A pleasant surprise! While unassuming at first, this was a little Italian gem with fantastic food. The carbonara was great, and a very healthy-sized portion. Prices are very reasonable, and the place wasn't too busy at dinner time so you'd probably be able to snag a table easily.

Spaghetti carbonara was deeelish!

I ran into this small, quaint Italian restaurant not far from my hotel. Service was excellent. Food was good not great but it hit the spot. I ordered fairly safe offerings: I started with the vegetable soup. It was very hot and almost burned my tongue with mostly potatoes and carrots and lotsa salt. Also had the carbonara and the pasta was good but could've been more Al dente but was good nonetheless. If you're hotel is nearby, yeah sure I'd try it again but otherwise I'd go elsewhere.

Good Italian restaurant in Westminster- very close to st James Conrad. All 5 of us enjoyed ourselves. Picky teenagers inhaled the pizza. We h had the trip crostini's for an appetizer which was nice. Generous pour if the wine made the cold rain fade away. Based on the kids reactions we might be back real soon

Pizza very original. Good taste.

Very original pizza Do not ask for pineapple on your pizza...I heard that would be a big crime in Italy, Haha Son enjoyed the pasta here

Five of us enjoying our lunch.

Convenient location with lovely Italian food. Very cozy inside with nice services. The server also taught us some Italian, which is very friendly of him. The food is hot and delicious. The pasta is fresh and I just can't stop eating. Definitely recommending this place.

Quiet but still open at this time of night!

Lovely little Italian on Victoria Street. Has a decent menu of traditional staples & changing daily specials for lunch & dinner. Last night was my second visit. Service was great, even though we were the last table in the place. They've got a good wine list. We shared a bottle of valepolencia. I had the lasagne. It was a good portion & full of flavour. The OH opted for the fillet beef from the specials & a lovely hunk of fillet it was. I'm not sure it touched the sides on the way down. I'm told it was cooked perfectly & was lovely & tender. As we were eating late I opted for a peppermint tea in lieu of dessert & the OH had a coffee. Handy Italian to know about in this side of the city.

Average, reasonable, decent. Just got to town and stumbled in with no actual expectations. All I wanted was ziti in a little sauce and a nice Italian beer to wash it down. (Check!) I had just gotten to the country, so I wasn't thinking of the exchange rate. I do think the prices are on the high side. The location is good and the decor isn't grotesque. The service was adequate. I was pleased. Even had a coffee after dinner. (Yes!)

This restaurant was walking distance from our hotel (on Victoria) there was no wait to be seated as we dined on a Thursday night. The place was busy but our food came out quickly. This is not the best tasting Italian good but it gets the job done and is reasonably priced. Caprese salad only came with one basil leaf and my garlic bread felt like someone just smashed some garlic on their regular bread. The veggies tasted fresh and I gave them a higher rating because our service was good and the price was right.

Fettuccine bolognese was tasty.

Authentic. Friendly. Reasonably priced. Good people watching. Highly recommend the antipasti, caprese salad, and Quattro stagioni pizza.

The setting was nice, but the service was tardy and unfriendly, and the starters and pastas were all simply bland. Really disappointed.

However, I need to warn my fellow Yelpers to stay away from Oliveto if you value Good Pizza! I mean, how hard is it to have good pizza!?! It is a simple staple which I have enjoyed in the US, in China and yes even in Italy. At it's most basic, it should be dough, sauce (doesn't have to be tomato necessarily), mozzarella and maybe some toppings, right? Here is where Oliveto went wrong for my mother and me: 1) they use cheap cheddar cheese - not mozzarella! 2) not a lot of sauce, maybe just enough to color it 3) the dough was soggy and didn't rise (I actually like thin crust, but this was inferior doug and 4) topping that were not as advertised, i.e. prosciutto should not look like and taste like store-bought sliced ham! Service was okay - the men like to talk about customers in their native tongue, thinking that patrons don't know what they are saying about them. We were so glad that we split a pie - most tables got a pie per person. Neither of us could finish this "pizza" honestly. Perhaps the only redeeming thing are the prices - this might be the cheapest choice in an otherwise expensive neighborhood.

It's a quaint little Italian spot in the heart of London and it's a wonderful place to spend, especially at night. We ordered the Spaghetti alla Carbonara, the Strozzapreti Boscaiola, and a Bellini and Mimosa to go with our dinner. The food took just a little while to get here but I was sure that it was because they were taking their care with every dish the chefs made. I was right. The pasta was fresh, the sauce and the ingredients tasted very simple and hearty. It all tasted like my hypothetical imaginary nonna made it. The drinks were very good too and complimented the food nicely. Our waiter was absolutely the nicest guy ever. He was very attentive and made sure that we were happy with everything. In my head, I was going to tip him well, and then when we got the check, there was no option to tip. God save the UK. America could learn a thing or two about what it means to not make life all about work. That's beside the point. If you're in London, visit Bon Gusto. I can't wait to come again and happily hand them my money with the biggest smile on my face.

I thought the olive oil and balsamic could have been better quality and the mozzarella was weirdly cold, almost like it had been frozen and thawed.
