There's so much hype around HEYTEA, but now I can see why! I've been wanting to try this popular…read moretea spot, but there's usually a pretty long line. Luckily, the line at this location wasn't too bad. They have an online order system, so even though there was no one in line at the ordering kiosk, lots of orders are coming in. I really enjoyed their Mulberry Boom which has a strong mulberry flavor and even pieces of mulberry fruit inside! Just be careful not to spill, since the color of the mulberry is pretty concentrated and will most likely stain your clothes! The Cloud Coconut Blue is a really pretty layered drink! They use blue spirulina for that vibrant blue color. There's also matcha blended with their original cheese cloud, along with coconut water, coconut milk, and coconut milk jelly. Definitely for coconut lovers! Mango Grapefruit Boom is one of their recommended. It's refreshing, slightly milky, and has a bit of bitterness from the grapefruit. I haven't had a drink like this before, so if was definitely unique! The Grape Boom is a pretty purple color, and you can really taste the grape flavor! Very refreshing. Parking in the lot out front or in the underground parking structure. You can to take the stairs or elevator to get to the second floor where the shop is located. A few seats inside and some tables and chairs outside on their patio as well.

Cloud Coconut Blue (4/10): For how expensive this drink was, it was pretty disappointing. I did not…read morelike the coconut flavor of the drink. The matcha cream added 4 points to the score because it was pretty good, but that was the only good thing about the drink. After mixing the matcha foam in, there was no matcha flavor in the drink. The boba is okay, nothing special to mention though. Cloud Matcha Latter (6/10): There was a nice matcha flavor, but not strong enough. The matcha flavor was not very unique or did not taste very high quality. The original cheese cloud on top was light and tangy, which tasted decent. Coconut Mango Boom (4/10): The drink tasted super watered down with barely any coconut flavor present. The mango was decent, but once the drink was mixed, the mango flavor diminished. I wish the mango flavor was a little stronger. Overall Thoughts: These drinks are definitely not worth how much I paid for it. I wish I got the supreme matcha latte instead of the cloud coconut blue. The drinks were pretty disappointing, and there are many other boba shops with better drinks at fairer price points. There might be a small line to order. The wait time took pretty long. The boba shop itself is very white, lit up, and simple. There are very few seats in the shop, but there are more tables and chairs outside. I expected a lot more from these drinks because they looked so pretty, yummy, and expensive, but it unfortunately did not taste as good as it looks.

Originating from Taiwan, this bubble tea shop is a must-try. I am a huge fan of their Osmanthus…read moreOolong Tea with Mango. It tastes crisp and refreshing and does not taste syrupy at all. Another amazing drink is the Cassia Black Tea with Mousse. The tea itself tastes robust and slightly malty, while the mousse adds a silky and creamy texture that enhances the drink. My husband especially likes the drinks from the Lemon Condensed Milk series. Each cup is freshly brewed to order and has a strong tea base, which is exactly how I like it. This particular location only has one ordering kiosk and only a couple of small tables. It is definitely more of a grab-and-go type of place. The premium tea taste and tea quality here are consistent with other locations I've been to. I like that we can see into the kitchen and watch the drinks being made. If there is a wait, it is all worth it!

I stopped by Chicha San Chen after hearing about its award-winning reputation, but unfortunately,…read morethe experience fell well short of the hype. The shop itself was clean and filled with a pleasant tea aroma that created a welcoming first impression. Service was average, with nothing particularly memorable about the visit. Considering the relatively small size of the drinks, paying over $8 per drink felt difficult to justify. **Green Tea with Boba: 2.5/5** For a tea shop renowned for its freshly brewed-to-order teas, this drink was surprisingly lackluster. It tasted noticeably watered down and had very little of the fresh, fragrant jasmine tea flavor I was expecting. The chewy boba was the highlight, offering a pleasant texture with just the right amount of sweetness, but it couldn't salvage an otherwise disappointing drink. **High Mountain Pouchong Tea: 1/5** This drink was an even bigger letdown. Like the green tea, it tasted diluted and lacked the floral depth and complexity that a high mountain pouchong tea should offer. An unusually artificial, creamy, sweet aftertaste also lingered after each sip, further detracting from the overall flavor. Overall, the drinks lacked the bold, distinctive tea flavor I'd expect from an award-winning tea house. Considering the premium prices and relatively small drink sizes, the quality ultimately didn't justify the cost. There are simply too many better bubble tea shops at this price point, and I don't see myself returning.
