Comet Cleaners - Special material cleaning came out perfect! - Laundry Services Near Me - Collierville, Tennessee

The good: they always have our items clean and on time. The bad: you feel uncertain if what you're getting back from them is actually yours. I've had that situation a couple of times when I've gotten our comforter cleaned. I'll be asked "what color is it" and then shown a couple of comforters that are that color and then asked, "Is this it?" I asked about the number on the ticket I was given when I dropped off the comforter and evidently they must not use them 100% of the time. I've been sent home with the wrong comforter before and it almost happened again. I understand there are ALOT of white down comforters out there, but isn't that the point of having a numbered ticket system? This hasn't been a deal breaker for us. I just know to look VERY CLOSELY at what I'm being sent home with. read more

Fast and quality service at a great price. Their drive thru makes it so much easier and quicker to pick up my clothes.

Very disappointed! Dropped of my father's suit jacket and pants plus his nice blazer for cleaning since they offer same day cleaning and he had a business meeting out of town the following morning. I asked the lady at drop off if they offered same day cleaning, just to be sure. She said they did so I handed the stuff to her. Their sign and website said close at 7pm, I got off work at 5:30 and was over there before 6pm and the place was closed. Now my father has to risk missing his plane in order to get his things. Won't be back here again for sure. read more

I had a previous BAD experience with this cleaner, but thought it was a one off situation. We continued to use them for the "simple things", shirts pants etc. Today, history repeated itself and will NEVER use them again! I dropped off a comforter a week ago, was told it would be 3 days, I returned to claim the item 7 days later- they had done nothing, it had not been touched. The girl who was looking for it-asked me did I know what it looked like?????? The (what i assumed) to be the manager /owner- came to the car window and proceeded to tell me things don't get taken care of when she is not there. And, got very "snippy" when she told me she was entitled to a personal life (and that her daughter just had a baby) and could not be there all the time. This is a business (albeit poorly run) I did not come to them as a friend- I came to them as a paying customer, and expected what I was told (allowing 4 days extra time). If they had told me 10 days up front, I would have gone somewhere else. I took it , untouched, dropped it off at another cleaner, and was promised it would be ready in 2 days. 100% would NOT recommend. read more

I've been going to this place for the last two in a half years. It seems like this past few months, our clothes has been missing buttons, stains were never removed even when we showed and asked them to clean it. On top of that, when I go and picked up the dry cleaning, I hand them their own coupons and it depends who is helping you, some will take the coupon, some says that I should have given it to them when I dropped of the clothes but even if I do, they won't honored it. They are very sketchy! Half of the employees don't know what they are doing. Ya'll just lost my business! I would advise everyone else to stay away!!!!! read more

I commute to Memphis weekly and and every week I am in need of reliable dry cleaning. I have been using Comet for years and have never had an issue. The staff is great and even know what shirt I need for which day of the week. Kelly in particular is always so fast and remembers ticket numbers and starch requests and always calls me by name. It's a great cleaner that feels like family. Highly recommend! read more

I had my duvet "cleaned" here. I took it out of the bag at home. While the stain was removed it had. This was replaced by multiple brown spots and an odd red coloring in another area. The duvet did not smell clean and still had my puppy hair on it. Explain to me how it still has hair on it if it was cleaned? I'll never go here again and tell everyone I know to avoid them. read more

I was initially turned off by this place because they have a sign that says 1 hour cleaning, but they don't offer 1 hour cleaning. I've used another cleaner in Collierville for the past year, but I was in need of 1 hour cleaning, so I decided to try this place instead. I was very disappointed when I found out my dry cleaning wouldn't be ready till the next day, but I was already there, and I didn't feel like driving to another location. When I went through the drive through the following day, I began to lighten up a bit because it was super convenient. When I got home and carefully examined my suits I was sold on this non-1 hour cleaning shop. They do an excellent job! They even put your tops and jackets in a bust form. I highly recommend them! read more

Would give it zero if I could. I should've stopped coming here after they missed a stain on my $70 Ann Taylor shirt and it wouldn't come off after their cleaning. Then I brought in my white winter coat for them to clean. It had dirt on it (just regular dirt after it fell on the ground, not some super tough stain). After they cleaned it, the stains were still there. They offered to fix it. And... the stains were still there after the 2nd cleaning. Far from refunding me for job not done, they didn't even apologize and the girl at the register could only give me a blank look. So another $150 down the drain since the coat is dry clean only and nothing is going to work on it now. Oh, and they also returned my gloves without outer shells (which they later found when I pointed it out, but still not a well organized service). Needless to say I won't be returning and won't recommend. read more

Went to four other cleaners on a Saturday morning, only Comet accepted and had ready same afternoon. I will continue with Comet. read more

the place literally says 1 hr. cleaners on the sign and does not offer 1 hr. cleaning (next day only).

I have always had outstanding experiences here! We wear our suits to work every day and they always manage to get them completely clean, and ready on time! We have also cleaned several delicate sweaters and they look brand new still. Great place with reasonable prices! read more

This place is awesome! Boy Scout uniforms are expensive. The patches can be worth a lot. The memories worth even more. This cleaner was recommended by a former customer. I stressed the importance and value of my shirts and they never disappoint. No stains left. No staples through the clothes. Very affordable rates and superb service. I am very critical and I have zero complaints. Aaaaa+++++++++!!!!!! read more

We have been utilizing Comet Cleaners for the past few months. We recently moved to the area and have been in search of a quality cleaner. Our search is NOT over. Since starting here we are estimating they have damaged, beyond repair, over $1,000 worth of shirts and taken no responsibility for the damage. One was burned on the color but were told it was that way when we brought it in. Others have had spots on them when we picked them up that weren't there when we dropped them off with notes saying "sorry we couldn't get this spot out", they still charged us for cleaning the shirt. Today my husband took out a shirt he hadn't worn in a few weeks to find an ink stain on it. He doesn't carry ink pens in his pockets so we are fairly sure the the spot came from someone else's pen. We know if we take it in they will say the same thing, it wasn't their fault. One other complaint before I close, they offered a coupon recently, $10 off $30 dry cleaning. I didn't connect the dots and realize that laundry didn't count, wasn't thinking that way. I saved up enough to make the $30 to use the coupon a few weeks ago and was told I didn't have $30 in dry cleaning, $6 of it was laundry. They didn't honor the coupon. Why put out a coupon that so few people would be able to use. Overall stay away! A few of the kids that run the front are good but overall most of them are clueless, just taking money and handing out shirts, hopefully all of your shirts and they are all your shirts, yes we had that happen too. On to the next dry cleaner. . . any suggestions? read more

I have brought several items here for stain removal. Both times it has been a fiasco. The first shirt I brought it took 3 visits over the course of a week for them to get the stain out that I brought the shirt in for. I told them on each visit where the stains were and each time they missed some of them. They definitely lost money on that one. I was impressed after 3 visits that the got the difficult stain out, but shocked that they were so disorganized and lacked a process to thoroughly clean the garment as requested. Each time I came back, no one cared that the shirt wasn't cleaned nor that I had to make 3 trips. The second time I brought a comforter in with a stain. I called to find out if it was cleaned after a week with no calls from them. They told me it would be ready on a certain day and when I called, of course it wasn't. They had a hard time even finding it and when I pressed them to really look for it, they finally found it and said it hadn't even been started on yet. After almost 2 weeks, it was finally ready. This business does a good job on the cleaning but needs some leadership from management to get organized and come across more professionally to customers. read more
