Let's share some love! Oh we just did because we are sharing "cupcakes!"…read more While driving across the country, and hailing all the way from Las Vegas, we made it to Chicago . We have achieved some sort of appreciation and need to celebrate with love . We were seeking a cupcake institution to make our dreams of cupcakes possible . Lo and behold, beautiful things came to fruition! We have cupcakes! This business, small cakes is a great cupcake franchise that is all over the country, apparently! They even have some of the same flavors that we remember. Oh for the small joys of remembering the past now in the future. We are stopping just to pass through . It's truly amazing here in the city of Chicago! Cupcake rock! The cupcakes are amazing! The staff is even greater! It's so hard to order just one or two ! How about a half dozen? We will need cupcakes later on I'm sure . It was a joy to talk with the staff and have them fulfill all our cupcakes needs. Just like days of old, but in the now ! It's time to give the staff here some credit they are busy little humans making and selling cupcakes for all to eat and enjoy. The store was spotless . What's not to enjoy? We need to find out, the joys of being happy and having fun . Oh goodness, we found that here . Love and epic happiness await us as we keep traveling . Thank you for making our cupcakes and coming to work so that we had something to celebrate our happy with .

I've ordered from this store several times and never once had a problem. The fruit arrangements or…read moreboxes are always beautifully done, the fruit is always fresh and sweet, their dipped chocolate is delicious, the staff is always pleasant & helpful, and I've never had any issues with delivery. I attempted to place an order online yesterday and wanted to take advantage of a specific deal that was being offered online. I was having problems with my computer, so I called this store to place the order by phone. I spoke to Coraine who took my order but politely explained that the deal I wanted was only available if literally ordered online because the special was added on at checkout. So I modified my phone order and that was fine. Today when my order arrived for my sister, not only was it on time and perfect, but Coraine was able to adjust my order accordingly and we were surprised with the free chocolate dipped fruit box that was the original deal I wanted to get. Awesome! I have used this store for years and will continue to do so, as well as recommend it to others.

I understand that mistakes happen and businesses have difficult days. However, the way this situation was handled from beginning to end was unacceptable, and I believe Edible Arrangements corporate should be made aware of what occurred. My wife had just given birth to our baby, and because she enjoys Edible Arrangements, I wanted to surprise her with a nice fruit arrangement while we were at the hospital. The hospital is approximately five minutes from this location. I went into the store at approximately 11:00 a.m. From the beginning, the cashier was rude and unwelcoming. There was no greeting, and her demeanor made me feel as though I was inconveniencing her simply by being there. I asked whether there were any arrangements already prepared that I could purchase and carry out. She appeared bothered by my question and abruptly told me, "NO!" I then showed her a picture of the arrangement I wanted, which was one of the more expensive arrangements offered. My total was $157.20. I was told it would take at least two hours to prepare. Because my wife had just given birth and I wanted to return to her and our newborn rather than wait two or more hours, I paid an additional delivery charge to have the arrangement delivered to the hospital, which, again, is only approximately five minutes away. The arrangement never arrived as expected. At approximately 1:45 p.m., I called the store to inquire about the order. The employee answered with the same unpleasant attitude and told me that the arrangement had already been dropped off. I immediately went to the hospital's main lobby. There was no arrangement there. I called the store again and provided the precise address and location. After several phone calls back and forth, I was eventually told that the Uber driver had dropped the arrangement off at the medical center instead. I then personally went to the medical center to search for it. There was no arrangement there either, and I confirmed that nothing had been left for me. At approximately 4:12 p.m., more than five hours after I initially placed my order, I received a phone call from Sherbee Gomez, who identified herself to me as an owner/co-owner of this location. She informed me that she would personally bring another arrangement. At approximately 4:30-4:40 p.m., Ms. Gomez arrived with the replacement arrangement. After everything that had occurred, I expected at minimum a sincere apology and acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Instead, after handing me the arrangement, Ms. Gomez pulled out her cell phone and took a photograph of me holding it. She then made a comment along the lines of making sure "this one doesn't get lost." I found this extremely insulting and unprofessional. After I had spent hours calling the store, walking between buildings, and trying to locate an arrangement for which I had paid more than $150, the comment made me feel as though I was somehow being blamed or suspected of having received the original arrangement. I never received a genuine apology from the cashier or from Ms. Gomez. To make the experience even more disappointing, once we finally received the arrangement, the fruit itself did not taste as fresh or as good as we have come to expect from Edible Arrangements, particularly considering the $157.20 price and everything we had gone through to receive it. I have purchased from Edible Arrangements many times in the past. I live in the south suburbs and was only in this area because my wife had just given birth at the hospital. What was supposed to be a thoughtful surprise for her during one of the happiest moments of our lives turned into hours of unnecessary stress. I completely understand that delivery mistakes happen. An Uber driver can go to the wrong building. An order can be delayed. Had that been the extent of the problem, I would not be writing this complaint. My concern is how I was treated after the problem occurred. A simple apology, kindness, and genuine effort to resolve the situation would have gone a long way. Instead, I experienced an unpleasant attitude from the beginning, spent hours trying to locate a missing order, was made to feel as though I might somehow be responsible for it being missing, and never received an apology. Again, ai hope this helps someone else from making the same mistake I only blame myself the red flags were there from the beginning and I should've reviewed the store first.

Bialy's Café -- Real Breakfast, Real Prices, No Market Price Nonsense…read more After getting finessed at Maple & Jams -- where a skirt steak somehow ran $39.99 (and came out well-done when we asked for medium rare) -- I walked into Bialy's with my guard up, half-expecting another brunch scam. But Bialy's? Straight up restored my faith in breakfast. My girlfriend ordered the skirt steak again -- and this time, it came out exactly how she wanted: medium rare, flavorful, and worth every cent. Price? $19.95. No market price tricks. No guessing games. Just real food with a real price tag. I went with the Denver omelet and a side of sausage links, and let me tell you -- that omelet was fluffy, packed, and hit the spot. The sausage was solid, and we even squeezed in an order of French toast to share. Light, crisp edges, just the right amount of sweetness. You could tell everything was made with care. The crowd was diverse, the energy was positive, and the waitresses were friendly and on top of it. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there -- staff and customers alike. Bottom line: I came in feeling finessed from my last overpriced breakfast. But I left full, happy, and reassured that some spots still put people over profit. No market pricing games. No sticker shock. Just good food, fair prices, and people who clearly give a damn.

We chose the restaurant side and it has nice decor. They also have a lot with ample parking. Staff is warm and friendly. I do not remember the name of our waitress; however, she wore a traditional Japanese kimono and was very pleasant. I ordered a frozen pina colada and hubby ordered the frozen strawberry daiquiri. We started with potstickers. For our entrees, we ordered jumbo shrimp fried rice, shrimp with lobster sauce and shrimp pad see eiw. We enjoyed everything we ordered. There were quite a few patrons in the hibachi section which is where we plan on trying next time we stop in. Definitely a neighborhood staple and highly recommend if you're in the area.

Take out | Dinner | $100+ What a disappointment! I just…read morewant to start by saying that my family and I have been ordering from Chi-Tung for 15+ years. We have dined-in, used carry out, and even catered for Christmas parties. We loved this place, until my most recent experience. On Tuesday, June 23, I wanted sushi and panang curry for my birthday dinner. It's a 30 minute drive from my house so 1 hour round trip to get carry out. I love their food so I was willing to make the trip - I ordered $160+ worth of food for a family of 5. Pick up was no problem. However, the overall quality of the food was TERRIBLE - super bland with all of the sushi rolls and even my fave roll from there, Godzilla was just AWFUL - didn't taste anything like it normally does. Three-fourths of the order was sushi so that was super disappointing. My daughters' chow mein didn't have any noodles - it was just straight vegetables. She wouldn't eat it bc she wanted the noodles. The panang curry was the only thing that tasted good, but that was only a small part of the order. I was able to speak to the manager (Peg) on the phone a couple days later and explained to her my experience and she basically acted like I was lying, making the whole thing up. That I was supposed to save the food we didn't eat in a cooler and bring it back to the restaurant that day to get some form of refund. That was the policy. Not only that, she also said their recipe has not changed nor had anyone else complain about the food that day. I explained that we already threw out the food so that wouldn't be feasible and she basically said then there was nothing she could do and that she had to follow this policy. I'm sorry but I'm not driving an hour to return the bad food that a restaurant served me - 1. How is that sanitary? 2. Why are you calling a loyal long time customer basically a liar? 3. What kind of customer service doesn't offer anything to a customer that had a bad experience at your restaurant? She didn't seem to care when I told her that MY FAMILY AND I WILL NEVER COME BACK! I couldn't believe that's how a manager would treat a customer especially one that had been coming back for many years and recommends it to others. NEVER AGAIN! BOTTOM LINE: RUN, this place has definitely gone downhill and their customer service is the worse I've ever seen. The only way to save this place is fire that manager, fix the quality of your food, and treat your customers better
