Getting ready today to bring my F150 in for a service but it won't be this dealership. last time I went is was far a simple oil change. I was told after handing off my keys I had to wait to talk to one of the service people. after almost an hour of waiting I asked why I had to wait and was told I hadn't been waiting that long and they would get to me when they get to me. I asked for my keys back and I was called rude and was called out for not saying thank you when my keys were handed back. later we called the service manager to complain and was told it was all due to COVID related issues. Very poor service. read more

Colonial Ford Service has exceeded all my expectations. I went to this service center because my car had some serious problems. Some were due to poor workmanship at another service center. They lost my confidence in their ability to fix my car. I called Colonial and Frank immediately took my car into his care and told me not to worry, they would get to the bottom of the problems. Their CFO, Landon, interceded as well, and spent time understanding the issues I was having with my car. I left there with a huge burden lifted because I had complete confidence in their professionalism and honesty. Within two days, their excellent mechanics and organization fixed my car beautifully; she runs like a dream. Their fees were reasonable and one major problem was covered by warranty. I am so grateful to these professionals and will always bring my car to them and buy cars from them. read more

The single worst experience I have ever had at a vehicle repair facility. Brought my SUV in for a simple recall. This after having previously scheduled, only to be called the night before to hear the "necessary parts were out of stock" but, fear not, someone from Colonial would call to reschedule. Time goes by, I forget but I hear nothing. A year later, I received a 2nd notice from Ford (thanks FMC) and called to schedule with Colonial. My appointment is 9 am. Nobody to take my car. He shows up, I check in and wait. 2 hours 45 minutes later I go to ask what's going on? "Oh, it doesn't seem you weren't actually checked in. Let's fix that...do you have another 90 minutes to wait?" Needless to say, my recall was not fixed. I suggest to the entire world that they should purchase a vehicle or service a vehicle anywhere else other than Colonial Ford from Danbury CT. read more

Took my ford e cape for a repair when I called for a appointment was asked if I brought my car there witch I did but the services sucks and when I took my car in was the first person in line to check my car in they went to a person that was last in line and when I said something that I will never do business with them again they would not tell me where they parked my car and won't let me on there properties well read more

So far, so good. I have read every other review prior to today, 10/8/15 and I disagree with everyone...so far. From the inital scheduling and rescheduling (on my part, several times,) Colonial Ford reps have been friendly, helpful and expeditious with all my needs, wishes and Im sure annoying call backs. Front rotors, pads and a "the works" oil change, tire rotation, a look see, and fluid top off completed my service which was 200$ less expensive than a "local guy" I had quote me. It's been almost a day but the brakes feel great and my system reads 100% oil so I know that happened too. If anything fudges up be sure an update will follow. If not, I am satisfied and the other reviews do not reflect my experience. read more

Colonial Ford - They needed a pic. - Auto Parts & Supplies Near Me - Danbury, Connecticut

Wow, how things have changed at Colonial Ford Service of Danbury. On Monday Nov. 27 we dropped off our car for a winter tire changeover. When we picked up the car, on our billing statement it read that we should watch one of the tires tire pressure as it could read low. But the next statement said no leak. The following morning the tire was flat. we filled it hoping it was just a fluke, but the next morning it was flat again. We called the dealership and we were told that the tire is cracked and not good. So why didn't they tell us that at the time as we could have kept our original tires on there? We called this morning Friday of the same week and asked could they please reinstall the original tires and give us a discount since we felt they should not have installed tires that they felt were not good. They offered us 10% off. Seriously something is wrong here. We weren't asking for free, but 10% is an insult considering they should not have installed what they are calling bad tires. Stay away from this dealership as your safety and satisfaction are not that important to them. read more

How can you take a car in for service, give no estimate to when it will be worked on or completed, keep overnight, and not even call. Come on Colonial Ford Service don't be like a lame guy after a nice date! Make the damn call. We are down a car! Don't you realize people rely on their wheels. Why not be upfront right from the start? We're not getting to your car today. You had better get a rental. Now that we know this is how you are we can haul ass back to Fairfield for the next Ford. It's gonna be a big, expensive truck. Oh, well. Bummer that service loses sales for the dealership. read more

Rip-off artists, unskilled but as slyly intentioned as they come. They quoted me over $100 to switch out my fog light bulbs because they said my car required "taking the front end off" to access them so the labor would be a lot. I ended up looking up the part number online and I put them in myself without any instructions just by reaching behing the bumper and feeling out how the bulb was secured into the rest of the assembly. I ended up spending like $10 at autozone. Another time I had my fuel injectors cleaned and when I got the bill they tacked on $25 for a "battery cleaning" which I neither inquired about nor authorized. It just appeared on the bill when it came time to pay. Never again. Never. read more

Didn't fix what they said they would. My vehicle does the same thing it did when I put it in the shop. Don't waste your time and money here.

If there was a score less than 1 star we'd pick it. We were a good customer for several years and will no longer go to Colonial for service or purchase. We notified the GM brakes were installed on our explorer and 5 days later came OFF on the Hutch while going full speed in am traffic. No joke. No brakes at 70 MPH and had to find a safe place to coast to a stop without hitting others. Absolute miracle we didn't kill someone or ourselves. Ford dealer on Central Avenue saved us and could not believe what they found. They were so concerned they themselves took photos. Contacted the GM who initially said he would make this right, pay for our rental, the original brake job and new one. Sent us a check for the rental and new service but never made good on the brakes they installed that fell off. They will be hearing from our attorney. It doesn't pay to be nice and work through issues any longer. No one cares. read more

The service department here is completely incompetent. I took my car in for a jerking motion and they kept it for two weeks, never fixed it and insisted they could not reproduce the problem. The car "reproduced" the action as soon as I got in it to drive home. They said they found nothing on the computer tests but obviously there's a problem. My guess: they don't want to fix under warranty which expires soon. But they charged me for the inconvenience and labor for the "diagnoses" I'm so mad I could scream. I guess I'll have to go find a mechanic that can think for him/herself rather that relying on the computer. read more

I use to love coming here for service on my Explorer. However, I guess service is dependent on the service advisor. This service advisor was disingenuous, indifferent, and not helpful. He seems to just be going thru the motions of his job. He seems like a very unhappy individual...spread your misery elsewhere buddy.... read more

Service dept. is extremely slow and they don't keep their word. I brought my car at 8 AM, the fella at the desk gave me a quote of 2-2.5 hours for tire change and a recall job. I came back at 11, my car was still standing where I parked it and the same fella gave me 1 PM estimate. Now it's 3:30 PM and the car is still not done. I have wasted whole day off work, if I knew it I would take a loaner & came back at 5 PM. I won't come back here anymore for any service. read more

Very unsatisfied with my service. Takes extremely long and not true to their word. Found out during an appointment that I needed to replace the coolant cap (which was unavailable onsite and needed to be reordered). I scheduled an appt for the following week and confirmed the appt and service to be done the night before. The day of the appt they called to let me know they did not have the coolant cap and it would be in by tomorrow. Unacceptable. read more

Please update your waiting area, sweep the floors, make it less cave like in the back room! It is really really low quality - arms of the sofas are collapsed - spent 50k on a Ford vehicle - I also own a BMW. The quality of the waiting area for service is night and day between Ridgefield BMW and Colonial - I may not buy another Ford just so I don't have to go back to their nasty waiting room. They are covering a glass door with ripped cardboard - I mean come on... low class... gross - spend a couple of bucks to make people comfortable. However, Anthony is very nice and helpful. So they have that going for them! read more

Welcome to Caveat Emptor Ford of Danbury, how may we risk you? Brought my vehicle in for some warranty work on the rear lift gate and gas port that was overflowing. They did a good job on both, I must say. When we paid and left, we didn't get very far, thankfully. See there were no lug nuts on my driver rear tire, so the tire fell off, and the rotor was on the ground as I was turning off of Federal Rd. to get on I-84. They sent a tow truck, gave us a loaner, and apologized. So credit where it's due. I asked why the driver side tire was even taken off (the fuel door is on the pass. side) & got no answer. When they called me back the next business day (closed Sunday) to apologize and investigate (lol), I still got no acceptable response other than lug nuts are expensive. So someone stole all 6 of my lug nuts, but left my rim and new tire? How could you miss lug nuts rolling around your bay? Did my bumper sticker trigger you, Phil? I requested that maybe Phil (the tech on my paperwork) not work on it again this time. If I had gotten on I-84 with that tire, I could have gotten killed. In front of my wife following behind, no less. I made this very clear when I spoke to them that day, and the next. When we picked the car up, I had my wife go in because I didn't trust myself to run into a guy with a name tag on his shirt with Phil on it. Take a wild guess who repaired our car? That's right, the same Phil (last name withheld, and why do they give that info out in the first place???). I'm sure he's still there today. So now I have to waste time and more money to check my vehicle out again to have it Phil proved, sort of say. Such a reckless "caveat emptor" mentality from a Ford dealership is truly shocking and disappointing. Apparently "safety is job none" here at Colonial Ford Danbury. Last Ford vehicle I'll buy for our personal needs, or our fleet. read more

If I could give them less than 0 stars I would! Unethical is the nicest thing I can say. To begin with, we arrived for our 8 am appointment and no one greeted us, not 1 person said good morning or how can I help you. Eventually we went to someone who rudely told us to leave our car with the valet outside. We dropped our car off to have factory airbags replaced on a recall. Dropped our car off with a full tank of gas & picked it up with 1/2 a tank and 75 additional miles added. Despite several calls during the day no one called us back & kept the car overnight. I have no idea how this place stays in business. read more

Being a business owner operating both fords and Chevy trucks for my landscape company I need reliable trucks. Yesterday my brand new 2014 ford 550 I paid 85,000 for started leaking diesel fluid from on top of the engine. I did my best to diagnose the problem but figured I'd take it to colonial ford to get fixed. Upon arrival I asked them to take a quick look at I asked for 5 mins. They said we can't do that we can't even look at it until next week sometime. They where rude and very not understanding of my situation. I need the truck to service accounts and run the business. I'm sorry but I find that unacceptable. There is no way I would have treated a client in a jam like that. I'll never go back to ford in Danbury to buy a new truck. No one should buy a vehicle from this dealership. I'll be spreading the word that they couldn't even be bothered to give me advice or look at it. They couldn't be that busy I am sorry no one is that busy. I have had similar issues happen to my gmc for example the transmission went during a snow storm and we had another storm coming a day later. I took the truck to ingersoll Chevy in Danbury and they had a transmission next day air shipped from Canada and installed in one day. Now that's service. They not only save my business but got a client for a lifetime. I just hope Chevy starts to make a 5500 so I don't have to buy any more fords. read more

Always a great experience! The service manager is always Straightforward and upfront with all aspects.

My mother bought a car from here not that long ago. She absolutely loves her car, but had an issue with her sunroof not closing. She went into the service department and spoke to some plain jane women with glasses who was extremely rude. She told my mother that it would be $105 to fix the issue. I've been a service advisor for 10 years, and so has my other sister. So, she wanted to charge my mother an hours worth of labor to have a technician shove my mother's moonroof closed essentially. When my mother said she didn't have that kind of money at the moment she brushed my mom off and sent her away. When my mom was sitting in their waiting area calling me trying to figure out what to do, she over heard this rude woman talking about her to a Technician saying, "She has no money to fix her car, so we're not doing anything." The only reason my mother knew she was talking about her is because she heard the rude woman say "her daughter is a service advisor." For the record, my entire family is in the automotive industry, and we work for multiple different manufacturers. This woman is the exact reason people hate coming to car dealerships. Because of disrespectful, uneducated, unprofessional employees like this woman. How dare you disrespect my mother, how dare you try and take advantage of someone who needs help. I truly hope you see this, and I hope there are some repercussions for your actions. You should be ashamed to have this woman as an employee at your establishment, because if this is how colonial represents itself no one I know will ever come to any of your stores. read more

My wife had a car issue come up unexpectedly. I was under the impression that the car was under warranty so decided to take it to Colonial Ford instead of my regular mechanic. Turns out the vehicle was 4,000 miles over the warranty, though only two years old. So no warranty but I am told that the vehicle will be ready the next business day. The next day comes and I am told another day. Finally the next day I am told to wait yet another day for the repair to be finished. The car was in the shop from Thursday until Wednesday. I have never had a car in the shop for an entire week. Ever. Especially for a small two hour job. And for each delay in service (which I was told was out of their control) they never called to inform me my vehicle would be in the shop for an extended length of time. I had to call at the end of each business day to get in touch with somebody. I shouldn't have to hunt you down for information regarding my vehicle. If something changes in the diagnosis or anything the honest thing to do is to call the customer ASAP with the new information. So I voice my complaints with Sarah in the Service Department twice. She assured me she would speak to a manager about my frustration. Finally the day for pickup comes around. Sarah had never spoke to a manager so I decided to call Bob Johnson, Service Manager, myself. It took me three phone calls before Bob Johnson returned my call. When he finally called me back he began the conversation saying he had no idea regarding my situation as Sarah had failed to do her job and relay the message. So I explained my situation and frustration. Bob Johnson then literally says he has no idea why I'm frustrated and proceeds to berate me as if I were a child. In order to avoid further verbal assault from Bob Johnson I reassured him I was not trying to be argumentative or get out of a bill. Just simply expressing complaints. He had no interest in hearing my complaints or maintaining a decades' old business relationship. I proceeded to ask Bob Johnson for a break down of my bill. He refused to give me a total amount of hours for labor required to complete the job. He also told me that they do not work on an hourly rate for labor but it is an arbitrary number they decide on for each job. This is an interesting point because it is visibly posted in their waiting area that they do indeed bill labor at $119.00 per hour. Bob Johnson was unwilling to listen to a loyal customer with complaints and due to the belligerent and incompetent staff I will no longer conduct any business with Colonial Ford. You cannot market yourself as a family owned business and treat customers rudely. If you are fine with a company that takes a week or more for the smallest of mechanical jobs then Colonial Ford might be for you. If you do not mind a company that does nothing to reward customers for their loyalty then Colonial Ford is the choice for you. But if you want quality service and a company that stands behind its products while respecting their customers, you will need to seek service elsewhere. read more

Every aspect of this service visit was exceptional. The valet was attentive and even gave me a ride home so I didn't have to wait and there was no loaner available. The service here was so horrible that I am now sitting taking the time to create a Google account to voice my displeasure and warn others. I dropped my certified pre-owned vehicle (purchased a month ago) off for a broken power seat and a check engine light that's been coming on and off intermittently. Something that should take a couple hours to repair is now running into two weeks. The one positive was that I did get the benefit of having a loaner car. The service advisor told me days ago that the part for repairing the engine light was on back order. Why they do not have readily available parts for a 2014 vehicle, I do not know. I've called several times over the past couple weeks to get a status only to be greeted with "we're still waiting on the part". After getting fed up with waiting I called the rep and asked for the part number and name so that I can call around for the part myself. Suddenly within an hour of our conversation I was notified that they had received two orders of the part came in. Smh. I was then told that the part would be put in and the car should be available within an hour. I came in three hours later only to be told that the car was still being worked on. The device advisor called the shop to get an eta and was told the car was fixed. The service advisor then proceeds to walk around the lot to see if the car was in the parking lot. He didn't even know where the car was. Totally rediculous. Finally he came back and said the car was being road tested. After about 20 mins sitting and waiting the advisor came back and said the car would need to be kept though the weekend since some other part was also not working. We'll see what happens on Monday. Long story short...the service here SUCKS !!!!! read more

Words cannot express how disappointed i am with Colonial Ford of Connecticut. I have had several conversations with Mr. Mike Myer in reference to an Infiniti I was interested in. I explained to Mr. Myer I would be purchasing the car in full, which included a check from a bank and the remainder in cash. Mr. Myer then had to discuss with his manager whether or not this was doable. After speaking with his manager, he called me back and informed me they could make this happen. Our next conversation consisted of Mr. Myer trying to get me to fill out an application through their dealership to see if i could be approved through their bank they "prefer" to use. I explained, again, this was not something i wanted to do and wished to proceed with what was originally discussed. He proceeded to give me multiple reasons why he did not want to do it my way, none of which were good reasons to me. Mr. Myer was rude and, eventually, hung up in my face. I'm going to assume this behavior from your staff is not tolerated, and I would like to receive a call back from Mr. Myer's supervisor so that I may have a better understanding of why my original deal fell through and why I was treated with such disrespect. I hope to hear back from someone immediately. Sincerely, A potential customer you just lost read more
