Guess what? the bowl of soup still came with pork in it.. you shouldn't have a soup labeled under chicken, beef, pork, etc. if it's gonna have other meats mixed in it. After I refuse a bowl because they had pork,they made me another bowl with beef and no pork and five minutes later they played the unholy song by Sam Smith while I was there with my family, my two baby boys and my daughter .. It is indeed the best Vietnamese restaurant in Fresno. We have tried their spring rolls, egg rolls, chicken pho, tofu & vegetable pho, pad Thai, grilled pork and egg roll combo... etc. All those were so delicious. I especially like MY own combo of spring rolls and egg rolls. A little downside is that they are slow at times (too popular) but are getting better for sure. I came late to my order pick up but it was still not ready but I guess it was because they had to cook the noodles fresh. Overall, the broth was a bit too salty and barely any meat in it. Can't believe I haven't written a review for Com Pho yet. Super delicious spot, with great portions for the price. I love that you can order food for pickup online. When I placed my order, I ordered the shrimp spring rolls and the grilled pork banh mi. The spring rolls were delicious. Perfectly rolled and the shrimp were nicely cooked and very tender. The banh mi was also delicious. The pork was so flavorful and juicy. I love the generous toppings they give as well. Bread was crispy and warm. I recommend checking Com Pho out! I LOVE THE "SP1" When I tell you that this place has the best Pho in town it really does! I love their spicy coconut broth that they use for their Staté Pho. This place was my go to place, but the portions have gotten smaller while the prices have skyrocketed. Now, they only give you a thimble of chili oil and they charge a lot extra for another thimble of chili oil. Several times, they were out of chili oil. WOW. There are not many places in town that make me excited for a meal but this place is one of them! The older folks who run the place don't speak great English, but don't let that dissuade you from ordering from here. Their son or relative is here after school hours to help out but the older folks understand if you point to what you want on the menu or tell them the number of your dish. After my first difficult interaction with them over the phone I was skeptical that it was worthwhile, but once I took a bite of my meal all frustrations were erased. Their food speaks volumes for itself. It is fresh, authentic, generous in portion size, and DELICIOUS. My mom, the ultimate critic loved the bun dish she ordered. I loved the bun dish I ordered. I fancied something different for lunch and couldn't decide what. I just knew I didn't want any meat or bread, something to pick up quickly. I remembered I'd seen this place when visiting Fresno Bagel next door, and they're on a few online services where you can order and collect. I ordered a tofu pad thai for pick-up and it was ready within about 15 minutes. They've cleared all their seating aside but have a spot to sit and wait. There's also plenty of space outside to wait for your order. The server on the till was wearing a mask, they're also selling handmade cloth masks for $4 or $5. The server was very friendly. Got my food home and it was very fresh and hot. The noodles were well coated, and the beansprouts were off to the side with a wedge of lime and some ground peanuts in a little tub. I don't like a lot of peanut so I liked that it was separated out. It was really tasty, nicely balanced, and a really solid portion size for $11. The tofu had good texture. The egg was scrambled and sliced in strips so I think it'd be easy to omit if it's not your thing. I haven't had a lot of pad thai (or Thai or Vietnamese food in general) but this was the best one I'd had so far. Quick and easy experience for a nice meal. Almost 3 years ago, I stopped by to order a bowl of beef pho. Since then, I've been to just about every other pho restaurant in Fresno, eating bland soups, nasty soups, and delicious soups. I've even ordered pho at Thai and Lao restaurants, which missed the mark in terms of the savory broth for which pho is known. I came back today, and my order is still being made. If you like calling in to place an order, being told that it'll be ready in 25 minutes, giving them an additional 10 minutes, then being told that it's still not ready so you go next door to Smart and Final to shop for groceries, and finally coming back to the restaurant after dropping off the groceries to be told yet again that your order IS STILL NOT READY, then definitely come eat here. If I can make a suggestion, DON'T PAY FOR YOUR FOOD UNTIL THE CASHIER HANDS YOU THE FOOD. There were all of 2 customers when I was there, when I left, and when I come back. Food is decent, but such a strange dine-in experience. There was some sort of a party going on with EDM bumping in the background in the adjacent store. The waitress was nice and trying her best, but the food came out very slowly. We were the only diners, but there were a few take-out orders and this poor girl was dealing with everyone on her own. The restaurant was hot, so the waitress turned on the fan when we walked in and opened the front door, which, of course, in came the flies and the cigar smoke from the party party next store smoking cigars right outside of the restaurant. I definitely won't be dining here soon again, but not sure if I would even do take out because everyone sat around to wait for their take out orders. I DoorDashed the grilled pork again because my son who has sensory processing disorder due to autism spectrum disorder absolutely loved the grilled pork which is a huge deal because prior to this he only ate a few things in life ( only certain kind of chicken nuggets from Tyson , spaghetti, koobideh ) I'm so happy that I can add one more food item to his "things-he-eats". This is still my favorite place to order Vietnamese food!! Besides their dry vermicelli with grilled pork and egg rolls, I also loved the pho sate and the spicy hue noodles. Their grilled pork banh mi is way better compared to other places. Baguette is the right size with the right amount of meat and vegetables. Flavors are great! I introduced their banh mi to co-workers, they loved it since. I'd recently started on low carbs diet and they were very nice to replace the noodles with more veggies. That just blew my mind. We happened to come across this pho restaurant when the sushi restaurant we wanted to eat at was busy. The interior was nice and clean (compared to other pho restaurants we have eaten at in the past) and the young man working there was polite and very helpful. He told us to sit where we would like and brought us our menus and some water. The pho was delicious and so was the chicken fried rice we ordered. The only complaint I have was that it took a while for us to get our food. Everyone at our table finished their pho before our rice was delivered to our table. The young man apologized for our boba drinks and fried rice taking so long but actually did something that no other pho restaurant we have been to has done, he asked us how we liked our food and thanked us for coming in. I believe it is the little things that gains repeat customers. Although this restaurant is a ways away from where we live, we will definitely return for the hospitality we received and the delicious food. I'm not sure why there are good reviews below. We just ordered food to go today, pho and a banh mi sandwich. Waited 40 min since placing the order for it to be completed. It was chaotic between the two servers/cashiers in terms of their roles and what to do but I also can't blame them because they seem young and the management are not providing good training. The most important part that deserve negative reviews were the food. Never have I been to a Vietnamese restaurant that put meat and onions IN the container of broth to go. They are suppose to be packed with the noodles to prevent sogginess of the meat and to keep it fresh. There was no basil provided with the pho and the viet sandwich was cut from a long baguette from the grocery store instead of an actual baguette that are purposely used for viet sandwiches. The bread was also paper thin with rarely any filling. Also, who puts barbecue sauce instead of pate suace in a grilled pork viet sandwich? Also, the broth was definitely diluted and watered down. The only good thing was the Vietnamese iced coffee. If the food was cheaper, then I would probably have let it go because you pay what you get but $9 for the sandwich and $16 for the pho- this is outrageously ridiculous. We have tried many Vietnamese restaurants and also being Vietnamese ourselves and this is beyond ridiculous with the food quality and price that they serve. We tried the pho and the spring rolls. The pho broth is mild and there is a decent amount of meat. It is a small, family owned location with a few tables to dine in. I enjoyed the spring rolls and the sauce. There peanut sauce is a great texture and it's not too sweet. However, we also tried the smoothie boba and that is VERY sweet.
