Details: Envision Imaging is conveniently located on Plano Pkwy near Marsh Lane. Gorgeous and sparkling clean medical office building. I had an MRI and CT Scan this week at Envision Imaging. Nurse was professional, a good communicator, friendly, and cheerful. It is wonderful to have a nurse who smiles and can relax a patient. Nurse explained everything in an easy way for me to understand. I appreciate her expertise and her willingness to have short conversations with me. She gently inserted the catheter that was used for contrast dye. She also gently removed the catheter after the procedures were complete. MRI and CT technicians were also professional and good communicators. They also explained everything ahead of time so I knew what to expect. Two days later I returned to Envision Imaging to pick up my CD-ROM of previous imaging. I also picked up a CD-ROM of the MRI and CT that Envision Imaging performed. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. They quickly provided the 2 CD-ROM that I ask for. Thank you to the entire staff at Envision Imaging on Plano Pwky. We are on a tight timeframe as the surgeon is only available 1 day weekly. Staff was not accommodating and did not have answers to why authorization was not followed up on. In addition, they told me that the results would be read immediately for a follow up surgeon appointment 48 hours later, but proceeded to tell my adolescent daughter that it would take 4 days. As a result, she missed valuable practice time and had to wait an additional 9 days to see the surgeon. 1 week after: I had to call, again, 7 days post MRI to get follow up & the final reading. They were not sent or even initiated to be sent.

You can use both entrances, but if you use the parking garage, you have to ring the bell so they let you in. The have a snacks and coffee counter for you to raid when you are done with whatever it is you need. I had imaging with contrast, and so I wasn't supposed to eat before my appointment. I had a coffee and a snack before I left and a little bottle of water. When I had to come back to bring my imaging disc to my referring doctor, it was just a quick call and it was ready for me by the time I came to pick it up on my way,which was about 20 minutes! I am a DCC fan, so it was so cool to see a DCC name in the CT scan room (although unfortunate that she had to get a scan!) Whenever they have athletes in,they can sign the wall. I thought it was neat.

This time, I arrived more than 30 minutes early. At intake I was presented with a few forms to review and sign as well as the expected out-of-pocket expense. They took me back for my imaging after maybe a 5-minute wait in the reception area. I actually was out of there BEFORE my original appointment time! Technicians and staff were friendly and efficient. I had to fill out forms electronically when I arrived but was called back within five minutes upon completing the forms. I changed out of my clothes, wore the provided gown, went into a dark room, had a massive machine take pictures of my breasts, and that was it. I received my results within 3 business days. He was calm, articulate, patient, empathetic to my high state of nervousness, and took time to explain the process to me in detail. He even offered to play music, so I asked to listen to his playlist - and it put me at ease. He slowly numbed the injection site until he could proceed with me being comfortable. I felt a slight pressure - nothing else - no pain at all, it was remarkable. Everyone told me it would be excruciatingly painful. Our first contact there was with Caitlin (she needs a name tag so I can spell her name correctly). She was so very nice to my husband and me, getting me a wheelchair, helping me change and store items in the locker, etc. Most of all, she was kind, professional and made us feel totally comfortable. Then Andre helped me get into position for the scan. He got me a pillow and blanket. Again, he was kind, professional and made me feel totally comfortable. I was prepared for a longer session, but I was out in 15 minutes flat. It was Caitlin who wheeled me outside and helped me into the car when my husband pulled up. Now wishing every health care organization functioned as well as Crown!

My mother is disabled, and instead of treating her with patience and respect, they made an already stressful medical appointment even more difficult. They would not allow me to accompany her to help, despite her needing assistance, and the way they spoke to us was cold and unprofessional. Healthcare staff should understand that many patients are already anxious or vulnerable when they come in. A little kindness goes a long way, but unfortunately that wasn't our experience here. I would not recommend this facility based on the poor customer service and lack of empathy we received.
