We have had three CX9's from this dealership. Our experience both on the sales side with Adam, and the service side with Jeremy has been excellent. They have both consistently gone above and beyond. Cannot recommend this dealership enough! read more

They sold me an Allstate protection contract that is worthless because there are no local providers that provide the promised coverage or services, and the dealership was USELESS in making claims on the contract, they just ignored all my requests for referrals, it's been incredibly frustrating and I feel ripped off. Also, my 2025 Mazda CX-50 developed dimples in the seat one week after I bought the car, and although it was caused by the cooling feature, Mazda the company refused to fix the problem under warranty, said it was from "outside influences" which I guess means sitting on seat??? The dealership did try to fix the problem, but it came back almost immediately and now they are ghosting me. There's also a bolt rolling around in one of the doors, that the service department said they fixed, but they didn't. This has been a really bad experience with both Mazda the company, the quality of this car, and this dealership, cannot recommend. read more

25+ years as a Colonial Mazda customer and nothing but great things to say. You can just tell the staff likes what they do. Picked up car # 5 today from Adam and he went above and beyond purchase expectations of our new "pre-owned" 2023 CX 5. read more

Great service appointment--on time, efficient, professional, and complimentary. In a world where so much feels off, Colonial remains a great place to buy and service Mazdas. read more

I'm so glad we chose to go to Colonial to buy our Mazda. No pressure, just friendly, honest people who actually care about the cars they sell and the people who buy them. The finance manager even told us we didn't need a bunch of expensive extra services that another dealership might have tried to do a "hard sell" on. I also really appreciated that all our taxes and fees were included in the down payment, so our drive-off price was exactly what we'd planned for, to the penny. Joe Vermiglio was our salesman, he knows his cars in and out, and was a genuine human being throughout the process, instead of a "pushy salesman." He just answered all our questions, got us the car we wanted, and made sure we were happy. We love our new car and we'll definitely go to Colonial again when it's time for our next one. read more

Rating: 2/5 Stars Frustrating Communication and Questionable Sales Practices Location: Colonial Mazda, Danbury, CT Summary: While I walked away with a vehicle, the purchasing process was incredibly disappointing due to poor communication and a lack of transparency regarding financing and vehicle availability. The Details: Initially, my family and I visited the dealership to purchase the latest model 2023 Mazda CX-30 for my daughter. Since the desired blue color was out of stock, we were promised it would arrive within a month. We signed an agreement to trade in our 2011 Honda Accord for a locked-in value and secure the 2023 Mazda CX-30 at the current 0.99% interest rate. Over the next month, I repeatedly checked on the car's arrival, only to be told it would be "arriving soon." However, after the month passed, I was suddenly informed that the 0.99% promotional rate had expired and no longer applied. Even more concerning, the salesman then strongly encouraged us to purchase a used CX-30 at a much higher interest rate. This felt like a deliberate delay tactics to force us into a higher-rate loan. Rather than settling for a used vehicle, I opted to upgrade to a new CX-50, and the dealership honored the initial trade-in value for our 2011 Honda. However, I am highly disappointed that the salesman did not give me even a day's notice before the promotional interest rate expired. Had I known the CX-30 wouldn't arrive in time, I could have secured the 0.99% rate for the CX-50. Conclusion: I cannot in good conscience recommend a dealership that operates this way. Transparency and clear communication should be a priority, and unfortunately, this experience fell completely short of that standard. read more

Jeremy and the crew took excellent care of me. I am the owner of four consecutive Mazdas and have dealt with other dealers. I had a newly expired warranty on an expensive repair, and they did right by me; so much so as to earn my future business, not only for repairs but for my next purchase coming up next year. It's no wonder they have such excellent reviews. read more

I leased a 2025 Mazda CX-50 on November 17,2025 from Colonial Mazda in Danbury CT. In addition to liking the car, our Salesperson Adam was very professional and knowledgeable. When we picked up the car from the showroom on 11/17 it wouldn't start. They explained away that the battery had died. We accepted that explanation and went home with the car. The next day the engine stopped working while driving to my daughter's school. The service department brought the car back to Danbury Colonial Mazda. It was determined to have issues with the engine and crankshaft. The car was "fixed" and delivered back to our house. Less than 2 days later the engine malfunction light came on again and the car didn't drive correctly. We had to make alternate arrangements to get to Thanksgiving in NJ. Colonial Mazda took the car back and reported back to me on 12/5 that is was fixed. On 12/5 I spoke to general manager David Adam to explain my concerns with taking the car back. David agreed that he would not want this car if he were in my situation. Nonetheless, I was told I'm stuck with the car. To say we are frustrated and disappointed is an understatement. We understand that glitches happen but Mazda should offer to switch out the car with one in working condition. Be warned of this situation before visiting the dealership. read more

Ordered part for my car and Jason was very helpful. Felt like he was very professional and helpful. Thank you!

I was looking for a new car and after reading tons of reviews and speaking with fellow Mazda owners, I found just what I was looking for in a Mazda cx30. I went to a one other Mazda dealership before going to Colonial and am so glad I decided to go with Colonial. Shiv helped my father and I from the start to end and was great throughout the whole process. He remained in contact via text to make sure everything was perfect and checked in afterwards to see how I was liking the car. The financial people did a great job explaining the warranties and the whole process was so simple! I just got a service today and Anthony was awesome. The video inspection is pretty cool and easier to understand than the little checklist they give you after a service at other dealerships. The waiting area in the dealership is nice with a small coffee station, wifi, and plenty of comfortable chairs while you wait for your car to be serviced. I just hope that they eventually have service appointments on Saturdays because it's a little inconvenient going during the week. If you're in the market to get a Mazda - definitely check out Colonial! read more

I used to be a Hyundai fan until my 5 year old fully loaded Hyundai Tucson caught on fire (with me in it) without any reason. Scary and totaled. I was now on the search for a new SUV. I TRULY SHOPPED AROUND. My shopping ended (thank goodness!) when I arrived at Colonial Mazda in Danbury CT and met Adam. I was reluctant to believe ANY salesman at this point. Adam took his time with me and answered my list of questions. He really schooled me on different Mazda models to find out what I was looking for in an SUV. I had a budget and explained that I was tired of salesmen trying to 'UP' my budget. Adam stuck to my budget and found a model with all of my 'must haves' and I picked the Mazda CX5. It's beautiful!! I can't say enough about Adam!! I will definitely buy my next SUV from him. I told my BFF about Adam and my Mazda. Pam lives in Florida and now also owns a Mazda. Hey Adam my experience has you selling in Florida!!! LOL Thank you Adam and Colonial Mazda Mike read more

My wife, Karen McIlvenny and I were very impressed with the overall professional & polite service received at this Dealership today! Not only was the salesperson Edy outstanding to work with & extremely polite, but his Finance Mgr, who went over all the paperwork, was also very helpful and not pushy as many other dealerships have proved to be in our 45 years of car purchases! Because of them we will highly recommend Colonial Mazda! read more

Darren and his team in the Service Department did an excellent job with helping us out on our CX-90 maintenance and explanations. Plus the waiting room is very nice, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend Colonial Mazda. read more

The service business was not helpful. I had an oil change done on the vehicle and found an issue with the car after pickup (screen was malfunctioning). That was not the case before and no one reported it at Mazda. I was told to pay an expensive diagnostics fee and over $1500 to replace a CMU to have a functioning radio. Avoid this place! read more

If you need a Mazda, speak to Jason in sales.. he's incredible ! He will get you the best deal and he's a fantastic person. If you need your car serviced, my Advisor: Ismael Ruiz was AMAZING! He always went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of in every way.. the valet wasn't available to take me home when my car needed to be on the shop for a few days and Ismael took me home while clocked out on his lunch break, and I'm sure it took up the majority of his lunch break, and his manager didn't even know he was doing that for me. Ismael is just an incredible human being. Not only was he was honest/transparent about the diagnosis of my car, he helped me get it covered by Geico even though they were no longer my insurance provider. In every step of the way, Ismael went above and beyond to take care of me.. from driving me home, to updates, to making sure everything that could be covered, would be. I cannot recommend Colonial Mazda, and Ismael in particular, enough. A+++++++! read more

I do not write reviews but I just had a great experience at Colonial Mazda. Our salesman, Adam Dean, did a wonderful job from start to finish! This is coming from someone who has purchased and sold over $1,000,000 worth of cars. Adam, the sales manager Dave and the business manager Jay are all really good guys and they work seamlessly together. There was none of the typical dealer shenanigans. When we showed up the dealership had no power due to a car crash down the street. That didn't effect their positive attitude one bit. My daughter hit a deer yesterday and wanted a new car. Adam helped her pick a beautiful dark blue loaded CX-5. We traded in her wreck, purchased the car and drove away in a freshly detailed CX-5 on the same day. The reviewer that said this dealer lies perplexed me as I have a very sensitive bs meter and these guys are legit. If your you are looking for a Mazda this is the place. Great price, stellar service! Thanks Adam! read more

My windshield, wipers, and side mirror were damaged by a sheet of ice flying off another car. Excellent sales service, very helpful and knowledgeable. Happy that we could purchase our daughter's first car with them.

Nice enough staff, but they don't allow you to pay for cars on Fridays. It's the weirdest thing ever.

My family and I had the most amazing experience at Colonial Mazda. Go see Jason White. He will truly take care of you and you will have so much fun buying your next car. He will welcome and answer all questions and help you figure out what model is aligned with what you want/need. Everyone at Colonial Mazda is incredibly welcoming and helpful. The facility is beautiful and impeccably clean. Go check them out, you can thank me later! read more

I have leased 2 cars from Colonial Mazda. My first experience was good. The most recent, 4 weeks ago, was a disaster. After attempting to get information in order to make my first payment MULTIPLE times and being given the wrong information, I had to call the general manager to get him involved. He was finally able to get me an account number. Apparently they are using Mazda Financial Services who sources out the actual financing to Toyota. I was initially given phone numbers to contact Toyota and they had no idea who I was! Fortunately I obtained the necessary information to make my payment on time. I'm STILL waiting for my car registration sticker and document. I transferred the plates from the car I traded in and was told that they would send these items via over-night mail. They keep blaming the delay on NY State DMV and COVID-19. After checking the DMV website I found out that the documents were sent to them 2 weeks ago. No one at the dealership can locate the items so I had to have them re-issued, at a cost to me, and sent to me directly. Something has happened to this dealership over the past 3 years. It's extremely disorganized and no one seems to be educated regarding financing or processing of paperwork. Needless to say I will not be returning. read more

Adam Dean, my salesman was top notch! Through the entire buting process he was there to lend a helping hand. When I arrived to sign paperwork, the business manager Anthony was ready to go and went quick and painless. Memorial Day this year my husband and I were in the area and stoped by Colonial Mazda, we did not have an appointment. We were greeted quickly by Cody. As I did much of my research online previously, I had an idea of what I wanted. I was just unsure of which model to get, as well as which additional features. Cody helped my husband and I took the time in his busy schedule to fit us in, and figure out which model was best for us, within minutes he had keys to a car for us to test drive. We went for a quick drive and fell in love! The car has so many awesome features, we were so impressed. After, we went back in to discuss our purchase of the car we just test drove. We never felt like we were "dealing with a salesman". We both felt that Cody had our best interest in mind, made sure we were completely comfortable with our purchase. Cody made sure that we were getting the best price. We ended up picking up our new car later that week! Upon pick up we arrived to see our brand new car with a HUGE red bow!!! Such a nice surprise just added to the special moment. Cody took his time to go over every feature and set up the car with us. Cody kept in contact with us to made sure we were still happy and if we had any questions with our new vehicle. We also had a pleasant experience with their financial department. Jay took his time with us to explain all of our options and best add ons for the best protection! read more

Not knowing basically anything about Mazda, we figured we would take a look as we were in the market for a new car. With a baby on the way, we wanted a bit of extra space along with all of the updated technology most cars are now offering. We definitely did our homework and shopped around, narrowing down our final search to 2 or 3 cars, the Mazda CX9 being one of them. Our experience at Mazda was hands down the best we've ever had in terms of purchasing a new car. We had a really hard time with other local dealerships, until we came to Colonial Mazda and met Shiv. He was so incredibly friendly, thorough and knowledgeable about the cars. We never felt pressured or rushed throughout the process, which is the complete opposite of every other place we visited. Shiv was the main reason we came back to Mazda a 2nd and then final time to purchase the CX9. Everyone else who we spoke with/dealt with at the dealership was equally as pleasant and easy to work with. We picked up our car this weekend and we absolutely love it. We are very happy with our decision to go with Mazda. If you want to be treated fairly and with respect, I highly recommend heading over to Colonial Mazda. Thank you for everything Shiv! read more

I just wanted to schedule a car check up and the dude who answered the phone treated me like an idiot and a waste of time because I was asking a few extra questions like "How long should it take?" as I don't have any other means of transport and worse he eventually hung up on me after I asked if they do oil changes too. I mean I don't know cars at all so it didn't feel good when this guy made me feel like shit about asking for help. Wish I could give them 0 stars. They lied about the mileage before I bought the car... they lied about helping me find another car that I could afford to put gas in....they lied about loners when I need service. I can't think of one good reason to do business with them. High pressure sales and lots of promises they don't keep as soon as you sign on the dotted line...oh, and a car that doesn't live up to any promises. A review for the CX-9 itself is that for the 12 miles per gallon I get I could have gotten a much larger vehicle that would seat 7 and still have room for luggage. The oversize tires will cost me double to replace when the time comes, and the overlarge doors are terrible in parking lots. Save yourself!!! read more

I scheduled an appointment for a recall service to replace an airbag at another Mazda dealer who unfortunately didn't have the part. I scheduled an appointment with Colonial Mazda, and although airbags are VIN specific and the other dealer had already put in an order for the part, Colonial Mazda was able to work with the other dealer and transfer the right to use another airbag to repair my car and take care of me. I appreciate the great service, understanding that customers are busy, and wanting to take care of customers. read more
