Lo and behold, beautiful things came to fruition! We have cupcakes! This business, small cakes is a great cupcake franchise that is all over the country, apparently! They even have some of the same flavors that we remember. Oh for the small joys of remembering the past now in the future. We are stopping just to pass through . It's truly amazing here in the city of Chicago! Cupcake rock! The cupcakes are amazing! The staff is even greater! It's so hard to order just one or two ! How about a half dozen? When I called, Ms. Lori picked up and boy am I glad I got her! She was super helpful, patient, competent, and kind. She listened to my needs with the intent to assess them and then she offered me her timeless, tested, and tried wisdom, so that I would be set up for success to do the work myself. She ended her conversation with a rousing, " You got this" and hearing those words infused my heart with the encouragement I needed. It pays to be kind.
