I just took a delivery of a pre-owned Volvo that I located here through CarFax -- again, they have "nothing to hide." I would generalize and say that most shops will pick up their "to sell" cars, wash them, vacuum them out, put them on the lot, and hang up a price tag. That's NOT the Fairwind way... Mirek is an old-country mechanic that likes for things to be "right" and wants to be able to sleep at night, knowing that he's done the right thing for his customers. It's almost like he's preparing the car for himself. What I experienced was a car with no compromises. One that's been thoroughly been checked out and brought up to a "ready-to-go" level. He didn't have to do what he did but as I said, he wants to know that "he's done the right thing for his customers." Take a look -- it's worth your time!

I offered him $$$ to do it himself but he wouldn't and he basically left me stranded 80 miles from my house. I called 3 other tow companies, no one would do it. I got in touch with Mike from Dingees. Mike said yes right away and he even gave me a break on the price. The driver Sunny came within minutes and towed the car back to NYC. It was at least a 3 hour transport. He was professional and a nice guy. Dingees came through for me when I was stranded,, not sure what I would have done without them. I would call them again without hesitation if I needed a tow ,,, I highly recommend them to anyone. They'll never leave you stranded!

When I called, Luis Castro (the founder and CEO of the business) immediately picked up. He was very polite, very professional, and thoroughly explained to me what can be done and the pricing structure. When I got to the shop, the work began promptly. And it was very high-quality. It was also nice that there was wi-fi in the lobby area, which made it possible for me to respond to work e-mails while the car cleaning was being done. And it was great to support a small family-owned business. Highly recommended. No regrets. I will absolutely be coming back here if I ever have future needs or want a thorough detailing.

Ratings for this location seem to be extremely low, it doesn't take much time there to see the issues, would suspect that regional and corporate are oblivious. Time for an undercover boss trip to see how carelessly customers and their vehicles are handled.
