UPDATE: 8/09/2026 -- In response to the owner's comment: Your response makes it clear that you did not fully understand my original review, which unfortunately reflects the same communication issue I experienced while trying to book an appointment. I went back and forth attempting to schedule for weeks and tried to book on three separate occasions. When I finally called and someone answered, there was a significant communication barrier, and the call ultimately ended with the person hanging up on me. You're correct that I've never received a service at your salon--but that is precisely the point of my review. I repeatedly tried to become a customer and was unable to successfully book an appointment. My review is about the customer service and booking experience I personally received. If your salon is so heavily booked that you are unable to accommodate new clients, I completely understand. However, potential clients should simply be told that upfront rather than spending weeks attempting to schedule an appointment that is never confirmed. Professionalism begins before a customer ever walks through the door, and unfortunately, my experience trying to become a client was enough for me to decide to take my business elsewhere.

I can't recommend Gabe at Coma Salon highly enough! After a traumatic haircut elsewhere, I found him and have been a loyal client ever since. As someone with curly hair, I know how crucial it is to find a stylist who truly understands it. The moment I saw Gabe's own curly hair, I felt an instant sense of relief. Gabe is not only incredibly skilled but also gentle and kind. He's supported me through my hair journey for years, even when I moved away to the US Virgin Islands. Every time I come back to Houston, I make it a point to book an appointment with him. Last year, I decided to take a leap and try a color treatment. I was anxious, but Gabe was so patient and thorough, answering all my questions and guiding me through the process. His artistic vision is matched by his ability to make clients feel comfortable. During my most recent visit, he noticed my thinning hair and was careful to work around the new growth. It's clear he genuinely cares about his clients' well-being. Gabe fosters a supportive atmosphere, not just for his clients but for his staff as well. It's inspiring to see how he encourages continuous learning among his team. Coma Salon is a special place, and Gabe is a phenomenal stylist and person. I've had some of the best conversations with him in the chair, and it's always a pleasure to see the environment he's cultivated. If you're looking for a stylist who truly understands hair, especially curly hair, look no further! read more

Coma Salon offers a perfect experience from the moment you step into the shop until you walk out! The ambience is inviting, radiating good energy throughout. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel comfortable from the get-go. Gabriel is truly brilliant, taking the time to understand your needs and preferences. He made sure we established the goal with color, length and highlights! He's also meticulous with the color and walks you through every step of the process. You can tell Gabriel truly cares about the integrity of your hair and is very easy to talk to! Moreover, they excel in finding the perfect products for your hair. Tori even took the time to teach me how to use them effectively, along with some handy tips for blow-drying. After just one visit, I received compliments on my hair, which hadn't happened in a while. That's the magic of Coma Salon! From my very first visit, I felt at home. The salon's inviting atmosphere and the genuine friendliness of everyone there make it a joy to return time and time again. If you're looking for a top-notch hair experience where you're truly valued as a customer, look no further than Coma Salon. Highly recommended! read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience at Coma Salon. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the level of customer service was beyond exceptional. The entire staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable, but what truly stood out was the personal touch they brought to every aspect of my visit. I had the pleasure of working with Gabriel, whose expertise in hair restoration is truly unmatched. He took the time to listen to my concerns and carefully assessed my hair needs. Gabriel's knowledge and passion for his craft were evident as he walked me through every step of the process. His approach was not just technical but deeply caring, ensuring that I felt understood and confident throughout. The results have been nothing short of life-changing. My hair feels healthier, fuller, and more vibrant than it has in years. Gabriel's personalized care and attention to detail made all the difference, and I am beyond thrilled with the outcome. I had an awesome experience at Coma Salon with Tori and Coma's amazing team! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and felt instantly at ease in the chic yet comfortable atmosphere. Tori worked her magic with a full foil, cut, and style. Lindsey also did an awesome express smoothing treatment and that left my hair feeling the best it ever has! Tori listened attentively to what I wanted and offered expert advice, that truly gave me a better result than I imagined- I feel like my best self! What impressed me most was the teamwork. Even though Tori was my primary stylist, everyone pitched in and was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. It truly felt like a collaborative effort to make sure every client received top-notch service. The salon itself is beautifully designed, with a modern aesthetic that doesn't sacrifice comfort. I can't recommend Coma Salon enough for anyone looking for not just a hair transformation, but a relaxing yet fun salon experience. Coma Salon was a great experience for both my Wife and I. We scheduled our appointment online, and received updates via phone call prior to our appointment. The location of Coma Salon is near Buffalo Bayou park and within a growing and trendy area. Coma is amazing from inside and out, and the staff are friendly, and personable. We were welcomed at the front desk, and prepped for our scheduled appointments. We both scheduled to have our haircut and styled by Gabriel. Stephanie & Martin helped prepare my Wife's hair with a thorough wash and dry prior to having her hair cut/styled. During that time, I was having my hair cut. Gabriel has a way of connecting with his clients and even creating new relationships with people in the salon. Overall, the experience was fun, high quality, and left a positive impression on both us. Looking forward to coming back. read more
