I went to Coldstone to use my $5 off reward. The guy behind the counter was friendly. The store was clean, and the wait wasn't long. They had several different ice cream choices and creations. They have shakes, cones, ice cream cakes and cupcakes, and etc. You can create your own ice cream with toppings or get a signature creation. The signature creations seemed cheaper than adding individual toppings. I got the berry red velvet ice cream. It had strawberries, red velvet ice cream, and graham crackers, and I also added cheesecake ice cream to it. It was tasty and I enjoyed it. Next time I probably won't get the strawberries in it because they were just to hard to chew since they were frozen strawberries and not fresh strawberries. The price difference isn't much so it makes more sense to get the larger size, for less than $2 extra. I'd definitely return to get it again. Check them out!! read more

Even though I'm not a real big ice cream lover, every now and then I have a craving for it. On the other hand, my husband, children and grandchildren all love ice cream, sherbet, gelato and everything in between. We decided to take our youngest granddaughter for a treat and of course she chose ice cream. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly employee. It's a small space but everything was clean and neat. Everyone ordered their favorite and we enjoyed every spoonful. The two workers--Ariana (spelling?) and Carissa (spelling?)-- were giggly to themselves and not very customer friendly. Other than that, the place was somewhat clean. I came in with some friends to try the banana ice cream. I got mine mixed in with brownie and it was a killer combination. It wasn't too busy for a Saturday afternoon and there was plenty of seating. Very helpful! I told them I was gluten free, so they give me the menu for allergens, so I could decide what to have. This is one of the better locations of Cold Stone. The worker will actually make the ice cream as you requested. The portion of the ice cream matches what you pay for. The toppings are mix in really well. The workers are really nice and completes the order at a reasonable time. On my recent trip, I tried the Lucky Charms Ice Cream and it literally matches the advertisement. The ice cream good, especially having that marshmallow fluff mixed into the ice cream itself. Generally, each time I come here, the spot is usually empty and makes a better quality item and experience compared to other stores. read more

Today I had the worse experience at cold stone location and I usually don't. Came in to get my normal cake batter n shake, never experienced poor customer service from this location I always go to. Took 20 mins to place my order with only 2 customers in front of me. So basically only 1 person was working and the other person wanted to just lay back and re-scoop ice cream and not realize she had a line of 4 people behind. Would it make a lot more sense to help your fellow employee to get the line down? I dislike people's work ethic, customers are always first period. read more

Very busy on a Thursday evening after the usual dinner hours, I waited nearly ten minutes to get my ice cream fix prepared. Of course, some of the folks had to have a taste or four in order to make their decision. Rather rude that they would do this with a line behind them, but hey, "I'm more important!" This gave me more time to make my own decision, settling on butter pecan with more pecans mixed in. I like pecans, which I pronounce PUH-cahn not PEE-can as it should be. Mixed right and the serving was right. No problems there. The first dispenser was out of napkins, the second one was low. It was busy that night so the side work tends to slip I guess. If you're not familiar, you pick your size cup (3 sizes) or cone, pick your ice cream(s) and mix-ins, then they mix everything you requested together on a cold slab. I always get a cup with half cake batter and half of another flavor (second flavor changes for me lol) and get a brownie or cookie dough mixed in. While I'll always love Cold Stone, this is not one of my favorite locations. It always seems to be understaffed; usually only 2 people making ice cream (sometimes i see a 3rd but not often). Long lines/long wait pretty much every time I come here because there's not enough people to move through the orders efficiently. This location needs to take tips from the Greenbrier location, which is always just as crowded, but much shorter wait time because they have more staff working. read more

If you love ice cream and you love to mix things up with mix ins then I highly recommend it. My norm is the Birthday Cake Remix but instead of sprinkles I substitute an extra brownie. I LOVE IT!!! The staff is always very friendly and the ice cream is great. Our whole family loves going here. Birthday Cake Remix and Founders Favorite are my usual choices. If the bathrooms weren't all jacked up and the tables all sticky, I'd give them 5 stars. We were there yesterday and the men's room was out of service and in the women's restroom the dryer is busted and there was no soap, *gross*! If they dryer is busted, put some paper towels in there until you can get it repaired and ALWAYS keep the soap filled! Also, someone needs to be wiping the tables down every 10-15 minutes, especially if they are busy. Or, keep some antibacterial wipes near the tables for customers to wipe down their own tables, as they are usually quite sticky. read more

I don't go here often, but I decided to treat myself to real ice cream rather than froyo. The workers were very nice and the ice cream was really good. The area around the cash register and tip jar is a little dusty and the cash register seems very old and was really slow. I got the birthday cake remix and my boyfriend got the oreo overload. We both got it in the size 'gotta have it'. It's just like how I remembered it after having it about two years ago and the prices are pretty good. Came with my husband and daughter for Friday night treat. The girls working were great! My black cherry wasn't that great but it's probably because I don't eat much sugar. We left a tip but no singing. I had to ask. It was probably an oversight. My daughter went to the restroom and there was no toilet paper. Normally, Cold Stone Creamery is a great place to grab some ice cream with my family. My dad, however, is lactose intolerant - which shouldn't be a big deal because they have dairy free items. Once we got up to the counter, my dad was asking about the dairy free options and tasting them to see if he liked them. The girl helping us had to ask the guy at the counter which were dairy free and which weren't, he seemed impatient and annoyed at the question. He only had one sample, and asked about another that was advertised on the glass as "dairy free". The girl that was helping us, was not sure what was in it (soy or another substitute) so she asked a guy at the counter, who informed us that it was not dairy free. My father points out the advertisement, confused, and the guy replies, "well, I should know. I made it." Not only was the reply unprofessional, but it was rude. My opinion definitely seems to be the minority, but the "ice cream" that this place serves is absurdly overpriced and tastes like it's full of chemicals. I ordered an ice cream cake for a graduation party from this location, since I had received one for my birthday this year and it was a hit. I came to pick it up and I was blown away by the smell of fresh waffle cones as I walked in the door. Everyone working said hello and asked me if I needed assistance while one of the girls went to get my cake. The cake was exactly what I wanted (it tasted great too!!) The only issue that arose was at check-out. There's only one register! If there are several people waiting in line, you can imagine how long it would take to check-out. Nevertheless, the girl up front was nice, just like every employee at the store. Everytime we go there the line and wait time is about 30 minutes which is dumb since they know there is always a rush on the weekend and they have 3 people working, let alone 1 trained and 2 new staff, stupid. We order our ice cream and by the time it's served it's already melted, literally dripping due to them not knowing what goes in the signature ice creams and having to look at their cheat sheet all the time. Then the portion ordered wasn't even given. The one thing we always ask for is whipped cream on the top and we know it's extra but what they put is not even worth the money because it's like a tablespoon size they place on top. Mixing in a variety of candies, berries, and nuts into a vanilla based "signature" creation caused it to end up quite runny by the time we paid. The uncertainty of the staff added up to slow performance, also contributing to the semi-liquid state of the confection. Darker flavors would have been preferable as they melt slower. The multitude of options are confusing. I suppose I could have opted for a simple one or two scoop cone, but I could not find them listed. read more

Any time me or my roommate go to this location (nearest our place) the high school kids working give off this "why are you bothering me" attitude. The nice guy is always in the back and sometimes there's a nice, but very slow younger girl but they both work in the back area and would be better suited for serving customers. Any time we go in it's these 2 younger guys, or sometimes only one of them and neither are friendly and both can be actually quite rude. Especially if you are ordering anything from the hot stone menu. They both give this eye roll, snotty-toned "you know that's gonna be like 5 extra minutes, right?" The sign in front of the register stating that new employees are undergoing training, and to please be patient has been there for months. There's been no improvement. Please consider hiring friendlier staff. It takes any fun out of the experience when you're craving ice cream after dinner, but when you walk in the door you get treated like you're bothering these kids who work here. Also, any time we've ordered more than 2 things we are interrupted and told to hold on,but never asked eventually what the other item was, having to remind them. While walking by this location my wife mentioned she had a buy one get one free coupon and asked if I wanted to go in because of it. After showing the coupon from her phone to the guy behind the counter he explained I would have to change my choice because it wasn't included in the deal. That usually happens to me so I wasn't that disappointed but after changing my order to fit the coupon we go to pay and he tells me he can only accept a printed copy. When I asked why he didn't say anything while he looked at it the first time he said "sorry, that's my fault". I asked if it was his fault why do we have to pay for it. His reply: "because.....I don't know!" So we only went in because of the coupon and I couldn't even order what I wanted to honor a coupon that they would not accept after reading me the rules. As a business owner myself I know that if I make a mistake I never make the customer pay for it.
