Chicken parm
Christine Y.

Beautiful restaurant, prompt, attentive service. Great selection of wines. I tried the chicken Parmesan and their meatballs for which I'd read great reviews. The meatballs were nice. Interesting sausage, beef and spice combination. The chicken Parmesan and accompanying spaghetti was disappointing. Noodles weren't cooked Al Dente. They were undercooked. Chicken was dry, chewy, and hard to cut. Not sure if it was just an off day in kitchen. My husband had the pork and while the flavor combo was good, the pork was dry and overcooked. I would probably not ever return except perhaps for cocktails.

Decided to try this well decorated restaurant at The Avalon because the food looked so good on pictures. Valet was available right in front of the restaurant and they were efficient. The hostess and waiter were both pleasant. We really enjoyed our drinks and the focaccia as a starter. We were disappointed with our main course though because they both lacked flavor. The presentation was great, but it needed a lot of support. We rarely ask for salt/pepper but we did for this meal. The skin on the trout had an unpleasant burnt taste as well.

Very delightful evening experience celebrating a birthday. Kelsey provided good service and was backed up by the wonderful Destiny who really went above and beyond with special surprises and sincere interaction. We enjoyed the caesar salad (split) with burrata app. Mains were ravioli and rigatoni bolognese - both were delicious and hearty. Dessert was an apple pastry a la mode which was perfect to cap the meal. Overall 5 stars and we will be back. Highly recommend. It was a little noisy at the start with loud music but it got softer so it must have been adjusted.

Brought some work people here and we had a great experience! Beautiful space. Our server was great and attentive. She gave us some recommendations that we definitely went with. We started with the calabrese pizza which was a favorite of everyone's. We also had the prosciutto di Parma and the honeycomb that came with it is soooo good! Nice touch. Beautiful plate. I loved my ravioli - very hearty. Honestly all the pasta looked so good, I don't think you can do wrong. Next time I definitely want to get the squid ink pasta! Definitely recommend you checking this spot out!

Wow... Among the best Pasta Bolognese I've had and easily the best I've had outside of NYC or Italy. The Bolognese here is absolutely to die for and the pasta was prepared al dente, just how I like it. Great charcuterie and meat balls here as well. Rounding out the meal was great service and a warm atmosphere. Might have to visit Atlanta more often.

Wow. Wow. Wow. No place can compete with Colleta! Coco was an excellent server. We had many questions about the menu and she was very happy to answer them. Service like this is rare. I forgot my leftover pizza box inside and she even brought it out the valet lot for me. You cannot find this anywhere and Alpharetta and if you book a table at Colleta, ask for coco! She is the best!

Absolutely fantastic bread - sea salt, warm, soft

This restaurant is just beautiful. Walking in through the big grand doors, I was a little disappointed at how slow and long service was even though they weren't busy but staff were very friendly. It did seem like they were new and being trained. Let's talk food - hands down best bolognese in the area and surrounding towns, my kids kept asking for me. Pizza was very disappointing , burnt bottoms and strong burnt flavor. The calabrese had hot honest which added a nice touch. Plenty of public parking In the area. This would be a great date night spot, and had a nice outdoor closed off area

I love the food at Colletta, and their espresso martinis are probably the best in Alpharetta! I am *very* picky about my espresso martinis. Colletta makes them with real fresh espresso and the perfect foam on top. So if you just stop by the bar for a drink - this is the one to get! We started with the prosciutto di parma, which comes with honeycomb. It's the best appetizer on the menu! When it comes to pasta, I try to stay gluten free. Colletta's gluten free pasta is lovely. I ordered the gluten free CAB bolognese and it was amazing. The sauce is flavorful and thick. My friend ordered the black pepper tagliatelle and said it was also amazing. I couldn't try it because of the gluten, but she said the egg yolk on top made it extra delicious. The restaurant is clean, open, and nicely decorated. They have a cute side-patio for when the weather is nice. We sat inside tonight with a very large group. We had 10 ladies celebrating a birthday. We were seated in the back room, which is a bit more private. Our server and the manager (I think his name was Austin?) were both friendly. They knew we were celebrating a couple birthdays, had had roses on the table for the birthday girls! My one complaint about Colletta is the speed. The kitchen seems to get a bit overwhelmed with larger groups and although our reservation was at 6:30, the food didn't arrive until 8:30. Now, keep in mind we were a big group of 10 women. We had various food allergies and preferences (a gluten allergy, a shellfish allergy, and a vegetarian) at our table. So I know we weren't the easiest group. Even so, two hours to get entrees seemed a bit long. After the meal, they brought us bday cakes for the women celebrating and a special candle. I will be back to Colletta for a date night soon. Can't wait for another espresso martini!

Fungi and Margherita Pizza

We came here for Valentines dinner and loved it. The ambiance was sooooo beautiful, and I was really excited to be there. They even had little roses and candles on the tables for Valentines Day. They start you off with complimentary bread (so toasty!) and olive oil. We then got shrimp scampi to start and two different pizzas, fungi and Margherita, for our entrees. Everything was sooo goood!!!! I really liked the flavors of the shrimp scampi and the flatbread that it came with. The pizzas are a good size. We had a significant amount that we brought home, so we would probably share a pizza and try a pasta next time! They also had some potatoes (side) on the menu that looked really good as well! Can't wait to come back to try! Our server was a little bit slower, but it didn't really make a difference because we were enjoying our time. Food recs: Margherita pizza & Shrimp Scampi

Well, get the word out, this place doesn't need to a secret! It was outstanding from top to bottom! Upon arriving we were warmly greeted by Chris, and then taken great care of by our server, Ryleigh. She was wonderful to guide us through our meal and all of her selections were delicious. We started off with the calamari, then had the crab soup and house salad. For entrees we had the mushroom ravioli and shrimp scampi. Everything was amazing, especially the crab soup and mushroom ravioli. In addition, I didn't care for the ten layer lasagne as there was way too much dough and barely any sauce. More sauce would've helped some but still too much dough. I'd say five layers would provide a similar presentation as the slices do look lovely and the same can be achieved with less layering and more filling and sauce. I will eat in next time to get a better feel for the ambiance! And try something else! I have always loved Crust's menu so I'm sure I'll like more things here too.

We were seated outside, where we noted cheap wine glasses and plastic Coca Cola cups. I asked our waiter if they had filtered water, and his response was not impressive or professional. "Uhh... I mean, well... I think it just tastes like water... I don't know how they filter the water but it's fine." Dude, it's a yes or no question: 'yes, we have a filter for it,' or 'no ma'am, it comes from the tap.' Throughout the service we could tell he was not being attentive or personable, if we said anything off script he didn't know how to react. We ordered the house salad because of how it was described, but when it arrives, we were shocked at the presentation and quality. We told the server about the disappointment of having only four slices of radish on the salad when it was listed as a main ingredient and he did nothing to remedy that. The chef could also consider mixing all of the ingredients together so it is a harmonious marriage of salad, not just arugula with a sprinkle of pine nuts, drizzle of dressing, FOUR radishes and a handful of pre shredded, from the bag Parmesan. The least you could do is hand grate it. Now to the pizza- they are very large and the crust has nice flavor and a good crunch. The Bianca sauce was very heavy and greasy; tasted like it came out of a jar. That was our least favorite item by far. The bbq chicken was decent, however the Gouda cheese they used had a very cow aftertaste, and there were cubes of the cheese all around, which were rubbery and not good to chew. We couldn't tell if the sharp tang came from the tip of bbq sauce they used or some cleaner leftover on the chicken. It's sad, because Crust came recommended highly to us and we were excited to try it out. Overall, our meal was very disagreeable and we will not be back.

The yurt was located on the restaurants patio, and was decorated for Christmas. There were lights and a wreath on the inside, as well as blankets in case it got chilly. There was a flap as the door that looked like it closed, but ever did because waiters were frequently entering. I thought that there would be multiple yurts, but we were the only one. From where I sat, I was in the direct line of vision of another guest outside of the yurt, eating on the patio, which was a little awkward. It was not as private as it seemed. We came for the 6pm time slot, and the guests who were there at 4pm were taking a while so we weren't sat until around 6:30pm. We got lucky with the weather and it wasn't cold, but I could see that being a point of concern very quickly. As previously mentioned, they do provide blankets. We started with the Charcuterie board, and it was exceptional. It says on the menu that it feeds two, but I think it could feed three if you're not starving. There was one cheese that was in a coating of what seemed to be nuts, and that was the star of the show. For the entree, I got the Cacio e Pepe with chicken. The pasta was creamy and very cheesy (!) and there was substantial amount of chicken. I got full about half way through, and took the rest to-go. Although there were some hiccups, this was an enjoyable, novelty dinner, and I would recommend.
