Bryan is the most honest mechanic I have ever found Davis. I had some issues with my door and took it to several other mechanics and they looked at it and quoted me a $400 for a bunch of new parts not including labor. I took it over to Bryan he said he wanted to see what's up so he proceeded in taking my door apart to see the issue and if he could fix it. Turns out he could however he needed the parts which cost $250 I still thought it was too expensive and so did he so Bryan went out of his way and looked for some cheaper part that would fit my budget and low and behold he found the same parts that the other guys quoted me $400 for and he found new for $250 for a much easier on the wallet $80. Including labor it came out to $180. This guy is a boss and I totally recommend him with auto body work. read more

A tree branch broke and scratched up my car in a recent wind storm (trust me it looked bad). Bryan took a look then immediately drove my car into the shop and buffed a portion back to like new. He mentioned he got the worst of it out and referred me to the Carwash/Detail center next door to do the rest. What I thought was going to be an expensive paint job is turning out to be a quick painless fix. Hats off to A-1 for the great service. It is good to find an honest mechanic. Fantastic place. We brought our car here after it was hit by another car in town. They are honest, reasonable, excellent at repairs, and great communicators. I will absolutely come back if I need another repair. They did a beautiful job repairing our car, and an amazing job navigating all the obstacles that my insurance (GEICO) put in their way. They managed to get discounted new parts when the insurance was budgeting for used parts. They worked around insurance-related delays, and they did everything they could to make it a smooth and reasonable process for us. read more

Hands down the best and most courteous body shop I've ever been to. I brought in my girlfriend's Civic with pretty bad rear passenger door damage. Initially I thought the quote was a little pricey and was worried I would get overcharged (as with most places), but got it done anyways. The work was absolutely flawless, worth every penny, and I was charge exactly as I was quoted. Today, I brought in my BMW with paint from another car on the front bumper. I expected it to need buffing out (and was more than willing to pay for it), but they applied some rubbing compound and got the paint off for me -- and didn't charge anything. Great service! Hopefully I won't need to be back, but will definitely recommend to anyone that needs body work. read more

Cameron quickly provided an estimate and got me scheduled for my repair. It took a few weeks to get in but I took them being busy as confirmation of their reputation for doing excellent work. They communicated with my insurance company for me and my repair was done even faster than I expected. Dee made sure I left with a copy of all the necessary paperwork for my records. Last but not least my truck was spotless inside and out when I picked it up thanks to the complimentary detail. How many business in auto repair do you find with ratings like this? You don't. That's because they are far and few between. Old fashioned customer service that I, for one, notice and appreciate. Mine was not the smoothest repair they ever had as things were not as first seemed (not their fault in the slightest). Brian, Dee and Cameron all were very honest (so nice to have), upfront, professional and just downright pleasant to deal with. And the work is second to none. Very impressed. They did exactly what I wanted them to do. Return my car to me as it was before I messed it up lol. If they are too busy to get your car in right away and you have the option to wait? Wait! Brian kept it simple, straightforward and honest. This was the 3rd place I took my car to, which only needed a few basic repairs, and I was relieved to finally find someone who would do what I asked, no more or less and no scare tactics. The work was done 2-10 times faster than the other two places could do and at less than half the price. Couldn't recommend this place any more. GO HERE BEFORE YOU GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I went to a different "5 star" Body Shop in Davis where they made me make an appointment to get an estimate, only to 4 days later be quoted at $782 for some scuffs/scratches on my hood. I Immediately headed to A-1 where Dee checked out my car immediately and told me that Brian could easily buff out the scratches.... I left my keys, came back a few hours later and my car looked absolutely perfect (and I mean perfect, I'm a perfectionist and spent 5 minutes trying to find any traces of the damage and couldn't). To top it off Brian had washed my entire car, which was actually fairly dirty. I almost felt bad paying only $40 for such a great experience, but it's clear that this business is not one that just cares about taking your money. This is the best place around to get your car fixed! I took a car there based on the positive reviews I had read and everything that I had read was true. I needed a touch-up job done that day and although Brian originally said he was all booked for that day, I explained my situation and he said he'd fit me in that day. When I returned to pick up the car, the price was cheaper than the original estimate but they ended up not charging me for it. The people there are some of the nicest people you will find and I will never forget their kindness. They aim to do an honest job the best the can and charge you a fair price for it. I went to A1 after damaging the front of my car and am very glad I did. Cameron was very honest and helpful and kept me informed all through the process. He went out of his way to find a new hood that looked good and that I was happy with. They were able to fit me in earlier than expected and took less than 3 days to fix all the damage. The owner talked me through the repairs and test drove my car before signing off. By the end I felt like they cared about my car as much as I do. They also came in way lower than other estimates. Great family owned business with friendly and professional service. I used them to fix a deep scratch caused by myself and didn't wish to use my insurance coverage. I took my BMW to A-1 for an estimate on some minor fender damage. The estimate was HALF what the BMW collision Center in Sacramento quoted. After reading the great reviews about Brian & his staff, I decided to take my chances. I'm extremely happy with the results. My car looks like it just came off the assembly line!
