I figured that any man who respects his wife that much would not let his mechanics be cruel, belittle, or lie to female customers. The owner and the manager are really nice men. They explain everything they are doing, which shows me that the process need not be a mystery and that they do not assume I know zip about cars. I was even offered a ride home one day when my car would have to stay at the shop over night. I only lived a mile away and was going to walk, but it was almost 100 degrees outside. There are only two things I wish were a little different: I wish the price of the oil change included the shop costs and the waste disposal (but I think doing it the way A-Plus Auto does is normal in the industry) and I wish that using the diagnostic tool didn't cost so much. Places like Auto Zone use a similar tool for free, though it isn't as specific. This also might be normal in the industry, but I always feel funny about a diagnosis tool that costs $50-$60 to use and then find it's a $7 part, for example. Overall, A PLUS!

May 2022 I purchased a vehicle here and I was talked into buying a warranty for $3500 at the time…read moreof purchase. Immediately after taking delivery I noticed there was an alignment issue when driving at highway speeds. This made me question that the car had been gone over thoroughly as the salesperson stated. My next visit was for service on a loose sway bar/ noise when cornering. The service manager informs me that the warranty claim was denied for the amount of $800. I started asking question about the amount he was now trying to charge me and what exactly was getting replaced. He backpedaled and lowered the amount for what turned out to be replacing the $100 end links. No wonder the warranty claim was denied. The following visit/ last visit. I bring the car in for check engine light. The car needed a drivers side oil control valve. The service manager tells me the warranty claim was denied for $1200 repair. He then informs me the dealership ended business with this warranty company and that they are now not covering claims as a result. He says I should cancel my warranty with them and try to get a refund. For good reason I look into the repair to get my car back on the road and can't understand how a $300 part direct from Subaru that has 4 bolts fastened onto the bottom of the car will cost $1200. I take the car home and purchased the part from Subaru and spent 20 minutes fixing issue completely. They sold me on a warranty and then abused the warranty company by over estimating repair costs which in turn left me with denied claims. I got 0 value out of the $3500 warranty they sold me on and I have now spent several months trying to get an unknown amount back as a refund. Finally just over a month ago I finally found out what that amount will be a measly $1,700 in which I'm still waiting for. If I had read a review like this to go off of I would have never stepped a foot in their door. Take it as you will... my take is they have zero integrity

After a few days later, when I arrived to the shop for my appointment, we talked about my car and I even informed Philo that I had went to another shop (gates... lol) and they quoted me almost $3k to fix my passenger car door. Which, by the way, my passenger side door would not open at all nor would the window go all the way down without making noise. Philo stepped outside and took a look at my car, analyzed it carefully and said, "Yup. I can fix it! And for a better price!" Sure liked the sound of that!! We went back inside and he searched up car parts for my car and gave me an estimated price. However, he said he would do some more searching and send me an accurate estimate through email. Philo took my information and I went on my way. Later that night, he called me and gave me the actual estimated amount and I said, "Let's do it!" (By the way, ALOT cheaper than Gates!!) We set up an appointment, where I'd practically be carless and he sent me the quote through email. I went to Philo's shop the following day and gave him half the deposit! A week later, I took my car to the shop. 3 and a half days later, my car was ready for pick up. (P.s. I was so excited!) When I arrived, he explained to me what they did to my car and how they even cleaned it as well! (I appreciated that so much!) He handed me my keys, I gave him the other half of the money and went on about my business. I opened my passenger car door and had such a relief that I could finally open the door again. It almost looks brand new! They did an absolute great job!! I absolutely loved how Philo was very knowledgeable, caring, and always replied to me in a timely manner when I had questions! I 100% recommend Philo's Body Shop! They were overall amazing! Unfortunately, I only have photos after they fixed it. But trust me when I say this... that passenger side door would not open!
