we bought a rheem water heater from home depot and it was defective. filed a case# with rheem and they contacted collier to come out to replace it. jacob did a great job: on time, careful, proficient at the job, just a great experience. basically took 2 hours to swap it out and that included us going to home depot to get the new replacement unit. definitely recommend collier and jacob for your water heater and plumbing needs. 5 stars. read more

We had used this company twice before with good results so when our shower and toilet started leaking we called them. A young man came and literally we heard several loud bangs and then he came out with a shower piece and said he didn't know what the piece was and he called his boss and told us his boss didn't know what the piece was. Our water was turned off because it was shooting water everywhere. I told him he had to fix it because we needed our water on so he capped it off and told us it was going to be $ 650 to fix and they would have to bust thru our wall to fix it so we would need a plaster person also. Then he told us the toilet needed a new flapper so he put that in and flushed the toilet about 50 times and it was still leaking. And then he said I have to charge you!! He charged me 100 to break my shower and not fix my toilet. By this time I knew this kid didn't have a clue what he was doing so I paid it which I now regret but I wanted him out of my house. Post note: the next day a different plumber came and HAD THE SHOWER PART IN HIS TRUCK ! He said it was a standard Moen part. And that the flapper the kid put on was the wrong flapper! Back in January of 2016, I called Collier Plumbing because they were they were the only ones, locally, who work on Tank less Water Heater. I had a Bousch unit. (POC). John and his crew worked on it all day to no avail. Everyone was very professional, upfront, and courteous. After working on the unit all day, he came to the conclusion that a new unit, one that he recommends and works on, (RHEEM), is what I should do next. If you want a company that has great response time and honest quotes, then this is who you want! My 9yo water heater pilot light had gone out and it wouldn't stay lit. We called a company based on Yelp reviews, they came out and basically said he didn't have any parts IF the thermo coupler was the problem. Otherwise we might have to replace the whole thing... got quoted at $350 to fix and up to $2200 to replace the whole unit. I said NO WAY...BYE! I called Collier and they were out within 2 hours and the technician, Austin, determined within a minute that it was the thermo coupler and he replaced it... within 15 minutes! They were very great and helpful. And solve my problem very fast ( my water heater was leaking water and I had to change it to a new one). They were really polite and helpful on the phone. I called them around 3 pm and they told me since they only work till 4 pm they cannot send any help for me for the same day, but they can send someone the next day in the morning at 10 am. On both occasions, Jacob came to my home and successfully got me back up an running. We had issues with our water heater over the weekend and reached out to Collier on referral from a neighbor that had experienced similar issues with their water heater. We are very happy with their prompt response and service. Jacob is the technician who was assigned to our issue and he resolved it in minutes. We had hot water within an hour. Jacob was familiar with our heater and was very professional in diagnosing the issue and fixing it. We liked the fact that he was very honest in sharing his opinions, did not trash the brand of the heater, or tried to sell us on getting another brand new heater. The warrantied replacement part was located and a service technician was at my house at 1:15. The part was replaced and I had hot water by 2:30. Less than six hours from first call to completed project. Beat that. Colliers worked with my warranty making the repair 100% hassle-free. I will ONLY deal with this company from now on. Called 1 week ago to request a quote for installing a water conditioning system. I got a quote, confirmed it twice, and purchased the system. When it arrived, I called back to schedule an appointment to install it. When I asked about the installation quote I was given before, the dispatch person started laughing at me and said they don't sell anything at that price. I asked if he remembered speaking with me when I got the original quote, and he just continued to laugh. When I asked for an updated quote, he told me to go F myself and hung up. At first I thought this was accidental, so I called back and politely requested an updated quote for installation again, he repeated the exact same profanity and hung up on me. Based on similar reviews below, this behavior seems to be a pattern. I informed the water conditioning OEM and they will be taking this business off their recommended installer list. Updated to respond to the owner's feedback below: I had absolutely no issue paying more for the installation, there was obviously a miscommunication and I was looking for an updated quote and happy to pay more. I was confused why I was given the wrong information, but clearly stated I just wanted to know what the updated price would be. However, I was told to "go F myself" when I asked for this information. I have a witness to the call who was listening in and screenshots of the call log. This is not a review about "bait and switch" on pricing, this is a review about the way you speak to customers, which according to other customer reviews, appears to be something of a trend. read more

He was really good at seeing that we recently had the inside remodeled and created a way to re-pipe without damaging the new work. I am very happy with the outcome and the service. I owe Collier Plumbing a vote of thanks. It turns out the contractor that installed my tankless hot water system as a part of other new construction on our property several years ago didn't know to install a valve system to service the unit. I recently learned these units should be serviced yearly in order to prevent mineral buildup and extend their life. I started looking for someone to service the unit and, because it is a natural gas unit, called both HVAC companies and plumbers. The first company I called, which shall remain nameless, quoted me $945 to add valves and flush the system. I panicked. On top of that, they tried to tell me I really need an additional filtration system for another $650. This really scared me. I called the manufacturer, Rheem. After talking to a very helpful Rheem tech, he said I did not need a filtration system, all I needed was a plumber to install the valves and service the system. He gave me a list of recommended plumbers. I started calling and found Collier. John was very straightforward and gave me a great price, in fact the best price of any of the companies on the list. He knew exactly what I needed, described exactly the procedure the manufacturer had described, and scheduled the work. Collier has installed and serviced many hundreds, if not thousands of these systems, an accomplishment as these tankless systems are relatively new in the U.S., though common in Europe and Asia. Austin, the polite and efficient tech, came right when he said he would and was done in an hour. All this, plus honesty, for less than 1/5 of the first quote of $1595. Thank you Collier. Another five-star fan here and one sure to do business with Collier again whenever I have plumbing needs. My new water heater was leaking gas and carbon monoxide which led me to have to call the gas company out at 2am for an inspection. Long story short, I had a propane water heater installed instead of a natural gas water heater and because I was pumping nat gas through it the warranty was voided. To replace it with a new one (and eat the cost of the propane tank that was recently installed) definitely had me a bit distraught. Long story short, Tim, the owner of Collier plumbing, was able to essentially convert the water heater to natural gas saving me well over a $1000 that I didn't have! Tim has been at this a long time and it shows in his work. He's knowledgable and competent and able to think creatively to find solutions where others can't. read more

The guy at Genarro's was upset (actually used foul language) that I called 3 times trying to get an estimate on when they could get out here. He said he is backed up 2 weeks and that Rheem must have lied to me about getting someone out today to fix the problem. I called Rheem back and they contacted Collier. My energy efficient water heater was damaged by an SCE transformer short circuit which fried the electronics on the gas heater rendering it useless. I contacted Collier Plumbing and they dispatched a technician named Cameron who did yeoman work to get us up and running. When the manufacturer of the water heater informed us they did not have replacement parts, Cameron arranged to have the dead water heater exchanged for a new one, and on a Sunday, yet. Cameron went above and beyond in helping us get hot water back and is our hero. I was scheduled an appointment for a water heater replacement on 1/11 between 9am-11am and no plumber has showed up nor there was any contact information given to me in this type of circumstances... I've contacted two numbers that was given to me and they all just go to voice mail.....I've even contacted had Rheem company to have them contact the plumber and no answer I am again going another weekend with out any hot water. So if you don't mind paying a premium for piece of mind, this is your place. Only complaint is the office closes at 4:30pm weekday and they don't do Saturdays. If it was possible to give Collier a lower review I WOULD!! THIS COMPANY LEFT US WITH AN INOPERABLE WATER HEATER and never returned to fix the problem they made worse. I was referred to Collier by Rheeem, the water heater manufacturer, after my heater went bad on me after only a year. Collier dispatched their plumber. The plumber was pleasant enough and after inspecting the heater stated that it needed to be replaced and they would be back the following day at noon to make the repair. That was the last I heard of them for about a week. What made it worse is that their plumber only exacerbated the problems with our heater with whatever he did. I went from having a minor leak to having a major one thanks to Collier. When they didn't show, I left several messages on their voice mail but did not get a call back explaining why their plumber had not come out as I was told they would. When I finally hear from them, almost a week later, things did not get any better as their office "manger", Courtney, was extremely rude on the phone and would not explain why nobody called me to explain what was going on. Needless to say, I called Rheem after my infuriating call with Courtney and let them know that I no longer wished to work with such an unreliable, unprofessional company that employes such rude employees. She even tried telling me that the plumber should have never given me a time that they would come out. Of course she would try to pass the buck and blame another employee. I would have been content with an apology and promise to get this job done but unfortunately this is not how Collier Plumbing operates and for this reason they will never again get my business and I recommend that anyone else looking for a plumber, LOOK ELSEWHERE. Do not call this company. I called last Thursday Feb 7 2019 to set up an appointment for today Feb 12, 2018. We set up a time and date. They failed to show up. Their appointment "clerk" failed to take responsibility stating it was set up for tomorrow, however had a erroneous address and city.. so disgusted. Needed to call another plumber. I spoke with Norma over a week ago about the issue we were having with our water heater and she quoted me prices on what the job would cost depending on what the problem turned out to be. She even gave me the number for the manufacturer to see if the appliance was still under warranty (which it wasn't).
