Food is fantastic! I love her home made corned beef hash & eggs. It is a must try destination

Coleen never disappoints! We moved from the Brockport area 7 years ago and one of the things we miss most is going to Coleen's Kitchen. We have yet to find a breakfast sandwich or home fries that even begin to compare to Coleen's so we visit whenever we are in town. The fact she does everything herself makes the experience even more amazing. Thank you, Coleen, for another delicious meal! read more

Coleen's Kitchen - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Brockport, New York

My fiancé & I used to visit Coleens as college students, it was our special hidden gem in a sea of diners in the area - we couldn't resist making another visit when we passed through today! Omg, everyone - stop your search and just visit! Coleens is truly phenomenal. Fun fact - Coleens is a one woman show that's been around for about 20 years now - she's the greeter, the server && amazing, amazing cook. She makes the bagels, bread & everything with TLC - so much love. Be kind & call ahead, it gets so busy and a little heads up goes a long way! We love the artwork and common sense rules - Coleens is such a treasure. Sam ordered the veggie bowl & I ordered the breakfast sandwich on her homemade everything bagel w a side of homefries. Try her homemade flavorful hot sauce! (If we could fit more food in we would've squeezed in the biscuits & gravy && the French toast - next time, next time!) Support your local businesses!! Thank you Coleen (: read more

It's a little hole-in-the-wall diner that only serves breakfast, and there's one person doing all the work. Having said that, it's a job well done. All the food is made fresh in-house, including all bread products and the corned beef hash. She has weekly pancake specials (one pancake is the size of the plate, nobody has ever eaten more than 2) and she serves them with REAL maple syrup. Today I had the challah bread French toast, which was homemade, dusted with powdered sugar, 2 inches thick and fabulous. It's best to call ahead to make sure she has space; she has 5 small booths and a counter. Also, as the attached rules say, she only takes cash, Venmo or PayPal. Coleen herself can be a bit high-strung at times, but she's a hard worker who cares about quality and a good experience for her customers. If you need a reminder about the rules, they're on a t shirt you can buy! Overall, a fabulous experience and amazing flavor. read more

This is a very local place that has been a local diner for over 50 years with the current owner celebrating 17 years in January of 2001 This is a wonderful little place with a counter, a few booths and the grill insight The owner gets there early like 4am every day to make the fresh breads and bagels which are wonderful This is a very local place with self service coffee and a standard menu with daily features hand written on the chalk board Highly recommend if you are looking for an authentic local breakfast for about $5 a person or so read more

Absolutely the best breakfast ever! Everything is home made, and it's so no nonsense that it's refreshing. Make sure you read "the rules". If they don't make you smile, you have no sense of humor. read more

I can respect a business that follows through on their expectations of their business model and clientele. At Coleen's kitchen, you see that right on the cover of their menu: profanity, loud noises (and children), and cell phone ringtones are not tolerated. On the other side of that coin, Coleen herself enforces these rules and backs up her quality through her great service and food. It took me a little while one morning to realize that I was being served by Coleen herself. Her sassy and quick witted responses reflect the amusing decor that I noticed while eating. Also, she knew every patron's name that came through the door. I know Brockport isn't a large town but I was really impressed by that. Lastly, she handled seating, taking orders, and also cooking the food with grace and efficiency. You can definitely see the pride and sweat equity involved in this place from her. Now, on with the food. I ordered the Sausage Omelette with Wheat Toast. Damn, it was good. The serving size was perfect and she didn't hold back on the meat! It had a good mix of veggies and didn't taste like an over-oiled mess. Awesome! In other breakfast spots I'm used to having toast loaded with so much butter that it's a soggy pancake by the time its served. NOPE. It was lightly buttered and crispy, just the way I like it! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and was sad that I couldn't finish it all. Well, challenge accepted. I'll finish it the next time I'm in town, because this is where I'll go from now on for breakfast. If I do eat it all, I'll do a victory whistle! Wait, that's not allowed here, is it? read more

Kinda obsessed with breakfast and Coleens Kitchen is among the best I've had. Homemade bread and bagels also.

Wonderful strawberry/banana pancakes to go with REAL maple syrup. Just fantastic. Not flavored, pieces of banana and strawberries in a light and fluffy batter. Well worth the drive if you don't actually live in the area. This lady knows how to cook breakfast ! This is one of three on a 10" dinner plate. read more

Coleen's is an excellent place to get a casual breakfast or lunch. Coleen bakes her own pastries and bread in the morning, and makes amazing soups, quesadillas, and sandwiches from scratch for lunch. It's a particularly good place for gluten-free diners. Coleen goes out of her way to make sure she has GF options, including rice wraps for lunch quesadillas and even french toast and pancakes! She's also careful about cross contamination and checking ingredients. Definitely worth the trip if you are very sensitive to gluten, or even if you aren't and you just love great food for a great price. Cash only! read more

Great small hometown diner! Breads are homemade and so tasty. Owner is very nice and welcoming.

Great breakfast spot! Coleen is truly one of a kind....not only does she own the establishment but she also is the only cook, hostess, cleaner, etc. She's got things down pat! With Covid right now you have to call ahead as her seating is limited but it's never been a problem getting a table. She also does take out if you want it. Oh! She not only does everything there....she also bakes all the breads fresh daily! Soooo good! Homemade fresh bread can't be beat! And she doesn't skimp. The portion sizes are always big! My husband and I always have enough to take home for breakfast the next morning. We've gotten her 4-egg....YES! 4 egg omelette and her French Toast. The French Toast is two slices of heaven that take up an entire dinner plate and the bread is thicker than the fork! And the maple syrup is real maple syrup and the coffee if from a local roaster. Can't get any better than this! We love this place and are sad we're only in town in the summertimes or else we'd be here more often. read more

Was in town for my daughters college orientation. I was looking for a local place to have breakfast and just found Coleen's kitchen. Since my daughter will be her for the next 4 years I will be back. Coleen's Kitchen is the proverbial hole in the wall in all the good sense. A long counter on 1 side and booths on other side. Makes it difficult to support groups larger than 4, but you will get over it. Always has a pancake special. Today's special was Carrot Cake pancakes. I didn't have them but they looked good. I had the other special, Spicy Turkey, tomato and cheese on a home made roll. It didn't disappoint. I added the home fries, cooked to order and a little crispy as I asked. The owner was the cook, cashier and bus person. She was polite and funny. While I was there several local regulars came in. You could tell she knows her customers. Even the mail carrier came in for a home made fresh peach muffin. Prices were reasonable and I am leaving satisfied. I will return. So should you. read more

This small restaurant is a go to for breakfast for my partner and I. I could sell my soul for the home fries. You can get a ton of food at a great cost. Coleen is always friendly and happy to cook your food the way you want it. My only complaint would be that the bread for toast is a little thicker than I would like, but it is all made fresh so I can't really complain. read more

The breakfast here is amazing. I love how dedicated Coleen is to making her customers happy. The first time I came I ordered chocolate chip pancakes with real maple syrup!!! If you're going to eat here, you've got to know the rules: 1. No cell phones 2. Keep your kids quiet 3. No swearing 4. Indoor voices 5. No whistling There's a little sign on each table in case you forget. Overall, this place has somewhat above average diner food in a quiet, homey setting. They're only open for breakfast and lunch and if you don't like the rules, they're happy to give you directions to the other diner down the street. read more

I was not a fan of this place. I was in the area with my boyfriend visiting family. We came here for an early lunch one day and it was almost empty inside. The main thing that we didn't like about this place was the staff. We felt extremely unwelcome and like we didn't deserve to be eating there. The owner was behind the bar talking to some regulars about the people that come in to eat. Said that she hates when out of town people come in because they don't know the rules and don't deserve to eat where the locals do...obviously she had never seen us before so she knew what she was saying and who her real audience was. She was rude when taking our order and hated that we asked what was in the soup, lots of eye rolls and huffs during the different interactions. The food was nothing great and the staff will make me never come back. read more

Food is good! Big portions. The lady is a one woman show, she she's always doing something. It can be a wait, but waiting isn't bad when it's good food.
