Wow, WOW.... Best gelato/Ice Cream in Roma!!! This place is not in the touristy area of downtown, but very walkable. It is sooo worth it! The first time I went there, yep I did go back again and again, I got a Cup of Peanuts and Crunchy Chocolate, sooo good. After watching others ordered I realized I messed up. You need to get it in a cone!!! They take a sugar cone and pour chocolate in it, look at the video! Then scoop they the gelato on, then they ask you if you want cream on top, then, they ask if you want chocolate drizzled on top of the cream with a cookie, oh yea I do. The second and third time I got Sour Cherry and Chocolate in a cone! One of my favorites! If you are visiting Roma, and you like gelato you must go here! What are you waiting for!!!!
I would give Come Il Latte 10 stars if I could. Easily the best gelato I had during my 12 day trip all around Italy. I spent two nights in Rome so I obviously came here twice! The gelato was rich and creamy and very high quality. You won't find bright green pistachio gelato here that's for sure. They had a large selection of flavors ranging from the classics to some more innovative flavors like ricotta. They offer you cream, a biscuit, or a chocolate dipped biscuit as a topping with every order. The chocolate dipped biscuit was decadent and I loved how the chocolate solidified as it flowed over the cold gelato. It was outstanding. The staff was also incredibly kind to us. It's a small shop so during busy times, be prepared to wait outside on the street. But I assure it's worth it!!
This is a must on your gelato tour of Rome, and is certainly among the best in Rome. The gelato is silky smooth, and super creamy. The flavors are rich and easy to savor. We went back multiple days in a row to try a multitude. Their cioccolate fondente (dark chocolate) is far and away my favorite. The others, like salted caramel, strattiacella, ricotta and pear, and simple vanilla are also exceptional. Give them a try!!
Really yummy. I had the Giandua hazelnut flavor. My husband had the Arancini peanut butter flavor and the café coffee flavor. The coffee flavor was very prominent like espresso. This was the first gelato place. We tried in Italy that offered you to put some chocolate sauce on top if you wanted it, they didn't charge for this
When I think back on the gelato I had in Italy, I think about Come il Latte. Perhaps recency bias, as it was the last one that I had but I believe it's just that good. The shop is cool and modern. The staff is super helpful and proud of their gelato. I had pistachio and chocolate and the flavors were wonderful. Truly a decadent gelato. They pass the test of having small batches in stainless steel covered containers. More importantly, it tastes amazing!
Some of the best gelato that I had while in Italy. It's a cute unassuming shop away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas. They spoke English so that was helpful to figure out what we wanted. Pistachio and salted caramel were both so delicious. Although it's messier in a cone it always tastes better this way!
This is truly the best gelato I've ever had! It's packed with so much flavour and the finish is so smooth!! They're open until 12 AM and the line for it is always long! But it's totally worth the wait. The service is super friendly and accommodating. It's small shop but beautifully designed. A lot of locals come here so you know it's goooood!
There are a variety of tours to take while on holiday. Some are location related, some are good related, and some should be gelato related. Diners tip: you will find plenty of gelato places throughout Italy. The key is to only go to the artisanal gelato places. Trust me, there is a difference. I highly encourage you to create your own gelato tour in and around any region that you were spending time in. You will be amazed at the flavors, the quality, and the artistry behind really good gelato. We stopped here late at night, because what is a day without gelato?! The customer service is absolutely phenomenal. We were graciously greeted, and made to feel welcomed. Interestingly, enough, you pay for your order prior to making any selections. I've noticed that this seems to be a fairly common theme with the gelato stores. I'm not certain why, but it's where I've seen consistency in business operations. Anyway, you pay for the size that you're interested in and then Select your flavors. I've noticed that most gelato shops, and this one is no exception, have their own specialty flavors, but also offer some interesting seasonal flavors. The shop was particularly generous in allowing us to taste some of the flavors prior to our selections. Call mom and they were happy to make flavor pairing suggestions. It could be, because I had an exceptionally large dinner, which my motto is have no regrets, but I found the portions to be extremely generous, and in truth fashion, I wasn't able to finish my gelato. And the flavor profiles are consistently delicious bite after bite, and the quality ingredients Are obvious in every bite This is truly a hidden gem because we ended up taking transportation and walking to find this off the beaten path store. Was it worth it?! Absolutely! Enjoy life and have gelato!

Delicious gelato from a place that feels off the beaten path and away from the crowds. They have house made waffle cones and bowls. You can choose dark or white chocolate to line your cone, 2 or 3 scoops (depending on size), fresh cream, chocolate drizzle and another waffle biscuit on top! You could have it in a sandwich, in a waffle with butter or yogurt. Lots of options! Decadent and sweet! It was a great way to eat after walking off the day's food while heading back to our hotel lol. Not too far from Roma Termini. We had gone to another place with a similar idea, but their gelato was too soft and melted quickly. The lines were long at that other place and the woman who helped me was not nice. Our second gelato place and just as amazing in it's own way! It's more of a denser gelato and full of flavor. I got pistachio and hazelnut again since I wanted to see if it all tasted the same. It's different! I definitely like the pistachio here! The housemade cone with dark or white chocolate made it even more decadent but I had to! I must say it has it's own creamy delicious flavor. It's a cute classy shop and the people helping us work hard, are respectful and know their stuff! Enjoy! read more
End of a tiring hot summer day, temperature has cooled down.....yelp to the rescue to find some of the best gelato within walking distance of our apartment. There are so many tourist gelato traps that you do need Yelp guidance to find the real deal. Real gelato is an art to make sure no crystals form during the process and the gelato is as smooth in texture as possible. We didn't really see Come Il Latte in it's best light. They had no waffle cones available. The dark chocolate fountain wasn't working. And the gelato was pretty melty, at least compared to the other photos on here. It didn't matter. Plain cone with white chocolate drizzled inside first to jazz it up. Then a scoop of hazelnut and a scoop of pistachio, topped with whipped cream, and waffle wafer half dipped in white chocolate. SOLD! The key was to sit on their bench outside and eat it quick before it dripped all over the ground. Truth is, I sacrificed a few drips of ice cream while I quickly took a photo. The things I do for Yelp. Yes the pistachio is as amazing as everyone says, make sure that's one of your flavors to try. The white chocolate was high quality, so I'm sure the dark is great as well. The memory of speeding through that cone of bliss, trying to protect every last drop before it ran down my hand and dripped on the floor, sitting on their bench at dusk with my family doing the same....well isn't that the reason to go to Rome? read more
As soon as we got off the plane in Rome, we had a couple of hours before we had to get on our night train to Venice. Hubs wanted gelato, of course, so we came here. I got cookies and cream and pistachio, and the hubs got hazelnut and coffee. They both came with a wafer and chocolate drizzle (white chocolate for me, dark chocolate for him...although he asked for both initially ). The gelato was super flavorful, super creamy, and the staff were really nice. I can definitely see why this place is rated 5 stars on Yelp! read more

Probably the best Gelato I've ever had. My favorite flavors here are chocolate, pistachio, and Salted Caramel. Whenever I was near by, I made sure to make a stop over and get my gelato fix. read more
This is the best gelato in all of Italy. My husband and I spent two weeks in Italy and went to Rome, Viterbo, Siena, Florence, Daone, Verona, and Venice, and no gelato we had comes close to Come Il Latte. The cones are house made and you get to pick between either the dark chocolate or white chocolate fountain to fill your cone. Then you can choose 1 or two flavors (I did cookies and cream and hazelnut, husband stuck with limone). All the flavors were divine. You can choose to add whipped cream on top, and they add a waffle chip to the top along with more dark or white chocolate. This place is way out of the way of all the tourists sites and we only happened upon it because it was around the corner from our hotel. No matter where you are in Rome, you MUST find a way to get to Come Il Latte. We will recommend this shop to everyone we know who will be visiting the beautiful city of Roma! read more

Came here because my wife did some research on where to get the best gelato and this place didn't disappoint. Hazelnut and pistachio were my favorite. Definitly worth checking out or even going a little bit further to check it out. read more

For 5 Euros I was able to get chocolate dripped inside of the waffle cone, two scoops of gelato with vanilla or plain whipped cream and a chocolate dipped waffle cone wafer. They have a large selection of gelato and you honestly can't go wrong with any of them! This was my second favorite gelato place in all of Italy and I had gelato 9 times! read more

The staff, the shop, the flavors, the presentation were all amazing. The gelato was super delicious and they use natural ingredients with grass fed milk for their creme gelatos. I had guanabana and salted caramel, they were both super delicious. It was very nice to see guanabana in Rome because it is not common. They also make fresh waffle cones! The owner is very sweet and chatted with us as well as the employees. The employee that helped us took his time to explain the menu and the flavors to us and allowed us to try many flavors. They also have great prices for the quality and portion. I bought three fresh waffle cones with two scoops each for 13€. I definitely recommend this place! read more
I cannot stress this enough... YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS GELATARIA!! Tucked away on a little side street, but the place is as cute as it is delectable. The creamiest gelato we have ever had, and SO FUN to have the chocolate drizzled into the cone prior to filling with your favorite gelato flavor. The staff is awesome, and take such pride in what they serve you. The prices are awesome and the portions very large. There was a line out the door when we left. Come Il Latte literally translates to "like milk" and I can attest. They've got some of the creamiest treats in town. AND they've got a chocolate fountain to fill the bottom of your cone and drizzle on a wafer to top-off your dessert. Options include dark chocolate and white chocolate. Decadence, because you deserve it. We tried pistachio and nociolla (hazelnut). Loved both. This gelato spot was by far my favorite one since visiting Rome and southern Italy. We came here on our first and last day in Rome and had a wonderful experience both times. The portion sizes are a bit large so I recommend sharing a cone. My husband and I tasted several flavors but I by far enjoyed the roasted pistachio-it was naturally flavored and very creamy! They make their waffle cones in-house so I highly recommend getting your gelato on a cone. They drizzle either dark chocolate or white chocolate inside the cone before adding the gelato and topping it off with their house whipping cream, cookie and drizzled with more chocolate. Great hidden spot for traditional Roman gelato! I definitely suggest getting the dark chocolate inside the cone and the vanilla whipped cream on top. The price was fairly reasonable for a two scoop cone, but definitely not a cheap gelateria. They take card here, which is a plus when traveling in Rome since many places don't. The coffee flavor was not as intense as I would have hoped, but I love coffee and I am a big fan of stronger flavors. The Nutella flavor was very creamy and delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The one downside is the size of the establishment since it is very small and they do not have much seating, but not many places in Rome do. read more

This is the best gelato in Rome! A local recommended this shop to us so we had to try it out. After eating gelato 2x a day the whole time we were in Italy this was hands down the best. The workers are really nice, efficient (considering there was a long line) and I highly recommend this place even if it is far out of the way -- it's totally worth it. Definitely get the handmade cone for a euro more. read more
It's pretty awesome we got to experience this place. Their pistachio gelato ice cream was phenomenal. It's a small place near the Borghese Galleria museum and it's worth making a trip out here. It's a good thing that this place is no where near I live. If it did, I'd be coming here every day and that won't be good to this sugar-addict. read more

The best ice cream place I've ever been to. I've tried 7 different flavors and none of them disappointed me. You can definitely tell that this is homemade and quality ice cream. They aren't flavorless or full of air. And most importantly, they are pretty cheap. You can get a cone covered in chocolate with 2 flavors for 4€. It is so worth it! read more
Chocolate was extremely rich and barely finished it. Pistachio was my favorite. I kinda wished all 3 scoops were pistachio... I don't remember what my third scoop was. The lady working there was really nice and helpful. After trying out 4 other highly rated gelato joints, this place is my favorite. The best gelato I've ever had. read more

I will not be the one to break this perfect rating. This place has some of the worlds best gelato. What makes this place exceptional is its interesting location. It is not near any of the touristy spots you will be visiting when in Rome. If its close to anything it would be the train station. My fiance and I walked here from the Spanish Steps which took about 20 minutes but it was worth the pleasant stroll. This gelateria is surrounded by homes and is literally in the middle of a neighborhood. Adults with their children playing outside and no vehicle traffic. The employees don't speak English so be prepared to order in Italian! Their gelato is out of this world creamy (ordered the Nutella) and they have a flowing chocolate or white chocolate fountain they will drop your treat under if requested. If you have time to talk a walk through the city, willing to grab a taxi or need a snack on your way to the train station please do yourself a favor and visit Come Il Latte. read more
One of my favorite Gelato spots in all of Italy. The pistachio here is perfect for me. Savory and creamy with that perfect amount of pistachio flavoring. Wife got the caramel and it was good enough to make me change my go to choice to caramel. We got in and out with not much of a line that moved very quickly. Priced great. We were able to go back a second time on our last day and wish we could have gone a third. If anyone from the states wants to bring me back some. Ill pay a good fee. Just message me. It was our last night in Rome and Come il Latte came highly recommend - it's not all hype folks! Trust the reviews, trust your friends, trust strangers when they say GO! We ate gelato all over Tuscany but this was hands down the smoothest, deepest flavored, and prettiest presentation. Thoroughly enjoyable and the cutest place. They're open late, but even after 9 PM there's a crowd. That didn't stop the staff from being friendly and helpful. Truly a treat (we loved the neighborhood as well). 10, 10 would recommend! read more

Best gelato in Rome. We tried lots of different gelato places but this one was way above the rest. You can stick with just basic gelatos, try fancier ones and upgrade your cones and dishes with melted chocolate. Definitely check this place out. read more

Really fresh gelato, and my favorite part is how customizable it is. I put melted white and dark chocolate on mine, and there was also the option for whipped cream! I got a fresh waffle cone, and my friend got gelato on a freshly made waffle which was SO GOOD and warm and filling. read more

THE BEST GELATO! Period! We came here, unashamedly, every day we spent in Rome. A small cone (and, yes, you want the cone) starts with a choice of white or dark chocolate coating the bottom of the cone, two flavors of some really high quality gelato, whipped cream, and a cookie dipped in either white or dark chocolate. It is truly a place you need to check out. If I find my way back to Rome, I'll be finding my way back here too! read more
