NOT HONEST, Car Inspection - I went to my car dealership a month and half before the appointment I…read morehad at Brewster Service Station. I had 3 tire sensors that needed new batteries. The dealership, which always gives a good once over inspection at every visit, unsolicitedly said my tires, that were purchased in 2022, were good (not fair or bad as those were the choices). When I brought the car in for the NYS Inspection at Brewster Service Station the owner said I needed 4 new tires and 2 new breaks. I told him I was just at the dealership and they said everything was fine. He told me because it was Connecticut that they don't know or understand the New York inspection process. He peeled the inspection sticker off the car and would not approve the inspection. I left because something didn't feel right. I rarely use the car and only had 150 miles added on the car between the appointment at the dealership and the appointment with Brewster Service Station (1 1/2 months). Thankfully the dealership has 2 branches and I decided to visit the same dealership's New York branch where they do inspections. I had them do the NYS Inspection over again. I mentioned the tires to the customer rep but not the breaks, as he could clearly see the inspection sticker was gone. They approved my NYS Inspection and said the tires should not have failed my inspection. I then asked about my breaks. Again, I did not mention to the dealership what the Brewster Service Station said about the breaks and I expected them to be consistent. The service rep at the dealership said my car has break sensors and the breaks are fine. I almost spent $1600 plus when I didn't need too. I've heard from others that this station has done this and it is clear from the reviews on Google he does this often. He knows he has you between a rock and a hard place especially when he eagerly scrapes the inspection sticker off. He is a dishonest person. DO NOT USE THIS STATION.

And then told she would have no idea when I could be seen -- Maria had no empathy or even asked how I was, I felt like less than a human at that point but more of an inconvenience. I ended up leaving, and honestly this was all for a state inspection. I will be complaining to the owner Saul -- don't be late to your appointment or you'll be talked to like dirt. I honestly can't talk to the work they do, but I can tell you I won't be back here ever again.

They have a revolving door of office staff and mechanics. The latest is my car needed an alternator. After charging me $450 everything seemed fine. The next day was unseasonably warm and I discovered my AC was blowing hot air. If it hadn't been for the warm weather, I wouldn't have taken it back until the following year and then would have been charged to "repair" my car's AC. Looks like I need a new mechanic.

Both times I was quoted a price for work to be performed. I reviewed the work item by item with the service advisor before letting the work begin. Both times after the service was performed the final invoice was higher than the quoted signed estimate. When confronted about the upcharge excuses were made and minor adjustments were applied still resulting in me pay a higher amount than the original singed and approved estimate.

I can't stress it enough. The first time was about 3 years ago. The front axel on my Explorer didn't work and so I dropped it off. They fixed it for a large sum. Six months later it went bad again. It was still under warranty so it should have been resolved at no additional cost. The truck did NOT have any other problems they gave me the truck back again. A week later the axel was bad again. I brought it back and again they fixed it except this time mysteriously the radiator developed a bad leak and needed replacement. I objected because they damaged it, but they would not take ownership. I paid another $500. For something they damaged. Recently I saw they had a new service manager and I thought after a few years things might be different. What a huge mistake going back was. My 2020 explorer ran great and it did NOT have any problems. I received a notice from Ford about a recall. I arranged for an appointment to have the recall serviced. Something about the seatbelts not being safe. Well kick me in my rear. I fell for it again. Today makes two weeks that they have been "working" on it. Then I called and asked for a status. The service advisor says oh the recall is done but there is a problem with the rear lift gate lock. Mind you I did NOT have a problem before I came here. Now they want $500. To fix it. This place is horrible and I warn you don't come here, you will regret it. Now my car has a dealer created issue and they won't own it. I don't have the words to truly express my disappointment and the inconvenience Brewster Ford has caused me. 1) service sucks 2) Quality sucks 3) value sucks I want to sell my car and never look at another Ford ever again.

This proves it was talking to the car. Regardless, they uncharged me and rather than argue with them I payed the bill and will NEVER come back.
