Based on this experience, I would not recommend doing business with him. I would not recommend buying a battery from this guy or having him install it. When the battery failed after only three months, it should have been replaced for free under warranty. However, because Scotty purchased it under his account, Advance Auto wouldn't replace it for me. Even though I had already removed the bad battery myself, he still tried to charge me $122 just to install the replacement. Portage Rd Went in for an oil change after scheduling an appointment online. Waiting for oil…read morechange, was told I needed brakes as I only had a small amount of pad left. Ended up with new rotors added with pads due to that's the policy. New oil filter gasket out of the box said was faulty and had to replace it. There for 3 hours. Next day, oil leaking out of Jeep. Back to Belle and found out oil housing damaged. Would not hold oil and needed to be replaced. This took another 3-1/2 hours to repair. Told by the assistant manager he was going to dig into what happened during these two encounters and would call me TODAY 3/27/25. He promised they would make it right. I've yet to hear from anyone. I'll never trust Belle Tire and won't ever go back. $505 for a botched oil change, rotors I probably didn't need and 7+ hours of my life I will never get back.

In this freezing weather, my car would not start today and I was uncertain if it might be the…read morealternator or the battery, though the battery is almost new. I took it to Jiffy Lube at 4425 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN (near 20 bypass) for free testing of the alternator and battery, and the service couldn't have been better or friendlier! The assistant manager, Fred, was very kind and explained exactly what they found or did not find. He and the other two employees discussed with me what might be causing the issue--a loose bolt on the negative terminal of the battery. It turned out it was neither my battery or the alternator, but apparently, this loose bolt, which was actually stripped--which Fred showed me. Fred installed the new part and my car started perfectly. He restarted it again to be sure. All in all, I was in the shop maybe half an hour at most, and it only cost $10! I highly recommend taking your car in to this Jiffy Lube and having these gentlemen take care of whatever basic automotive needs you might have!
