He's helped me in a tremendous amount of ways..for example: real time help with real time problems that you experience when you're singing is invaluable. We all can hear and see ourselves when we're singing, but there are so many things we miss when we're alone. When you have a guide to pick up on those things and to notice your own specific patterns of behavior that tend to get in your way, you feel much more prepared to challenge yourself. I've gone from feeling embarrassed of how I sang at times to now feeling proud of what my voice can actually accomplish when all the gears are working properly. Anyway, Nevada's among the nicest guys I know (I've now known him for years and think of him as a friend) and still have no plans on ending our lessons. I really consider them more like an hour with someone who really wants you to be great--not there to just show you all he knows. He gets excited when he hears new things you've discovered in your own voice during lessons--it's all very positive. Being vulnerable is a huge part of voice lessons (a good thing to be when you're singing). Being shy is different, and something you can get over very quickly when working with someone like Nevada. Fantastic teacher.

My son started voice lessons at VOX via Zoom during 2020, transitioning to in-person for several weeks before heading off to college. He loved all of it and those Monday night lessons were a lifeline for him as his other choirs and school music classes were postponed due to COVID. His confidence grew, and he was accepted into his college's competitive top choir as a freshman (Matthew also helped him with his college admissions' supplementary vocal performance materials and he landed a vocal scholarship). The recitals are great milestones and provide a real sense of community despite the age and experience differences. I'd recommend him to any one at any level.

I started with Daniel just over a year ago, and he has helped me access parts of my voice I didn't…read moreknow existed. A few months ago, I literally felt a back room in my voice I had never accessed before. Without fail, either through lack of sleep, dehydration, the weather, yelling, or earlier bad habits, my voice has always found a way to be thrown off-balance. But those worries are now in the past. I've found a rehabilitation center, in the 45-minute weekly lesson, where my voice enters the hands of a vocal surgeon. I enter with a voice tensed up and short on range, and leave with an instrument I can be proud of. On top of all that, It doesn't hurt that Daniel's an all-around great guy, making lessons not only instructive, but enjoyable. 5 Stars. Highly Recommend.

I sing with a lot more confidence and have genuinely enjoyed doing my daily exercises, which he sends me in an audio file after each lesson. He's a very good teacher: patient, efficient and has specific, substantive skills to offer. Rather than trying to teach me a specific style, he's helping me get my voice muscles trained up so that I'm more capable of singing in the style that I'm interested in. It's sort of like Physical Therapy for your voice. I've had a lot of music teachers over the years, and I really think Daniel has a strong gift for teaching!

She has worked with several instructors over time, including Bex, Ari, and Luciana, and every single one has been amazing. Right now she is taking lessons with Sam, and we highly recommend him!
