I love my new Crosstrek!!! I am new to this brand as I bought my first Subaru last week. I was about to get a new upgraded Jeep the next day, but thought to just check this store out as I pass it on my way home every night and have never considered Subaru as an option. I was surprised to find that the new models felt very sporty, sharp, upgraded technology, comfy, and really really nice... enough so that I got very interested in changing my mind to consider the Subaru over my Jeep! My sales person Kayla was outstanding... her knowledge about the cars, options, process, etc and her great personality and patience with my questions makes her stand out as the best I have ever dealt with in my 8 car purchases at dealers throughout my life. And let me mention she also stayed very late after store closed to help me as I arrived close to closing due to my work schedule, as well as the time she spent when I picked up the car to teach me how to use all the cool gadgets in my new car!!! She took care of me from start to finish!! She deserves the best sales person of the year award!!! I also met the manager, Nelson, which he was absolutely wonderful as well... he has such a welcoming and very friendly/nice personality, his kindness, patience, knowledge, and help with deciding which car was the right fit for me, was so appreciated. He offered me a very fair trade for my car which I really appreciated. I will add he also stayed very late after hours to help me decide which car was the best fit for me, which was soo nice of him. He is truly the best store manager I have ever met !!! Rich, the very nice and helpful financial gentleman that spent time to provide, review, and process the paperwork for dmv, loan, trade, etc was also fabulous. He answered extra questions I thought of and offered me a few other options with the loan and protections which also really helped me as I finalized everything. I really enjoyed my time with him as well... such a great man. Due to all of the reasons I listed above, I decided that night to buy a Subaru, not just from any office, but from that office in Brewster, put the deposit down, and drove off with my new car the next day. My new purchase happened and was based on the outstanding teamwork of these 3 individuals and the experience and service they provided to me. Thank you for all you have done for me, I am so happy I walked in your dealership that night..was the best 'let.me check this place out' I have ever tried... walked out happier then when I walked in. I know their service dept must be as good.. I love my new dark gray hybrid Crosstrek.. it is gorgeous and has the best technology features!! Not to mention the safety ratings are top of the top and is known for being the best in the snow too, need here in CT. All my neighbors and coworkers are making comments that they think it is beautiful and hot.. very sporty!! Every day I can't wait to drive to and from work for my 1 hour commute.... I just love driving in my new Subaru... I am sold.. I love Subaru now!!!... Btw.. I also love the app that I can turn on my car ahead of time from anywhere, to get cool with ac or warm the heated seats while I wrap up at work, etc .. or check to make sure I locked my doors and lock them.. and can turn on horn and lights to scare off potential losers trying to get in the car... while I lay in bed or anywhere! I had an absolutely excellent experience here getting my car serviced, and my emissions testing done. Joey was the one who helped me and he did a fabulous job! I got a great loaner car, was in and out very quickly, the work they did was great, including detailing my car very thoroughly, and they were even nice enough to drop it back off at my house, which was really convenient! There was an extra issue after drop off and they came back to address it which again was just really amazing and above and beyond! Definitely coming back in the future. I had one of the worst experiences with this Subaru dealership. Called service for appointment to get wheel bearings changed. Service Advisor quoted a lowball figure of $900 over the phone but did not want to share anything in writing. At day of service I had to wait with several other cars in front of gate as staff wasn't ready to start the day. What a waste of time! Then dropped off car but insisted to get a cost estimate. Service Advisor stated that they need to run some tests first and he was wondering if I really have the time for this. I told hin that this is not a problem for me. I reiterated that I need the rear wheel bearings changed . He then responded that this will cost at minimum $2000. Lesson learned- do not waste any time here before having a written commitment. Had an appointment so buy a certified pre owned Ascent and called three times to make sure it was still available since I needed someone to drive me hours to get there. As we were leaving to head up there, I called again just in case it was sold that morning and was assured it wasn't. got there two hours later and they tell me it was sold but they had a different one I could look at. Brought my wife's car in for service today to get the cameras re-aligned due to a new windshield. Service rep was very polite and thorough with the repair needed for this re-alignment. They were very honest with us about our 2009 Subaru probably not being worth fixing. And they were very kind as we found ourselves in a really tough spot having to abandon a dead car far from our home. The people were lovely. Kindness really matters. Today at the new location wasn't a great experience. I was scheduled for 8am. Got there 10 minutes early, every single door locked, customers coming up to me asking if they're open today, saw people leaving because they're supposed to be open. Figured they opened right at 8 so I waited. 8 came around and doors still locked till 8:10. Went inside to service, nobody greeted me, no one said anything even after I walked up to the service advisor desk. Finally I said "excuse me" and the guy finally acknowledged me. After walking around the inside of the new location I noticed show room cars are dirty, there's boxes laying around everywhere and loan officers are arguing with mechanics in front of customers. I understand moving locations can be an adjustment but this whole experience today left a bad feeling in my gut. I'll just start going somewhere else, which sucks for me because I literally drive an hour OUT of my way just to come to this Subaru. Don't expect good customers if you don't give good customer service. And don't schedule me for 8am if the doors don't open at 8. Very unprofessional, my last time here. read more

We left our car there for the day to diagnose a problem. We had to call at the end of the day to find out that they hadn't looked at it yet. Same thing the second day. At the end of the THIRD day Brewster Subaru had the car, we called and got an estimate for thousands of dollars in work to rebuild the engine, among other recommendations. We told the service tech, Danny Gomes, that we would hold off. (It's an older vehicle and we wanted time to consider whether to invest that much into the vehicle.) When we picked up the car, the service tech, Danny literally tossed the bill across the counter. He was clearly upset that we weren't having the recommended work done. Another shop later told us the engine was fine. We felt frustrated that we had to do without the car for three days just to get an estimate. And between receiving the emailed estimate and picking up the car, the oil change had more than doubled in price. We'll never go back to Brewster Subaru. read more

After being brushed off by another HV Subaru dealership service department about an ongoing issue, Brewster spent a lot of time and work finding the source of the problem and fixing it. They had to work with the national corporate office. I can't comment on pricing since this was all while the car was still under warranty. They also were so nice and really listened after I told them all the things the other service department tried that hadn't worked. They also have a shuttle if you need it (for a small radius) and offered me loaner cars. read more

This is for their service department only as I've never worked with their sales department. I dropped my Subaru Legacy off for an oil change, recall issue and AC issue on Wednesday evening for a Thursday appointment. As I requested, Danny called before starting any work to give me a ballpark price and when everything was said and done, they were right on the nose. He also mentioned that everything else on the car looked great and no additional services were needed. This might seem small, but to me it's huge that I wasn't given an up-sell or pushed to have unnecessary services performed on my vehicle. The icing on the cake is that, when I explained to Danny I had no way of picking my car up (my Husband is working 14+ hours a day right now) he offered to drop it off to me at my house! I brought the car to my neighborhood mechanic who diagnosed and fixed the problem by cleaning the air mass sensor, Last service and last car I will ever buy from Brewster Subaru. I have been living with sub par performance for 5 months because they could not diagnose this simple issue and wanted another $120 to look at it again. Bought 2 cars from this dealership but no more. Let me start off by saying I have been in the business myself for 30 years although I am retired now. I originally bought my last car at a different dealer where Kristen worked because of how easy she made it. I have seen my fair share of Internet managers and sales managers, she is by far the easiest to work with, and most organized. You ask for a scenario, she gets back to you with product knowledge,numbers, and future suggestions within 10 minutes. If it is after hours she will still get back to you via email or text even at 9pm if you have a concern.Although she does not do internet anymore I found her through linkedin. Even though she was an additional hour from her original location I knew I needed to make the trip to avoid the hassle of haggling, and the back and forth. She as always was straight forward, got me out of my lease that I was over miles on early but she kept my next payment under budget.When I went to go pick up everything was ready to go, and I was out of there in 45 minutes. I told her she is missing her true calling of handling internet sales to which she agreed however she enjoyed being there.May I add that the typical vibe you get from a dealer which includes tension when you walk in is not present at Brewster Subaru. You can tell from the minute you walk in and they offer you coffee/popcorn you are in a place where it is not cut throat.You can feel the relaxed atmosphere. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. They only look to take money from customers not to help them. My engine blew on my 2013 impreza at 82,000 miles. I had it delivered to brewster subaru to be looked at and worked on because the engine was covered under warranty. After opening the hood they said it is no longer under warranty and no longer their problem because the cap to the radiator popped off. It came off from the pressure because the car overheated. I called corporate and had a whole ordeal with corporate and they told corporate a different story so corporate wouldn't approve the claim. When buying the car they tell you you need all these packages, but when you go to use them they are no good. read more

So creepy! I test drove a used Subaru they were selling, evidently one of their customer courtesy cars. They had mis-represented a lot of information that was on the Carfax report, including the mileage. Sleaziest dealership imaginable. Bought a car here and regretted it immediately. Passed their Certified Pre-Owned inspection and had a nail in the side wall of the tire, and a dry-rotted serpentine belt. Told them I'm not taking the car until the tire was replaced. They called to say it was replaced, and when I went to pick it up all they had done was rotate it from the front right to the back left thinking I wouldn't notice. And then the wheels...two of the wheels had curb rash so I negotiated to have them refinished by the wheel guy (they said he comes by almost weekly) as part of the deal. I came to get the car and showed the tech out back that they were still horribly scratched. He said he was instructed to take them off and polish them by hand and that the wheel guy never touched them. He then pointed out the dried up serpentine belt and said it should've never passed the CPO inspection like that. Thank god there was one honest person there. Please just stay away from this place. read more
