I had the steak sandwich. It was pretty good. The server was great and she was on top of our refills. She came back a few times to make sure we had everything we needed and that our meals were as we ordered. We will definitely return when we're in Watertown again. read more

I came to colemans after not being there for awhile. I was excited to have the corned beef. It wasnt corned beef. It was a syrupy pot roast, at best. The vegetables were great! Tender carrots, potatoes, and cabbage. I don't know if the recipe has changed... or the cook just didn't know what he was doing. Either way, it wasn't corned beef. The bloody mary I ordered was wonderful! The service was great as well... hostess, server, and the manager. It just wasnt corned beef. read more

My husband and I stopped here for lunch. The restaurant was absolutely adorable and the perfect first stop on our Honeymoon :) I had the whiskey burger and my husband had the chicken sandwich. Both were amazing and the service was phenomenal! read more

Ah Coleman's. Part of one of the two great Watertown Restaurant Empires. It's actually very nice inside - they must've redone it recently. The menu has it's Irishy-bits, but it's actually a pretty good selection of food too. The salads are upscale, the Philly is absolutely enormous, the burgers tasty and the shepherd's pie delicious. Of the non-Italian restaurants of Watertown, definitely stuck out. The waitresses were also generally friendly the couple times I've eaten there, though it was a bit depressing that one didn't know the difference between an black-and-tan and a half-and-half. Overall a very good meal! read more

I love it here! Since my friends and I love Irish food we decided to give this place a try...soooo glad we did. Their service is amazing, they make great mixed drinks, and have a great selection of good food. I love their fries, (chips, really). I was disappointed that they were out if the Irish Beef stew the day that I went, but will be going back to try it. Also, I really love the 3 course Irish Dinner.. (3 draft beers and a side of fries.) Great time there! May become my regular dinner spot. read more

Great Irish food!! Friendly service, tvs everywhere for football. I posted a pic of our appetizer and the pile of potato "chips". It was amazing. Food was great, tasted really fresh. My wife loved her salad, really good flavor with everything they add. We look forward to going back soon. read more

Coleman's Corner - Irish nachos!! Make sure you have 4 or more to help with this! Very good too! - Pubs Near Me - Watertown, New York

Excellent interior since they've redone it. Nice mahogany throughout. More of a local bar so it's usually pretty quiet. Service is good. read more

Coleman's Corner - Pubs Near Me - Watertown, New York

Reasonable prices for meals and drinks, nice atmosphere for a meal with family and friends. Highly recommend the shepard's pie

Amazing hidden gem in Watertown. Impressive wooden bar. Extremely friendly host and waitress. Not super impressed with scallops meal but probably not the thing to order at an Irish place. Coleman fries and gravy are delicious. Great beer selection. Live all the TVs for watching sports. Having been to Dublin, we were super impressed by this Irish bar ... Especially for being in Watertown. We definitely will return. read more

My boyfriend and I were on a weekend getaway in Watertown, NY and decided to try our luck at Coleman's Corner. The food is surprisingly solid for a small town restaurant. The waitress was friendly but always seemed in a hurry, which is fine but doesn't really portray a very welcoming atmosphere for diners. For apps we had the mussels in broth. The portion was surprisingly big for the price we paid! Definitely would not have gotten that much food for the price in Rochester. The mussels were tasty and not too chewy. the broth was ok, a little bland in my opinion. The app did come with a really good slice of garlic bread, so moist and fragrant. My bf got the corn beef plate. Again, the portion is huge! Great value for your money. The beef was moist, a little too salty for me, but was flavorful. The dish came with soft cabbage and baby carrots. I had the beef stew. It came in a seemingly small soup pot, but trust me they really pour it on that it was semi-overflowing. The flavor was disappointing. The beef had an unpleasant scent to me. My bf suggested pepper which helped tremendously but I did not eat much of it. Overall a decent casual restaurant. Would love to try one of their burgers after seeing the next table order it. read more

I've gotta give Coleman's five stars. Each of the handful of times I've patronized this pub, I've left more than fat and happy. Everything I've ever ordered, from steak and shepherd's pie, to steamed clams and salads, has been delectable, and the presentation noteworthy. THE SHEPHERD'S PIE IS PERFECT! ...I dream of Coleman's Shepherd's Pie, actually. This pub is superbly kept, clean, and family-friendly. The food and service seem more the focus at Coleman's, rather than it's function as a watering hole. I love this place! read more

Irish nachos. Enough said. This place is always very clean and the servers are so friendly. Definitely a staple place in Watertown! read more

Had the pleasure of eating at Coleman's for the first time. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Like all the dark wood. Started out with mussels in a Guinness cream sauce. Two dozen mussels in a sauce with lots of flavor. Served with a tasty garlic bread that was great for dipping. I had an Irish BLT. The bacon was Irish bacon. Plenty of bacon fried nicely. The sauce on the sandwich was different but very tasty. Came with a side of Irish fries, sliced potatoes. They served that with a side of gravy that was just right. My wife had shepherd's pie that was in her words "Yummy". She thought it was one of the best she has ever had. This was also served with the tasty garlic bread. All the portions where more than adequate. Then as if we hadn't had enough we each had a homemade dessert. I had a cappuccino cheesecake and she had a Toll House Cookie pie that was in a real pie crust. All in all a great meal with prices that where more than fair. We had Katherine as our waitress guiding us through the meal with knowledgeable comments all evening and pleasant conversation. She was the topping to a wonderful experience. We will be going back soon. read more

Took my family to Coleman Corner tonight and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is inviting. I love the dark wood finishes. All of the food for my family was good, from salads to sandwiches to steaks. I had the bangers & mash and really enjoyed it. The servings are larger than expected, but still tasty. We also ordered a few appetizers, and I really enjoyed the Irish nachos. The bartender was up to grade also. All in all, it was a great evening and a great meal with excellent service. read more

So while it was good my onion soup was cold. I could have sent it back but figured eh. My tuna carpaccio was very good. I recommend it to people who enjoy tuna. The server I had was sweet, Brittany. Overall the price was reasonable for what I got. Yum read more

I totally did not expect such a nice Irish themed pub. I loved the set up. The Shepard's Pie was excellent and the Parmesan garlic wings were delicious. I will definitely go back. Our server was friendly and great on suggesting food. The IPA beer that I had was really good! And I got a free beer too because the gave me the wrong beer at first. read more

Better than average Irish pub. Great food and atmosphere. Prices are a little above average for this area. Love the remodel and decorating.

Coleman's food is really just average. There is nothing I've ever had there that has stuck out in my mind as truly delicious. The fries(chips) dipped in gravy are pretty good but that's all that comes to mind when I think of the place. Depending on who is bar tending you may get friendly service or you may get someone who seems like the don't want to wait on you. The younger bartenders are great but there is one older bartender who acts like everything you ask for is painful, even if it's just a draft beer. Before the remodeled they used to fry them grill their wings. Personally this is my favorite way to eat wings. The last time I ordered I asked them to be made that way and got a blank stare from, you guessed it, the older bartender. I go there maybe once a year if a friend wants to go but other than that I'd choose Fairgrounds over Coleman's any day. They are owned by the same family but Fairgrounds menu and staff are much better. read more

Definitely one of the better restaurants in the Watertown area, although its close enough to some hotels that out-of-towners might come in with big expectations and be disappointed. Look, it's not a big city, alright? If you're from Manhattan or whatnot, just keep in mind that the house wine is INGLENOOK for only $4.50 a glass with generous pours, and wash your criticism down with that. Seafood dishes are a particular specialty here, with very authentic fish'n'chips (the appetizer portion will be enough food for most people), some hearty chowders, and my personal favorite, the scallops, sold either as an entree or as a salad topping. A whole page of the menu is devoted to sandwiches, but honestly I'd avoid them, as they're pretty much the same sandwiches you can get at any Coleman family restaurant, which is like half of them in Watertown. The decor and ambience are pretty much the best you're gonna get in Watertown, despite the bar atmosphere. Service is usually super friendly and attentive. I've never had a bad experience, but on the other hand I am Irish. A previous reviewer reported bad treatment and suspected it was due to being non-white, and yeah, unfortunately I could believe that, though I very much doubt it's unique to Colemans Corner. read more

Long wait but it was worth the wait!! Great food, beer selection and service wasn't bad. Try the Harvest Salad... Soooo delish! read more

Coleman's Corner - The decor is fitting, love the ceiling! - Pubs Near Me - Watertown, New York

Love the food.. great place to stop and grab a drink and appetizers with friends. My favorite place to go after a day of Christmas shopping.

This is my first review I have ever done, I actually had to write a review about how spectacular I thought this pub was. The bartender was extremely friendly, the place was very clean. I went in around 4PM during the day, the bathrooms were very clean and had a pleasant smell. I got the prime rib sandwich and let me tell you, it was out of this world. Probably best prime rib I've ever had in my life, it was a special of the day and am I glad to have tried it. If I am ever back in the Watertown area, I know where I have to go again. Probably would rate this as one my top, if not the best, tavern experiences! read more

I cant say enuf about this pub Starting with a nice cold glass of yuengling beer with a perfect head on it Supernice bartender knows how to make you feel at home Ordered take out irish trio and we split it lots of food Corned beef was out of this world awesome I hate most but did give hubby a taste The only thing that disappointed me was the bangers no spice at all Prices were very good All in all do not pass this place up its a diamond Cant wait to go back read more

First off, place is small. I'm sure there is a wait during peak times. Nice atmosphere, typical Irish pub feel. Prices were very reasonable. We had a huge stuffed mushroom and their version of nachos. The mushroom was not your typical 5 little things on a plate. It was a giant portobello with all the trimmings on top, Excellent!!!! Their version of nachos was their circular fries topped with the regular nacho stuff, cheese, peppers etc. Can't pick at it with your hands needed a fork to get anything off the huge plate. Wife had Shepard pie and she said it was great. My table also had fish and chips that appeared to be very large portions of fish. I had the ribeye. The mash was good and I liked how the steak was sitting on some bread. Only complaint was that it was a little dry and not ax juicy as other ribeye I have had. Overall I would come back in a heart beat. read more

Headed back from vacation in Lake placid, we found this little gem. Immediately you could tell the owners cared about the place which was clean and friendly. Our waitress Ashley was perfect . Order was correct and water stayed filled. The food was phenomenal . My appetizer was stuffed portobello mushroom which was like a giant warm salad. Delish! Our lunch was Bangers and mash and burgers with Irish fries (think gravy). Portions spot on. We sat in the patio and enjoyed it. Worth the 3/4 mile off I-81 read more

There are few other restaurants in this area that defy the odds and produce consistently delicious meals. We absolutely love the Irish Nachos. OMG, they are really delicious. I love the patty melt (rare is perfect) and always go home with half of it because the servings are generous. The salads are crazy delicious and once again, absolutely so big for one person so always go home with extra. The service is excellent and these servers know how to balance a busy shift without forgetting you're waiting to order. Simply delicious all around. Highly recommended!!! read more

Lol, no. Just no. This whole place is disgusting. The waitresses are even worse than the food.

This place has a great Irish pub atmosphere, good service, descent drinks, and very good wings (get the Guinness Gold sauce, it's the best wing sauce I've ever had). I have eaten here many times, in fact it was one of the first restaurants that I tried when moving to this area. Many of the food items on the menu are delectable and will leave you satisfied. However, two nights ago, I had something different. I had some of their game-changing Corned Beef. It was one of the best meals, I have gone out to eat in years and that is not hyperbole. Before I leave, I will ensure that I order it again and that I recommend it to others. read more

It seems If your not white or Irish or look like you belong they may not serve you immediately or treat you like other customers. Me n my husband went in to taste the food because we heard it was amazing but because we are both mixed and Asian we didn't look like we belonged. No one seated us for ten minutes and staff just stared. We got a horrible seat where the light shined glaring into my face. The only thing that saved us was a waiter that took over our table. She was very friendly. But most of the girls there just didn't seem to care about our business and I made me feel unwelcomed. It's unprofessional. read more
