What's great experience going to this Safelite. Communication from scheduling to the end was spot on!! The staff there were phenomenal- friendly, fast, professional. I had have a Subaru that needed windshield and calibration. The young woman at the desk was legitimately concerned that my insurance wasn't covering and costs - obviously not her fault but they were really upset about it. When the work was finished they called me at work and i had no issue picking it up... in-out when I dropped it off and in-out when i picked it up!!! Thank you for the great job!!! read more

I and everyone waiting in the room were there for warranty service. Mine was leaking when raining most others had issues with the calibration of sensors on their car. Seem to by this observation have trouble doing a job right the first time. I'm sure the new cars are complicated, but take the time necessary to do the job right rather than make the customer return as though their time was worthless. Ratings for this location seem to be extremely low, it doesn't take much time there to see the issues, would suspect that regional and corporate are oblivious. Time for an undercover boss trip to see how carelessly customers and their vehicles are handled. read more

It was poor communication from the start, and unfortunately throughout my entire experience which also included having my new windshield replaced TWICE due to 1) an inferior windshield with a blemish DIRECTLY in front of the driver (how do you not see that once installed and you perform a QC check on the completed job - oh right, you DIDNT perform a QC check!) ,and then the second one they damaged some plastic trim around the outside of the windshield and took MONTHS to order it correctly to replace it. I finally went and picked it up and installed it myself. Also the buck got passed from person to person and no none seemed to know what each other was doing / who did what / who ordered the parts/ etc. A true classic CLUSTERFUNK from beginning to end. I spent two weeks trying to get Safelite in Danbury to actually do the job of replacing my windshield after a rock hit it. They were nothing but rude, incommunicative, and incompetent. What an absolute breath of fresh air when I found Glass America in Brookfield after vowing to take my business elsewhere. The tech called me morning of to check in, called again right before we were due to meet, and then completed the job quickly, efficiently, and well in just over an hour. Went to the Danbury location the other day to get my windshield replaced. The guys in their were friendly and efficient. I had to get work done so I brought my laptop and logged into their high speed Wi-Fi and was on the phone with a work emergency and they were totally fine with it. They even offered me water and snacks. My car was done in one hour, which was a lot faster then I was expecting. John brought my car out to me and explained not to do a car wash for a couple days. So I have had a noise while on the highway where I need to crack my window to quiet it down. It's around 65 mph. I think I need more insulation or whatever it is that you use? Please let me know if you will fix it? Im transporting a dog soon. So, I made an appointment, and they said they it wasn't their fault that the side pieces around the windshield were dry rotted, and it would cost around $180 to replace them. They said to take it to Honda, or get the pieces from a junk yard, and they would put them on. I didn't find out why I need to crack a window when I'm on the highway? The lack of communication and professionalism on the business's end was deplorable. I had an appointment scheduled two weeks ahead of time on August 6th, which was rescheduled without my consent. Fast forward to the day of my newly scheduled appointment on August 16th, I was given the time frame of 8 am-12 pm to have a technician by the name of Patrick arrive at my home. It was approaching noon, prompting me to reach out to the office just to be transferred over to my technician, who told me that my car would not be serviced until two hours AFTER my given time frame. My time was never taken into consideration, nor was an apology issued, which is my main problem and concern. Sure I received some off-brand windshield wipers after REQUESTING them, but this is far from a professional remedy. I UNDERSTAND THAT OVERBOOKING HAPPENS AS I AM A PROVIDER MYSELF. STILL, IT IS PROPER BUSINESS ETIQUETTE AND RESPECT TO INFORM YOUR CUSTOMERS AHEAD OF TIME OF LATE ARRIVAL INSTEAD OF THEM FINDING OUT THEMSELVES BY HUNTING YOU DOWN. Furthermore, once the installation was complete, I quickly noticed that my rearview mirror was loose and that the mount connecting the mirror to the windshield was left crooked. When bringing this up to the technician, I was told there was no solution to this problem but to receive a new windshield. Completely unbelievable. I am highly discouraged from trusting Satellite with my future windshield repairs. Poor quality and professionalism! THE ENTIRE FIASCO COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED, AND IT IS INEXCUSABLE. read more

Had a 4:30 pm prepaid chip repair appointment for one of my BMWs. Arrived 25 min early, was taken in immediately. Car was ready and back on the road 40 min later with a full explanation of how to proceed should the windshield develop a bigger crack (i.e., at that point get credit for the chip repair towards an out-of-pocket new windshield.) First appointment I pointed out an 18" mark between the panels in glass. Tech asked me if it was OK to install. I said NO. Second apt I pointed out a 10" scratch in the middle of the glass. Tech said it's in my line of view so no install. Third appointment they just didn't showed. I called and was told they were trying to find a glass to meet my standards. Like getting a glass that is not damaged was above their standards. 4 days later and still no call back. I called Glass America and next day a non damaged windshield was installed. This is probably my third windshield that I had to replace on the same car. My car is a magnet for pebbles on the highway. I like bringing my car to Safelite rather than have a tech replace it in my driveway or parking lot. First of all, they have all the coffee you can possibly drink. Their small waiting area is pleasant, clean, and fully stocked with snacks. The staff are pretty friendly and efficient. They keep you informed and answer all of your questions. My Jeep had more damage to it after Safelite came to repair the glass in the front passenger window and the right rear window. The interior at the right rear window was not put back together properly and the door panel was cracked. The tinted glass that was installed in the same door was scratched and damaged as well. Not happy with Safelite in general. I've tried it 4 times, two different locations and I'm 1 for 4. First time my windshield wipers weren't calibrated correctly so the automatic feature stopped working, second time the the windshield wipers weren't put on right so they stuck up higher than they were supposed, 3rd time they did the job right and finally the last time the windshield was rushed so you can see the glue around the sides, but the worst part is the glue dripped onto my dashboard requiring me to replace part of my dashboard. Just done with safelite... I feel I could get the job done better going with a boutique shop. I gave them two stars because in all three instances they did correct the problems, minus the bad install job on my last visit, but the dashboard was fixed and the recalibration was done Ok when revisiting (waste of time). Finally (Im not done yet), trying to call the local shop is not possible. Any number you call puts you into a terrible voice automation system that wants to schedule you for a job... if it's anything other than an install it boots you out. It took me a lot of research to find a number that got me in touch with a real live person. Terrible customer service at the corporate level!!! read more

Terrible people. I was trying to arrange a windshield replacement on my Range Rover. The dealer was out of stock with the windshield until late summer I was told safelite has their own supplier. First two appointments I was told not in stock. After wasting my time twice I tried to call to make sure it's in stock and they don't allow you to speak to any agent. The machine tells you to go online and offers a $25 credit for the inconvenience of not being able to speak to an individual. Long story short I canceled my service for good and am now waiting for the dealer to have their windshield in stock. How hard is to to pick up the phone or have someone to speak to confirm availability as the website does not do this. The website will schedule your service without confirming stock. Original: First the mobile tech came out to repair a small chip, but ended up failing to repair my windshield and the crack spread so I needed a full replacement.  Went through insurance and Safelite replaced my windshield and while the glass itself is fine, they broke the power cable to my dashcam.  Victor repeatedly promised me a call back with a solution each time I called to follow up.  Not once did he return my call.  I have been more than patient but now it's been nearly a month without a solution but they keep brushing me off.  I will never give them my business again. Update: After complete runaround and no call backs, I went and bought the parts on my own and lowered this rating to 1 star. Rock hit my window and chipped it causing it to spider. I drove right over and they gave me their opinion and offered to replace it right then and there. I spoke to insurance and we were a go. Absolutely horrendous service. These clowns were supposed to replace my windshield since April 2022. It's now November......still nothing. They showed up to my home and told me the windshield was defective and they could not mount my rear view mirror. I've been drinking around all this time with no rear view mirror. I get calls telling me the new windshield is in but when I attempt to schedule the installation, they inform me that due to a mistake, they sent the windshield back. They FINALLY get the new windshield delivered, schedule the appointment for installation at my home, confirm literally 4 times and then call me 3 hrs before the installation to tell me that it must be performed in their shop and not my home because my vehicle requires certain "calibrations" that cannot be performed in the field. I live in NYS, but scheduled windshield replacement at the Danbury location because it was closer to my work location that week. My schedule was hectic, and I mistakenly went there the day before my appointment. Rather than say "sorry" and send me away, the manager made every effort to get the glass delivered that day so they could install it. Ultimately, the delivery was delayed due to snow, but he called me at the coffee shop where I was waiting and was apologetic when they couldn't accommodate me, even though it was clearly my mistake. I came back the next day, they did the installation quickly, and it was a perfect job. Thanks! read more

No Advantage. Used a vacation day for a windshield replacement appointment made several days in advance, not an emergency call. Technician arrived in the middle of the appointment time window and provided plenty of notice, very good. Had the wrong windshield even though I had provided all the details of the car during the claim. And the windshield was damaged in the bottom corner. Now I have to wait and hear back when they can come on another day and install the windshield. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE decision. Let me help you... It is 9:50 am, find the correct windshield from another location or the warehouse and complete the install later in the afternoon. If necessary the manager / owner should be putting it in at whatever time is necessary. It is your error. Who is compensating me to use another vacation day?? read more

I came into this experience never dealing with having to replace a windshield. I was referred to this branch via Arbella (my insurance company), after a dump truck kicked up a near golf-ball sized rock to my windshield last week. Within 3 hours of first calling Arbella, my windshield was replaced. Safelite took me right away, explained what needed doing, and were very prompt and courteous. I was actually slightly wary because it seemed "too good to be true", as it were, but no gimmicks, no run-arounds, no hassle, just in and out. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends or family who need a quick fix. read more

DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE They are Vague, Rude, Obnoxious and have Terrible customer service. Placed a claim 10 days ago. Was told I would receive a phone call to schedule my glass installation. Never received a phone call (9 days later). I called the number listed in Google, and to my surprise was tranfered to a Columbus Ohio branch. After explaining my problem they told me they had to transfer me to the Danbury office, in which I was placed on hold for 18 minutes. Once I reached a live person, I was put on hold for another 20 min, before being hung up on. I tried calling back but have only been able to receive a busy signal. I am so happy this didnt happen right before the holiday season...... This place is the absolute worst. If I was the manager I would be absolutely embarrased that my office can not handle something as basic as calling a customer back who has called multiple times looking for answers. They cant even tell me if my windshield has been ordered, or if its been delivered to the local dealership. read more

Great service. Super fast. My windsheild had broke last Friday, I scheduled for safelite to come between 8am and 12pm Tuesday. I was very happy to be called at 9am and notified the glass technician would arrive to my house in about 40 minutes, sure enough a half hour later he had arrived. I was told the procedure of replacing my windshield and that it would be about an hour. The technician Patrick was very kind and friendly. He got the job done fast and clean. Complete disaster. Very disorganized office. When I arrived for my appointment, they said they had the wrong glass for my car. Rescheduled appointment...and they had the wrong glass that time. Third appointment...said they had the right glass, but instead installed the wrong glass anyway. Impossible to get Safelite to respond or correct this. Not even my insurance company can get them to do this. It's amazing because, auto glass is all they do. It's not like Safelite needs to know how to do anything else. read more

My car was hit by a baseball causing the windshield to be completely shattered. Insurance covered the replacement and they sent me to safelite. They replaced the windshield but we're not able to recalibrate the cameras because my insurance company ordered the aftermarket windshield for my car. These guys were amazing and ordered the original glass right away and as soon as it came in they did the replacement again and were able to recalibrate the cameras this time. The shop in Danbury, CT has a phenomenal staff and I would recommend them to anyone! read more

Dishonest. Geico approved OEM glass. Scheduled appt. Called back to confirm OEM glass, and they were going to use aftermarket. Rescheduled appt for them to order OEM glass. They STILL INSTALLED AFTERMARKET. Called to complain and they claim a distinction between OEM (which they define as meeting the OEM standards) and "dealer" (which is the real OEM). Geico can't help since the work is done, and the checkbox for OEM is filled out in the system. Interesting how the distinction was not clarified when I called twice to ask if the glass was really OEM and would say "Land Rover" on it as it did before.
