We were in touch with Danbury Automotive as soon as we saw the car advertised, and from the moment we pulled up to this small dealership/repair shop, everything was friendly, clean, orderly, and confidence-inspiring. The owner and salesman were just as personable as could be and made the whole process comfortable and expedient. That was just the start. We ended up purchasing a second-hand 2011 Subaru Forester, based on the information given to us by the salesman, our test drive, and the shop's guarantee. Not only that, but the owner drove 40 miles to have the car registered and inspected in New York State; he made sure the oil was changed, new wipers and light bulbs were installed, the engine was cleaned to spotlessness, and the gas tank was filled. We have a complete record of the repairs done to the car since it arrived at Danbury Automotive, and they'll keep it on file for years. The CarFax report was also given to us. This is an all-around great dealership, and I would not hesitate to recommend them. It was a little out of the way for us -- we live in Tarrytown -- but it was well worth the drive. This shouldn't have taken a long time, so I planned for about an hour of my time. This ended up taking nearly 3 hours of my time. The price wasn't too bad for everything we got done, but the time could've been better. There was an understanding that they were short staffed, however when an appointment is made, there shouldn't be such a delay for simple services. The workers were extremely nice, however, and I would recommend them, just carve out a chunk of your day if you're going to wait. They also do not have a bathroom in the shop, so be aware of that too :)

The ONLY issue they found was that might right wheel bearing needed to be replaced as the back of the car was making a louder sound. I went into Billy's a week later (because they were cheaper) to get the right wheel bearing replaced and after I got the car back, the car was louder than ever. All of the sudden my left wheel bearing supposedly had an issue as well despite another dealer saying it was in great condition. Two days after leaving the shop, my check engine light has been on and despite a few calls to the dealer, no logical explanation has been explained and overall service was awful. I guess you get what you pay for here - strongly recommend going anywhere else, even if more expensive.

My boyfriend and his mother kept pushing me to drop my car off there to have a look at. After speaking to the driver, we decided to take the Jeep to their shop for repairs - Rhonda called me on Monday morning with a diagnosis and estimate - they completed the repairs the same day and worked with me to pick it up after hours. Everyone I spoke with was polite, helpful and eager to make me feel comfortable. I felt that the price to repair my brakes was reasonable and didn't feel pressured to do anything extra. I will definitely return the next time my car needs repairs and will happily recommend the shop to my friends and family.
