Not only did it not work well, but I am seriously surprised the neighbors did not report us for a noise ordinance. (Sounded like a freight train running through the back yard.) At the time, as an energy source, we had an old Zinsco electrical panel, which, because of available amperage, would not enable us to use some of the newer, fancier systems. Mike the Pool Shark was able to find and expertly install the appropriate system. In addition, Mike has regularly serviced/cleaned our filter. The photo shows our entire system. What the photo does NOT show, however, is; ~ On several occasions, Mike has made recommendations to us that have actually PREVENTED HIM FROM MAKING MONEY ... Meaning, he has talked us OUT of systems that could cost $thousands, resulting in, most likely, a decent payout for him. Instead, on SEVERAL occasions, Mike has instructed us to go with a low-cost fix - just because it would be better for US (and our bank account) in the long run. ~ He'll give you advice as though you're his brother or sister, and he's looking out for your best interests. ~ Mike, every time he has been here, has given me incredibly helpful suggestions as to how to better maintain our pool. ~ Mike has NEVER tried to sell us anything unnecessary - or use scare tactics into selling us weird products. ~ EVERY time he's been here, he has arrived EXACTLY on time. (He will even text first to tell me he's on his way. This is great for me, as I have two dogs.) ~ Mike is quite possibly one of the nicest humans I've met since we moved to Concord ... Note, he is a perfectionist but in a good way. I wanted to install a pool heater so I can use my pool year round. He immediately told me he wouldn't take the job if he couldn't do it right and fix the configuration of the plumbing which was causing suction issues. He even painted my old plumbing so it would look integrated with the new plumbing. His quote was more than reasonable and very fair given the scope of work. He even came by 2 more times as I had issues with my pool automation and he made some final adjustments and now everything works perfectly. Now I can use my pool all year round! Sparkle came recommended by the previous owner when we bought our home in April 2022. And Sparkle has serviced our pool since then. The guys who do the weekly maintenance keep the pool perfect. They have a high standard and are quite personable. When our sweeper pump failed, John guided us through the warrantee process so we could get a free replacement via the extended warrantee on our system rather than the one on the pump (which had expired.) This saved us over $900. Further, because it was under warrantee, another pool service company that services that vendor got the replacement installation reimbursement from the vendor, not Sparkle. So all good for us, and nothing but a satisfied customer for Sparkle. Sparkle also helped us get automatic cover problems resolved, first by trouble shooting the cover themselves and then guiding us how to work with the pool cover vendor. We did contract with Sparkle to replace our Deck-o-seal when it weathered. They did an excellent job. Bottomline, if you want a high-quality, reliable pool service company that can do the everyday upkeep well and resolve the bigger problems quickly and cost effectively, hire Sparkle Pool and Spa Service. Aquapro falsely reported that…read moreI needed "modifications" to install the new filter so that they could charge me out of pocket charges of $500. I had two other contractors give me quotes and state that no modifications are needed. Jason at Aquapro admitted that this is how they make money on customers that the home warranty sends them. They add vague "modifications" that aren't covered to the work-order when nothing actually needs to be modified so they can charge out of pocket charges. I told my home warranty and provided proof from the other quotes I received. Both Aquapro and First American Home Warranty are cheating their customers.
