    Initially I thought it was all good but... I brought my car…read moreto this shop in May after being sideswiped on the front driver-side. The repairs were supposed to be both body and mechanical work. Body work was fine but for mechanical I was specifically told that an OEM front headlight would be installed. As soon as I got my car back, multiple warning and light codes (about seven) immediately appeared on my dashboard, which had never happened before the accident or after the accident (before I gave it to this shop). I contacted the Lindstrom again and brought the car back in. they told me "I had my technician diagnose the headlamp issue. We're thinking it's a faulty headlamp. None of the codes indicate an issue with anything else except for the lamp. It's an aftermarket headlamp so I'm ordering a brand new lamp from Honda." They told me they had only seen this issue once before on an Acura (Honda's sister car) and said the solution was to replace the headlight with an OEM part. Which was confusing, since that is what they claimed they would install when I talked to them in person in the first place. After picking the car up again, the exact same warning lights came back on...I returned again, at that point they told me "It sounds like they recommend replacing the ABS Modulator to fix the issue." and suggested I must've braked too hard, causing the issue. This made no sense, I was driving under 20 mph in front of an elementary school when I was hit, and there was no hard braking involved. They then told me if not that it is the computer part and alone would cost over $800 and that I would need to either pay out of pocket or deal with my insurance. The insurance said I would need to pay for a diagnostic out of pocket to determine whose fault it was. A diagnostic only shows what is wrong NOT what caused the problem. I was not willing to pay out of pocket for an issue that clearly appeared after the repair work. Also looking into this part myself I tried to remove the screws but every single screw was stripped so I can't even get it off myself. To make matters worse, when I inspected the car myself, I found the front fender liner was missing entirely, something that should have put back on during the repairs. Overall, this experience was very frustrating lasting from May up to July and the problems of my car still occurring currently. The problem was never resolved, responsibility was repeatedly shifted away from the shop. The quality and completeness of the repair is questionable. I would not recommend this shop based on my experience.

    Took our 4Runner here. AAA approved. They get one star for being (nice)... BUT OMG…read more. Made my claim through AAA.. AAA gave me Kergel as an approved AAA autobody repair shop. Scheduled our car.. Took it in, got the quote.. everything approved.. Dropped off car, (had to schedule my own rental BTW) Got the car back and YIKES. 2016 4RUNNER.. the rear passenger door was the focal point of repairs.. It was a completely different color, and didn't align with the body of the vehicle.. (hum) okay? We mentioned "there is an orange peal" texture to where the body work was done.. the repairs were NOT buffed out and there was NO clear applied to the new door.. K?? They proceed to tell US that they have to put in another claim? UM, OMG.. what? ok? All that happens, and then.. we get a call from Kergal to say the (new) claim was denied from AAA.. UM? nope.. We call AAA directly and ask why wasn't the body work done correctly in the first place IF this is an approved AAA guaranteed body shop? AAA took over quickly.. apologies SO.. no (2nd) claim should have been requested.. and we finally took our car to the Toyota Dealership - body shop in Elk Grove for the repairs from Kergal and the accident. The Toyota dealership said the magnets wouldn't even stick to the NEW repaired area.. THE BONDO was SOoooooo thick. They had to replace the NEW quarter panel, as a result from the horrible weld job from Kergel. It's been a nightmare.. but I'm thankful for AAA and Toyota Dealership-Body Shop.

    After being directed to Kergel's by State Farm, we waited until all parts were ordered and onsite…read more We delivered the car and was told it would be a two week turn around. I had questions about that being there was only 31 hours on the proposal... however, I figured there would be wait time after painting, etc. After two weeks we called and asked about the car... we were told it would be another week. Three weeks later... another week. Four weeks later... another week. After 4.5 weeks the car was ready. When asked about the four and a half weeks to do 38 hours of work, we were told they had other work scheduled and "it is what it is". Every time we asked or talked about how we were impacted by this delay, the answer was always "it is what it is." Basically, take it or leave it. His attitude lacked ANY compassion for how much we had to pay for a rental car for extra time or the fact that we turned in the rental, based on their three week estimate, because we couldn't afford it any longer and we fully expected their revised estimate to be accurate. Essentially leaving us without a car. Hopefully your will think twice before going to Kergel Auto Body. There's plenty of reputable body shops out there. Don't make the same mistake we did by just assuming that they could make a reasonable estimate and then find out their estimating process is so flawed they were unable to meet their own target 3 times.
