This provider is a short walk from Trimet in the Gateway area. They provided snacks, coffee, tea and water as well as cushioned chairs. My trainer today was Tim and he did a great job keeping things engaging and fun while providing feedback. Tim is an excellent trainer as he really understands the material and which pieces are the most important to understand and remember in a crisis situation. He met us where we were at, always polite and respectful and taking time to get to know us a bit. I highly recommend taking training here and I hope to return in the future!

Do yourself a favor and do not go here. Go literally anywhere else. I wish I had seen the Yelp…read morereviews prior to taking the class, because all of the one star reviews are accurate. I don't have a clue how the American Heart Association (AHA) feels comfortable with her teaching their BLS, CPR, and AED material. First, Linda has no regard for others time. The class was supposed to be MAX 4 hours, and she was rushing to get us out of there after 5 hours because she had another class coming in. She took all the time in the world to say whatever irrelevant stories she had to say, only to rush us through the hands on portion of it. I learn quickly, but I ask a few questions for clarity (e.g. where do you check the pulse on an infant?) and she was very aggressive and condescending in her responses. She had a lot to chat about with the one doctor in our class, taking up everyone else's time. It seems she wishes she was a doctor herself. She was dismissive of the nursing student in my class and completely condescending towards me. I have been CPR certified before, so I kind of know what I'm doing to begin with. I couldn't imagine her teaching someone who was totally new. Finally, she has you buy a book prior to the start of the class that you don't even open once.

We were made to purchase a $20 book as well but ended up not even needing to open it once. The instructor was extremely abrasive and yelled at students constantly. I understand 100% that CPR is so important but she would literally scream at people for no good reason. If you did one thing wrong, she would glare at the student and yell at them loudly in front of everyone. It was honestly extremely embarrassing and I left that class not feeling I learned anything and that everyone in that class was made to be a fool. Linda was extremely rude and made her class all about her own opinions on drugs and rarely spoke of actual proven science. I would not recommend this class to an enemy.
