professional wardrobe. I moved away from San Antonio in June 2018. I have a drycleaner in Dallas that I love and am about to test their tailoring service. read more

Went in today to have my dry cleaning rushed and not only was the Gentleman Jaime at the counter professional, he was also very courteous. This location is horrible! Be careful, they are paying to 'hide' the bad reviews. I have spent $100's on dry cleaning at this location. Mainly because we are new to Texas and it was close to our home. Today I experienced the worst customer service yet so I will be driving to another cleaners even if it's not as convenient. The staff has been rude since day one acting as if we as customers owe them something. They easily forget the customer pays for a service. I will be posting on social media as well. I truly hope that at least new possible customers see this and stay away. read more

I always feel like I'm being cheated. Let me explain... 1.)They do not advertise prices anywhere in the store. 2.) I never get an itemized receipt when I pay and if you ask for one its a hassle. 3.) They will only honor coupons if you present at drop off. (is this so you can jack up the price and then discount the price? or do I get less quality work because I have a coupon? I moved here from Houston and have been getting dry cleaning done on a regular basis. I have never in my life paid as much money for the service then I had to at this place. The prices are outrageous!! The lady checking me out mentioned coupons but knowing it was my first time and I was visibly stunned she still didn't offer a discount of any kind. Amazing!!! Finding this place was a life saver! Four days before my prom I couldn't find anyone to hem my dress. Even places with "rushed services" said there was just simply not enough time to hem it but not this place! The man who measured me was so kind and considerate. I went back to speak with the manager who told me that she could give me back the $3 i spent with her or leave it there for another day. Unfortunately i am flying out before they open tomorrow. Awful! If I could give less than a star I would. I took a bridesmaid dress here to get pressed before the wedding. The first time I went to pick it up there was a water spot on it. The manager asked me if I had notified them of the spot beforehand. I explained that it was a brand new dress that had the tags on it when I brought it in. It then offered to redo it for "free." The 2nd time I went to pick up the dress, the original spot was gone but there were 2 new spots. The same manager then told me that he could try to get the spots removed but he could not guarantee it nor could he guarantee that there would not be any new water spots. I am now left with a ruined dress before the wedding where the Five Star Cleaners location did not reimburse my cleaning costs nor offer to help me buy another $280 dress. read more

Even with a coupon, they will charge you full price. This has happened to me several times in the past month. They corrected once I brought it to their attention. They are strict about having a coupon when you drop it off but then they don't even apply it to your purchase. I have only dealt with this location. If you decide to use them, make sure they are charging you the right amount. Their last mistake would have cost me over $15. read more
