I came across this place just by picking up an Uber Eats delivery order and saw that they had vegan…read moreice cream, and I could not allow myself to leave without trying it. I am a very lactose intolerant, borderline dairy allergy (severe migraines from it) person, and I've been eating vegan ice cream from various places for nearly twenty years. When I tell you this was the best vegan cookie dough ice cream I've ever had, I'm being so serious, and I wish that I had taken a video of my reaction because I audibly gasped and said "oh my god" on the first bite. I meant to post this yesterday when I visited, but after driving Uber Eats for hours, I passed out at home right away. Please take the time and energy to support this black-owned business. It's worth it.

The attendant was kind and helpful with the Boba! As a new customer, she offered me a 10% discount and informed me of the rewards program. Last couple visits my peanut buster parfait was made incorrectly and instead of complaining, I just…read moreate it.... It happened again tonight, which made me realize it's not the person making the dessert, it is how they are being instructed. A peanut buster is layered - fudge, peanuts, ice cream x 3, what I've been getting - peanuts, ice cream x 2, and fudge. Will it kill me to have less fudge? No, but if I'm paying for a particular dessert, it better be made right - thank goodness for posters. Anyway, when my husband brought it up to the young ladies, he was informed that the owner doesn't want fudge at the bottom, blah, blah, blah.... Meant nothing to me. Make it right. To the owner of Dairy Queen don't dumb your desserts down, charge high prices AND think it won't be noticed. I've gone to your Homewood location for YEARS and know what a good product looks like. I would HATE to think there's more behind offering less.

I TOLD HER I WANTED MY MONEY BACK. SHE TOLD ME TO WAIT. SHE APPEARED A FEW MINUTES LATER WITH A THICKER SHAKE. How hard is it to make a milkshake? That's a rhetorical question. It was $13.80 for a junior shake and a small shake. She refused to provide me with a receipt. The mint shake was terrible but my daughter did not care to have it remade. I don't give this place long with the high prices and poor quality. GO TO DAIRY PALACE INSTEAD! Frienly people who know what they are doing and they don't overcharge for their product.

I ordered a banana chocolate shake and she wanted the same but the employee helping her said they did not have any bananas. I was confused because I already had my shake served but didn't yet try it. Apparently, they ran out of bananas earlier that evening and the girl who made my shake just used a flavored syrup instead. Nonetheless, it was tasty so I was ok with the substitution. I think my mom would ended up with a strawberry milkshake. Didn't get to try it but it was pretty and she enjoyed it. This is a cute shop both inside and out and they have a great menu.
