Jorge painted the doors...horribly, see pictures. We complained to Ray that Jorge left the doors in a horrible finish. Ray apologized and said he could have Jorge come back and fix them, I said no, if this is how he left them I don't want Jorge "fixing" them. His other solution was his other painter coming back from Mexico mid February. Well we still haven't heard from Ray about fixing the doors. He has completely taken our money and ghosted us now, not returning voicemails or texts from my husband and I. I feel very taken advantage of. Also we finally found the name of this company matching his name and phone number bc he told us the name of his company was J R painting, which I couldn't find on the internet anywhere. Well here is your one star review Ray. I'd give you ZERO stars if I could. Do not use him as your painting company!

When I asked Jonathan a favor to paint a small area and removed the security camera cable because I don't have a ladder to reach high, he gladly offered to help me. We bought a new house that needed the interior painted. We were given a quote of $6,200. 10% had to…read morebe paid immediately, with $2,000 due on the first day of work and the rest to be paid upon completion. We paid the $2,620 and were told that the job was expected to last a week. We noticed there was a lack of planning immediately. The job was started without having all the necessary materials on hand. But even with that, the progress the first couple of days was pretty decent. Then the painter who started the job (Eric) needed to leave for another job. Nobody showed up for 4 days. We called Emmanuel (another painter and the gentleman who gave us the quote) to express our concerns with lack of progress. We came up with a plan of which rooms should be completed first. He told us that he was confident he could get the job done by 8/4/21. (4 days later than planned) To help Emmanuel out, my husband and I removed all the outlet and switch covers in the house and removed all the interior doors and door knobs. Additionally, the previous owners had superglued small ornamental mirrors to one of the bedroom walls that could only be removed by breaking them off the wall. Emmanuel had previously stated he would remove the mirrors as part of the job scope, but we wanted to help him out with the timeline. When somebody finally did come out to the house he only showed up for 2 days and did absolutely no painting. He was "prepping the area" but 90% of the prep had already been done by Eric. Two days seemed a little excessive. After that, yet another painter came in and made a mess of the job. He painted the closet rods in one of the master bedrooms instead of leaving them natural wood, he also painted the very nice mounted tie rack in the other master closet. He didn't even try to mask it off. On the same day this happened Emmanuel asked for an additional deposit of $1000, then said he could get by with $500 to get additional supplies and pay his workers. We did not immediately pay the additional request because it wasn't what was agreed upon and we weren't happy with the service we had received. Also, the money we had already paid should have been more than enough for supplies. We had a conversation with Emmanuel letting him know we were considering cutting out losses and finishing the job ourselves. Emmanuel made a bunch of excuses about why the job was in such a bad state. Among them were: - His daughter was starting law school so he couldn't be on site over the weekend. (Understandable, but why didn't he have someone else come out?) - He overbooked and lost one of his painters so he was behind schedule. (Poor planning.) - The first painter was a journeyman and the others were apprentices. (Why weren't the apprentices being supervised?) Emmanuel reached out to me to ask me to reconsider letting him go. He said he had gotten in contact with the Eric and he had agreed to come back. I wasn't sold but my husband told me to give him another chance because he promised to supervise anyone he brought in (with the exception of Eric -- which was fine with us). The following day Emmanuel was true to his word and was on site. So we paid the additional $500 deposit he requested. The day after that (today) Eric came back. Emmanuel also said he would be by this evening. Even with the great work Eric did today, I do not see this job being finished by Saturday. There are multiple rooms that were started and left in varying degrees of completion due to lack of materials. I reached out to Emmanuel to see if he still planned to come by this evening and he said he was exhausted so wouldn't be able to make it. I am beyond frustrated. I just want to be able to move into my new house and get out of my RV. This has been a terrible experience overall.

The value of his service far exceeded the cost of the project. His crew spent the better part of three days prepping; they were very detail oriented and took ownership of the project. In the painting industry, the quality of the paint job comes down to how well the surface is prepped. The end product was superb. Once the painting was completed, Miguel scheduled a walk thru the next day to make sure everything was up to par. Only after was I completely satisfied did Miguel accept my payment. Miguel is my go to paint contractor.

Our maple kitchen cabinets were 20 years old with the lower cabinet doors and drawers water damaged…read moreand darkened by sun and use. You could see a distinct "tan" line on the cabinet frames showing the original maple color protected by the door or drawer front and the darker shade of the unprotected surfaces. We got several estimates with Miguel's being the most reasonable. To help with our decision, he offered to refinish a door for no cost to let us see the results. He took the most water damaged door in the kitchen to his shop and two days later returned it looking like a brand-new door, the cracks, water damage and darkening gone with the original maple color completely restored. We scheduled the job and Miguel arrived as promised. All the doors were numbered and removed, and two other team members stayed the rest of the day to refinish the cabinet frames. They were careful to prep the kitchen with tape, protected the floors with heavy paper, and even used plastic sheeting to block off the kitchen from the rest of the house to contain any dust. At the end of the day, the frames were sanded and refinished, the original maple color restored. They cleaned up and left without us needing to do any cleaning. Two days later, Miguel and team returned to install the restored doors. The doors looked like new and were reinstalled with a lot of attention to ensuring they were aligned with the frames. The maple colors on the doors and frames matched perfectly. Could not have been happier with Miguel and this team's skill, communication, and professionalism.
