I am a very lactose intolerant, borderline dairy allergy (severe migraines from it) person, and I've been eating vegan ice cream from various places for nearly twenty years. When I tell you this was the best vegan cookie dough ice cream I've ever had, I'm being so serious, and I wish that I had taken a video of my reaction because I audibly gasped and said "oh my god" on the first bite. I meant to post this yesterday when I visited, but after driving Uber Eats for hours, I passed out at home right away. Please take the time and energy to support this black-owned business. It's worth it.

I ordered the large cheese and caramel mix and a Small buffalo cheese. I have to say that I liked the buffalo cheese more than I thought. It has a kick to it. In my opinion, it's not hot but it has a kick and little bit of sweetness to its flavor. The cheese and Carmel mix was good. I loved the caramel. Cheese flavor was both cheesy and buttery. There flavors are overwhelming but in a good way. Both bags are full of flavor. I would say finger lickin good! Small bags was $4.5 Large bag was $8.50 The price is not exact but around that amount. I enjoy their popcorn. I will be going back to try something else. At the moment, they are only selling certain items. Popcorn, cupcakes , and whole cake; only because of the virus bs. But, I definitely want to try their banana pudding it looks good!

This was super helpful to have because I definitely had questions about some of the flavors, like what's in the Superman flavor? I'm not sure if we happened to stumble in with a tour group or something, but there was a huge rush of people when we went and the line went out the door! We quickly ordered so that we didn't fall behind in the line. I've never received a pager at an ice cream shop, but after ordering we were given one. None of the menus had pricing, so I was a bit shocked when our single scoop was retailing for somewhere around $8 pre tax...? I didn't get a super close look at it, but we got some kind of discount, potentially linked to the tour group, so with the discount I think it ended up being around $5. I think that's a pretty reasonable price for the scoop size we received; however, if we had paid $8/9 for the single, I wouldn't have been thrilled. In my opinion that's wayyy to expensive for a single scoop. The ice cream did have decent flavor and texture - just not sure how I'd feel about it if I hadn't received that discount.

I wanted to start with spinach artichoke dip. There was none. So, I ordered carrot and black bean tacos. The tacos were a good backup. Those who lean towards vegetarian would like them. I must say that I was expecting some heat from the jalapeños. For my main dish, I had the shrimp and grits. It took a few swallows before the flavor kicked in. The sauce was tasty, but was maybe a notch above mildly seasoned. I have a feeling that the tomatoes in the recipe added a little acidity. With the addition of spinach, this dish landed in gourmet territory. From what I gather, the restaurant has been under new management for a few years. It feels like they are working out kinks. I will give them a few months before I try them again.

I'm not really gonna talk about the ambience, because for me it wasn't there, but that is not the basis of my scoring. The old-fashioned made by our waiter was good, excellent, perfect. We wanted a margarita, but they let us know that they did not have the materials needed to make it. They also did not have the ingredients to make a few starters and entrées on the menu so their limited menu became even more limited. The food, we ordered crabcakes, and a colossal honey glazed shrimp. The crabcakes came out and they were flat, they looked like what was supposed to be one crabcake broken into three. The shrimp came out and instead of having colossal shrimp we had small shrimp, maybe even baby shrimp. We addressed the concern with the shrimp and they said they're not going to charge us for it. With our pasta came a side salad, the salad and the salad dressing, which was a lemon vinaigrette, was good. When we received the pasta, there was only four pieces of sausage, the chicken was unseasoned and the sauce was cheese sauce with hot sauce added, no other seasoning. Nothing about the pasta was Nola.
