Colorblast is the worst! I used them 2 times to paint the exterior of 2 of my rental properties and they seemed to do okay for a fair price. Then I hired them for a pretty big interior job painting my mom's house (who had passed away) including all interior, cabinets, removing popcorn from ceilings and paneling from 1 wall. I don't know where to begin. They took weeks to complete, which they never did. They flooded the floors, including the subfloor under the carpet, which the flooring installer later had to dry out to install the new floors. They was drywall mud and paint slung everywhere over the house and they painted over hinges, outlets, random light switches, alarm sensor, took down the fire alarms wired to the alarm system after removing the popcorn and sealed up the ceiling without replacing them. They didn't cover new doors and casings just installed by a finish carpenter, the doorbell case, or AC controller. They covered up all the AC & heater vents and turned on the heater, not once, but 2 more times after being told not to. They again turned it on with the return open with no filter so all the dust would go into the system with no filter. The walls looked like they were half way painted with primer or just not painted. The owner, Nathan, texted me in the middle of the night with rude messages. He told me that the house was just going to be sold, so why did I care if it was a good job. They left their food and junk all over the house and there was paint residue in the front yard, driveway and down the street. I gave him several chances to fix what he had done. It got to be too much damage. I paid them half of the money promised. I then had to pay another painter the full amount, plus much more for all the damage they had caused. I had to replace all of the outlets and light switches because so many were painted over, there was no recovery. They refused to return the 4 mirrored door railings that they took to remove all the paint they got on them. They are custom doors and I had to pay over $900 to get them replaced. When I tried to discuss it with Nathan's wife, the co-owner, Amanda, she threatened me with a mechanic lien against my property. They caused so much stress and so much damage and additional costs, I strongly advise anyone against using them for anything. The way Amanda treated me after finding out all of this happened, made it even worse. In my opinion, they are dishonest and terrible people from the owners down to the crew. I have so many photos and other workers that were there who can attest to how bad they really were!!! read more

If you have a newish house that can simply be power washed and then painted, they're fine. But if you have an older house with wood siding like I have, find someone else. Where they really fall down is on the prep work. We're having the house repainted now and there's a bunch of dry rot. Colorblast didn't remove the downspouts but rather just painted around them and left old, peeling paint of a different color behind them. They painted over light fixtures or tried to use masking tape rather than going to the trouble of removing them. They even painted over a brass padlock rather than just ringing the doorbell and asking us to remove it. They didn't use primer everywhere; the current painters said some of the paint is just peeling off because it wasn't sanded or primed. The contract promised that they would return to fix any problems withing a few years. It was like pulling teeth to get them to do this. They lied and ghosted us, and it took them close to a year to come out--I had to threaten them. Amanda was rather unpleasant, as maybe you can tell from some of her comments here. EDIT: Amanda says, "Painting contractors do not take gutters off. That should be a roofer or a gutter company. We will paint them or cover them." I'm talking about downspouts from the gutters down to the ground. They're attached to the side of the house--nothing to do with roofing. They painted the entire interior of our house, all walls, doors, baseboards, and the ceiling. They did a decent job, but not amazing. Their initial cost quote was accurate and fairly reasonably priced, but their timing quite was way off. First they shifted our start date 2 days later, which was a bit of a hassle, then they ended up still finishing a day early, which means their initial time quote was high by 3 days! While finishing quickly/early sounds nice, I think it showed. Almost every door hinge in our house has paint on it in a very messy and haphazard way. They filled large and small holes in the walls, but still ended up leaving quite a few open nail holes in the walls. There was dripped paint in our hallways and a lot in our main bathroom (including on the countertops and faucet). There was quite a bit of trash strewn in our backyard when they were done too (a couple empty paint buckets with dried up rollers, half drank water bottles, and more paint dripping on our deck and patio). read more

Amanda, to address your half truths and lies. 1) There were more than "a couple" of missed nail holes, probably closer to 50, and no attempt was made to patch them before they painted. I ask the workers to fix them, and they told me to mark them with blue tape, as I guess their vision wasn't good enough to see them. Also how can you NOT see a 3" diameter hole to fix before painting, and just paint over it, and expect me not to say anything? 2) The windows were open and the air conditioning was turned on, on the first day of the job. Only prep work was being done on this day, no spraying yet, there were no fumes in the house. The actual painting did not happen on that day. I had no problems with them turning on the air conditioning, but I did have an issue with the air conditioning running with the widows open. 3) Why do they have filters on the air conditioning intake? Isn't it to protect the air conditioner from potential damage? On the day they spray painted, they removed my filters, and had the air conditioner running on recirculate. All of that cloud of paint spray particles were traveling up to my air conditioning unit, which could potentially damage the unit, or shorten its life (see attached pictures of what I found after they left for the day). 4) Yes the house was dirty, with cobwebs everywhere. You saw it when you came to give me a quote, and told me the workers would clean the walls before painting. you never told me that I would be responsible for cleaning the walls. 5) The blinds your workers damaged were not old, they were just replaced less than two weeks before you painted. 6) I had no problems with your workers using the toilets while they were doing the job. But I do have problems with them using the toilets and not flushing when they are finished, leaving urine in the bowl. Gross. 7) The contract also stated that they would clean up after each day on the job. That didn't happen. There were french fries left on the floor (the ants thank you), empty water bottles left inside and outside the house, and cigarette butts strewn over the yard (see attached images), that I got to clean up for them. People beware!!! This company has no pride in their workmanship, and will treat your property with utter distain and disrespect. They have no common decency with how they treat your assets and premises. 9-11-24 Amanda, in reply to your last comment. If your workers are not willing to clean up after each day of work, perhaps you should remove the sentence "Contractor will clean up thoroughly each day and in full completion" from your quotes. Regarding the extra fees you are threatening to bill me after the work has been completed and paid for: 1) $50 for removing and installing the blinds was included in the quote price (see attached). 2) $350 to scrub and clean the interior before painting. Is that not implied and assumed before any painting is started. As stated in the quote "Thoroughly prepare and paint interior of home". You saw the condition of the interior when you came to quote the job. Never did you mention an extra fee for this service, nor did you state it in the quote. 3) $200 to remove the baseboards? We never had that discussion and that cost is not listed in the quote. In fact, Nathan told me he would remove them and never mentioned any additional fees for this service. People beware!!! This company has no integrity in their business dealings. Nor do they exhibit good character. A proper reponse to the initial poor rating should have been " We're sorry you had such a poor experience with our services. We will learn from this, and try and do better in the future". read more

We did a lot of research when we were looking for a painting company, and I'm very happy with our choice. Amanda was great at coming out and estimating and giving us a great deal, and her husband Nate is a very good painter and very detailed oriented. He paints each house like it's his own, and especially with the black-and-white contrasting colors. I know it's wasn't an easy job. But it's beautiful and I get lots of compliments from, my friends and family to strangers in the neighborhood. I would rate this painting business as 4.5. Brian T I interviewed over 10 home painting companies and they all gave me the same talk, the what and how the house painting would proceed through from start through completion (power wash/cleaning, scraping, masking, priming, and painting). They would also follow through with a contractual quote with a wide range In pricing. I also followed up by checking their reviews on Google and Yelp. Colorblast was the only company that provided me a total detailed description of their process from womb to tomb (ie fully detailing their 2 coats of prime and paint and why it was necessary), very professional. Their pricing (Amanda) was very fair for my size home and the days needed for painting was acceptable (the days Jose and Anna were here they worked their buns off). I gave a 4.5 rating because I thought they could have done better cleaning up; BUT I was on a tight time frame and they accommodated my schedule, their quality of work is great. This husband and wife company was the absolute worst company I've EVER delt with! From the get go when they got here, the owner NATHAN had a horrible attitude cause he thought the house would be completely empty. Well, his nasty wife AMANDA got it wrong! She gave us a guaranteed price for the entire interior and signed the contract. (She was the one who came and did the quote) then he made us pay 400 more! Don't forget his unprofessional attitude. I should have looked at these horrible reviews before choosing the lowest price out of 3 companies. They took 2 wks to paint and my house is only 1400 sqft. He would always go out to smoke on his weed pipe. He said he would not paint the inside of my closets different than white. It was just as easy to do as white. He's very controlling! The celing, the OWNER NATHAN SPRAY painted was horrible. Spots of yellow everywhere! The other worker agreed and offered to repaint the correct way with a ROLLER. Once again, the OWNER NATHAN, left LEAKING paint buckets on my hardwood floor and you'll see in my photos what Happened. No sry or mentioning of it. I talked to another worker about it. The rsn I didn't make him replace my floor was because the floors were not great in the first place. I heard him on my camera blaming my dogs lol the doors were always SHUT so my animal would not go In and ruin freshly painted walls. I also have pics of a fair amt of paint splatter on my leather couch and floors. There was paint on all hinges. Some walls were not double coated and you can tell! Thst was by his worker Jose! Jose fills all nail holes and gaps with paint, which is a very slow process! Caulk baby caulk!! Set an appointment for 11AM on February 27th. Received a call from Amanda at 8:30AM, wanting to come earlier -which we accommodated. Arrived 20 minutes before rescheduled time. Did the walk through. We provided architect drawings of the entire 2800 sq ft home in Berkeley. Today, April 21st no estimate, no follow-up, no response to texts or voicemails. It's Okay to decline a job if it's too big, but it's unprofessional to *not* be responsive. read more

This is my worst contractor experience. A lot of sloppy work and painted surfaces that should not have been. The clean up after the job was done poorly. Vance forgot to remove the taping around the lit house number sign and there were balls of tape and clumps of painted dirt & sand around the house. Vance tried to pass it off as the day laborers fault, but that is a weak excuse. I had a list of over twenty items that needed attention including paint stains below the front door and up the walkway. Vance was good about coming back to take care of these items, but Vance rushed through this work too. The next morning in the daylight before I went to work, I made time to look around. Instead of removing the drop of white paint outside our back screen door Vance just painted over it! I don't know how he could put the paint cans down beside such an embarrassing effort. Another attached image isn't a flagrant foul but I had hoped for attention to detail like the head cover above the back sliding door getting a (conditioning) coat of paint. It took him a second trip to remove the oil stain in my driveway, something that Vance only agreed to after I spoke to the business owners. I feel for Vance's car troubles, but it's not acceptable that I had to discover the stain myself and that I had to follow up to get it taken care of. The main body of work is OK, but I wasn't anticipating the hassles. I just received a nasty voice mail from Nathan about my ill wife letting Vance know that she is sick at home and that the baby would be going down for a nap and she wouldn't be answering the door again. Later when I spoke to Nathan on the phone it was better. I really wished the owner Nathan had come to the work site. Amanda has been very helpful. Update: as one can't respond to the business's comment on a review, I think it's worth noting that Nathan is publicly reasonable, but paints a picture different than reality. When we were in the situation Amanda said Nathan would come out, but that didn't happen. Vance came again. Nathan also continued to send me emails asking for referrals after I asked him not to contact me again at the end of 2015 in response to his email with phrases like "If all the pics that were on YELP are taken care of then was it really necessary to BASH OUR COMPANY ON LINE?? Colorblast painted the exterior of my two story house which involved three colors. This process takes tons of prep work from power washing, fixing stucco cracks, sealing around windows and doors, masking and re-masking between colors to final reveal and cleanup. This entire project took just about one week weather permitting and it turned out amazing, love it. Mario and his crew arrived on time. They then brought dirty dusty sheets to cover the furniture and carpets. Then they proceeded with the paint without any preparation, any holes or damage was simply painted over and the staircase was not sanded before painting. Only after I pointed out where there were holes did they fill the holes and retouched the paint. Even now after completion, I am noticing places where no paint has been applied, and the paint formed into blobs in some places. Nathan and his team at Colorblast painted our home this month (May 2016). The project took a bit over a week (mostly due to weather). One of the things I truly appreciated about Colorblast is that they were always communicating with me to ensure I knew the status of the work. Our home had not been painted in around 10 years and the house needed quite a bit of work, including replacing dry rot. Nathan and his team were great - not only did they paint the exterior of the house, but also replaced the dry rot in our exterior stairs and added siding where it was missing on one side of the house. ColorBlast painting finished painting the exterior of my home today and I can say that this is the absolute best experience I have ever had with a contractor. We had multiple contractors come out to my place and ColorBlast was not only the best price, but they gave us the best "vibe". We liked the fact that this was a husband and wife team and that they treated both of us (husband and wife) as partners rather than what we would see with some other contractors where they only speak to the man of the house. They understood that this was a large investment and that we would be deciding on the contractor together. After we got the quote, we decided to take out time to make sure we had the right folks for the job and to also take our time picking colors. We got a couple of helpful suggestions from Nathan and Amanda but ultimately went with our own color scheme. We also went back and forth with Nathan and Amanda a couple of time to add additional services (such as powerwashing for our concrete work) and wanted to make sure that all of what we wanted was in the quote (we have a couple of small sheds and some metal gates that needed painting). After we were absolutely sure that we were on the same page for the work and the cost, we made the deposit and scheduled our first day. Nathan and his team showed up exactly when they promised they would and began the job by doing an excellent job cleaning and prepping all throughout the property. They scrubbed and powerwashed and taped and prepped and masked and covered everything. They carefully moved a few things things that we forgot to get to in their "before we arrive" instructions but they took good care of everything. On the first day, we already had a good feeling about them and felt like they were taking care of our property in the same way they would have done if it was their own place. For example, a lot of places will just come through and try to spray the paint and try to turn over a job as quickly as possible. Those other folks will spray and backfill. Nathan was much better. His team hand rolled all the paint and used brushes to make nice clean lines. They did multiple coats of paint and were able to fix a lot of flaws that had crept into our exterior after many years of exposure. Throughout the rest of the job, they showed up on time every morning and worked diligently all day. They were here every day and always treated us like we were a customer. I got the chance to meet Nathan's workers and also felt like Nathan had good people working for him and they were always friendly and respectful. Even on the rare times that Nathan had to leave the job site and leave his crew behind, they worked hard and also were very careful in their work to keep things tidy and cared for. Due to the heat, Nathan communicated well and said that they wouldn't be able to stay until the hottest part of the day because it would be bad for the paint. He asked if they could come earlier in the day so they could get more done. I appreciated the heads up and consideration on this before he made the change. After the bulk of the painting was done and they moved on to touch up, I got to see firsthand what sets ColorBlast apart from other companies that I have worked with in the past. They were absolutely meticulous. They must have gone over every inch of our place looking for any flaw and spent at least a good, solid day just doing minor touchups. They absolutely earned my respect for having this much pride in their work and attention to detail. After all of the touchups were done, Nathan and his crew went around the whole property one last time cleaning and picking up. They put everything back exactly how we left it including hooking up the hoses that we had forgotten to unhook on the first day! I've worked with many contractors that do good work, but I have never had one that took every single scrap of trash with them when they left. It was amazing. Finally, when we did the end of job walkthrough, I had absolutely no feedback to give him except "excellent work". They took care of EVERYTHING I hoped they would do and did it much better than I expected. I didn't see any problems, flaws, or anything that needed fixed. And what's best is that there were no games on the price. We wrote a check for exactly what was agreed on. There were no games about how the work took more effort than they thought or that they used more paint than they estimated... the price they quoted was exactly what we paid. Nathan, Amanda, and the rest of the ColorBlast painting team were awesome. I have already begun recommending them to my friends. The neighbors have already started calling them. I have another, smaller project that I am eager to start with them in November. ColorBlast is the absolute, hands-down, best experience I have ever had in working with a contractor. I scheduled an appointment to have a quote done and it was moved to another day without talking to me. The day of the rescheduled appointment there was no indication or heads up that they would be late. When the guy arrived he bailed after I explained to him that appointments and timing are important to keep. Very unprofessional in my opinion and I urge people to look elsewhere. Edited to respond to his response: "Hey Michael I have proof of when we scheduled an estimate in an email I also confirmed it with you yesterday and you responded also our appointment was between 12 and 1230" The appointment was for Friday and you changed it to Saturday and did not bother to call. "he arrived exactly on time even though you thought our appointment was at 1 PM I will screenshot the email and put it to the review. " He did not arrive on time. The appointment was at noon. I never thought the appointment was at 1PM so I do not know what you are talking about. Colorblast painted my home 3 years ago. There were a few areas where paint was pealing off but the paint job was still under warranty. I contacted Color Blast and they were very responsive and took care of the repair with 3 weeks. Fabian was sent out to make the repairs. He was extremely polite, wanted to do the repairs right, and kept me informed of what he was going to do. The results look so much better now. - I DO NOT recommend Colorblast Painting. I genuinely LIKED Nathan and Amanda from Colorblast Painting. They seemed like nice folks. They also did a small fence staining job for us in 2013 and did a good job. However, their business practices leave a lot to be desired. 1) Their recent quoted price was VERY HIGH given the scope of the work I needed done. The word most often used was "unbelievable" when I told other contractors what they were going to charge me. 2) Since cancelling that work with them, they have advised me that they are going to keep my substantial $475 deposit without doing any work at all. 3) IMPORTANT NOTE: ** They never started the work or purchased paint or supplies. They just came for (2) estimates.** 4) Today, they have sent me 10 emails in (3) hours, all of them increasingly hostile and emotional. This alone makes them completely unprofessional. The Details: In 2013: Nathan from Colorblast Painting provided us with a quote to paint the exterior of our home for $4750. I thought this reasonable and gave him a $475 deposit. Then, I became very ill, was hospitalized, and the work was never completed. Our contract expired after (1) year, in 2014. In 2016: Nathan came out again, and the original quote of $4750 for the exterior stood. They also gave us a quote to paint our kitchen, dining room, living room and (2) hallways for $5000. NOTE: All walls were freshly textured, sanded and prepped for paint. Yikes! $5k to paint (3.5) rooms / approximately 500 square feet of interior space is crazy! They insisted it was the best they could do and weren't willing to negotiate. - After receiving additional quotes, I decided to go with another company to do both jobs, for consistency's sake. (I chose is a professional company with stellar reviews. They are doing the interior job for $2.5k and the exterior job for $4500.) Today, I sent Nathan and Amanda an email notifying them of my choice to go with another company. I also offered to give them $100 for their trouble for coming out twice to give estimates. - They stated that because 3 days had passed since I signed the agreement with them, they would be keeping my entire $475 deposit. - I have just filed a complaint with the BBB. read more

Nathan just finished painting my house and deck today. He did a fantastic job! He is a true professional. He saw things I did not before we did our final walk through. Everything was perfect! Nathan was the only contractor that would even tackle repairing my trex deck.Nathan's crew, Fabian and Jose worked hard and were very knowledgeable. They were on time each morning and worked steadily throughout the day. They were very clean, too. There were issues with dry rot on the facia boards. Nathan is extremely talented as a carpenter and roofer as well and knew exactly how to fix the problems. I was so relieved. I had a very difficult time selecting the color as the last time I painted my house I wasn't really happy with the color. Nathan had me work with the Sherwin Williams rep to make sure I had made the right color selection and I LOVE THE COLOR!!!! Just so grateful..if you want it done right, call Nathan. Due to unexpected circumstances, we had to move and move fast. Our realtor told us we had to get touchups on a number of walls in our house. Colorblast came through in a pinch. Amanda was the first to reply and schedule an estimate, first to actually give us an estimate, ended up giving us the best rate, and even fit us in our tight window of time to get the job done. The Better Business Bureau has given up on mediation, so has the State Contractors Licencing Board. Mediation having failed, the Licencing Board is starting the investigation process. Will update when the status changes. 1/18/2016 update: The State Licencing Board and Colorblast's bond company asked me to find a licenced contractor who could provide an estimate on correcting the paint job. They just left. They confirmed that Colorblast did not put on the contracted second finish coat, pointed out where the wood trim was not properly sanded before painting, where the paint is already blistering, where it was improperly applied on the wood trim, and other areas of generally bad work. Now I have to wait for the quote to correct the problems and redo the trim. So much time wasted on this, but I refuse to let them rip me off. Avoid Colorblast like the plague! 11/21... was cleaning some of the gutters today and discovers that he did not paint the chimney properly. Only painted areas visible form the ground. Top is not painted, they only painted the areas visible from the ground. They seem to try and get away with anything they can. Original Review Begins Here: It was like they hired high school freshmen to come slap paint around. Some areas of the job were not properly prepped. Some things were not masked before painting (door bell, a door nob, hose bibs) The work was so bad we had to withhold final payment until the owner came out to correct a plethora of errors. Among other egregious things, they broke our back door and left our home unsecured on three days, and in the end I had to repair it myself as they could not after several tries. His crew left our yard an absolute mess and when I complained to him about how serious this was (their lunch remains drew animals that strew garbage across our yard) he took an attitude of it not being a big problem. They did clean it up the next day, but something so basic as "keep the job site safe and clean" should *never* be a problem in the first place. Highly unprofessional. Areas of the trim were unpainted or painted the wrong colors. Decorative or functional items removed from the house were abandoned in the yard. They hit a motion sensor light fixture with a ladder and broke it, and the owner claimed he was doing me a favor replacing it, that it really wasn't his responsibility. After all that and more he sent us threats of putting a lien against our home and an E-mail that was so threatening in nature we reported him to the police for it, all because we we asked for an itemized invoice of a $750 dry rot repair we had not authorized and wanted to know why the 15 sq ft. of short siding boards cost so much to replace. He gives attitude and blames others, including the home owner, when something goes wrong and then accuses you, his victim, of trying to cheat him. He doesn't seem to know, and certainly doesn't follow, the terms of the contract he provides. I can supply a link to pictures of how his crew left our house and its current state after Mr. Martinez came out to correct most of their errors if people are interested. I believe him to be dishonest as he has lied to us on several occasions and we feel we can no-longer trust anything he says. Currently we are in dispute and trying to resolve the remaining issues of of seeking a refund of the extra money we paid for a warranty we can never use, and asking his bond company to physically verify that all three coats of paint were put on the house as the contract calls for (1 primer and 2 finish coats, both he and his crew at times have said it was not and he has also said it was). Nathan and his helper John, did a great job painting our place. They showed up exactly on time, prepped and painted our dining room, living room, hallways and bathroom, quickly and efficiently. Our walls look fresh and clean, which means we are taking longer than anticapated to replace any/all art work to them. As a bonus, they were packed up and gone two hours earlier than estimated! I selected Color Blast Painting to paint the interior of the house I purchased this month. I actually selected them because their office in only one block from my house, and I felt they would be motivated to do a good job in that regard. The owner, Nathan Martinez, does the estimating himself. He sets realistic expectation about what to expect, and he picked up on the fact that our house had some oil base paint. This required a special primer, which was critical to getting the paint job correct. we also had 4 different wall colors! They offered a fair price, and showed up exactly on time the first day of work. this was a plus. They subsequently arrived every day when scheduled, and communicated pretty well throughout the project. After our hardwood floors were refinished, they came back on the last day and attended to all the details, finishing strong. I'm fairly picky, and wouldn't call the work "perfect", but when I step back and take an overall look, it's pretty darn good. I will be having the same company paint the exterior of the house soon. read more

I got bids from Armstrong, Rayco, MB Jesse and Certa Pro painters. Nathan wasnt the cheapest and he wasnt the most expensive. I spent a great deal of time interviewing him and he was able to answer all my questions and explained the process of painting my house and made me feel at ease. He told me he would not be refinishing the house but that he would sand and prepare the really bad areas, especially in the front and sides where the house was most visible. I chose him because he was lead certified and assured me he would maintain a meticulous job site, use Benjamin Moore Aura paint, and he had experience with my type of project. The house came out looking beautiful. There were a few issues, but Nathan has done his best to try and get everything resolved and I appreciate what he has done. I believe he cares a lot about what he does and that he is also a hard worker and a talented painter. read more

I hired this company because others didn't return my call. Nathan returned my call same day I left message. They are on time, three people in the crew, 4 rooms , 8 colors. They are done in three days. I ask for a new color due to my change of mind, called Nathan, and he is on it and worked it out without delay the timeline we set. I like their fast, accurate delivery of work. I don't know what else I want from painting sercice。 I give five star. read more

Nathan and the Color Blast crew are great! We hired them to paint the exterior of our house. After getting several bids, Nathan's bid was not just the lowest bid, but included the most work. Our paint was in REALLY bad shape and was peeling almost everywhere. Color Blast scraped and "feather sanded" the house by hand. They did a wonderful job of smoothing out the rough, peeled areas and the final paint job was better than we had dreamed. In addition, we had some rotted lattice columns in the front of our house and one was completely rotted. I hadn't been able to find a matching replacement, so Nathan constructed a new lattice column (by hand) to match the to match the the non rotted section (ti looks great). Also, they washed and stained our back deck and replaced all the rotten boards that needed to be replaced. Now the house and the deck look fantastic (and the deck steps are finally safe). I highly recommend Color Blast. We recently built an detached addition and had them come and paint that as well. Again, great price and great work! read more

Color Blast Painting is a fantastic painting company that I would hire again without considering anyone else. They painted the entire interior of my home, including the closets and the pantry, and did an outstanding job. They were responsive to my ideas, enthusiastic about the work, punctual, reasonably priced and stayed with it all day everyday until it was done exactly right. The house is completely transformed. I chose 12 different colors and am particular about the quality of work that goes into my home. Nathan Martinez, the owner, is a very personable and experienced painter with high ethical standards. He and his crew are a pleasure to interact with. I interviewed several paint companies before I chose Color Blast, and I am very satisfied with the end result. They were contracted to paint my condominium complex. Instead of setting a date for the painting to occur on my screened patio S I was willing to take the day off work to allow them access. They ripped the screening that had been professionally installed and threw it on the side of my patio; basically breaking and entering or trespassing at the least vandalism for destroying the enclosure. They over sprayed paint in the plants throughout the complex and left their ladders, drop clothes, etc where they were each evening blocking pathways and walkways to buildings. ColorBlast Painting recently completed painting the exterior of our house in Fremont. My wife and I were impressed with Juan (jobsite foreman) and Hilberto (fellow worker). When questions came up about painting details that were not explicitly laid out in the contract, they erred on the side of "customer". Juan was very accommodating to our daily schedule as well. The overall job done has a very polished look and to our satisfaction. Note: Even though they lay tarps over the immediate foliage, over spray did manage to get on greenary 10' away, so cover that yourself or ask them to address. read more

Really sloppy work, I would never use them again for my business. They did not complete on time as contracted, did not use any drop cloths or cover cloths, spilled paint on carpet and stairway . Lack of management followup with the on site workers. The photos they use are mis-leading and don't seem to select the quality of work we actually received. read more
