    Cold Stone Creamery Sweet Spring

Cold Stone Creamery is the best with their like or love it size creations, you can mix and match your ingredients to create what you want. They also have cakes for special occasions. Today I ordered the sweet spring, it was amazing and put me in the easter spirit seeing the cute little peep on top.

Cold Stone Creamery has the most delicious creations. I really enjoyed my sweet spring, it was so creamy like a burst of spring and amazingly delicious. You can create your own or pick and choose from a variety of choices, either way you can't go wrong.

I took my family to this location tonight and several of the young women working at this store were so incredibly rude. From eyerolls, to slamming tools down and walking away as my family tried to order. I have never experienced such a horrible display of customer service. I ordered 3 medium cups of icecream. Two were typical size. One of the cups wasn't even filled halfway up the cup. It was a teachable moment to my very young children of how you do not treat customers. The moment you walk in the store it smells horribly like someone used a mildew mop to clean. As if this wasn't enough, the front trash receptacle was visibly overflowing and a major eyesore especially for this area. Save yourself the frustration and disrespect and visit another local icecream shop!

Coldstone offers a refreshing break from a hectic day of shopping in a plaza. Any ice cream can be blended with other ice creams or with fun candies and accoutrements. Even the smallest size provides a generous portion. Simple little benches and picnic tables outside, a few little indoor tables as well. They have coolers full of items to take home, and their ice cream cakes include both baked cake and homemade ice cream!

Disappointed with this place today. My boyfriend and I decided to get some ice cream before movie. We got sea salt fudge and tangy orange combo on waffle cup with graham cracker. The waffle is awful. Hard and stale taste. The ice cream just sweet not very flavorful. And of course it's pricey. I've been here a few times and usually it was good besides the overpriced. But today just not the day... if only based on today I won't recommend going. I think I rather go to Fran chill custard.

    Ice cream is really cool.

Until Sunday I honestly never thought I would actually come to a Cold Stone Creamery again, but here I am, admitting that I'm glad that wasn't the case. I came here on Sunday evening while wanting some ice cream and being in the Orchard Park area. This location is a good size, has plenty of seating, and the employee working was friendly and and let us try a few flavours before ordering. I ended up going with the chocolate chocolate chip and mint ice cream in a waffle bowl (the waffle bowl made me order it honestly). I used to think Cold Stone was overpriced but it actually wasn't bad at all, my 2 scoop ice cream, waffle bowl, and a regular small cup came to about $10 (nothing worth complaining about). Overall, they proved me wrong and thanks to a delicious experience I wouldn't mind stopping by in the future!

GUESS WHAT???!!??? WNY actually STILL has a Cold Stone!! WHO KNEW!!?? I only knew from seeing a couple check-ins come through my Yelp feed. We aren't in the Orchard Park area extremely often, but when we were down that way recently, our fam' stopped in. It is tucked in a plaza area with several buildings, so a bit tricky to weave to if you're not familiar with the area, but once you find it there is plenty of parking. The customer service on the night we visited was STELLAR!! The line stayed busy, but the young women working the counter kept it moving and were very friendly. I had some pretty specific requests to for our vegan daughter's selection (one sorbet with strawberries mixed in, the other sorbet with pineapples mixed in, not mixed together, chocolate sprinkles on top), and the girl who put it all together for me was completely chipper with each of my demands. :-D All of the items we picked were tasty and BIG; they were not skimpy scoopers here!! I haven't been to a Cold Stone in several years, and this location has all of the bountiful flavors and toppings choices I remember. There were at least 20 flavors, mostly ice cream with a few frozen yogurts and sorbets, and a long case of just about every popular candy or fruit mix-in you could be craving. If you're in the OP and have a hankering for Cold Stone, well FEAR NOT, it is STILL here!! Stop in to enjoy all the great tastes, and the super smiles from the staff. :-)

However, liquid nitrogen canisters were nowhere to be found as all of their stuff came out of boxes. I thought the entire draw of using molecular gastronomy was to flair involved in making the food, not necessarily the end product. And because of that and the weather, their ice cream was put at a big disadvantage. Yet they still managed to win the rookie-of-the-year award at the competition. At least one of the workers there let me get 2 items worth 10 tickets for 9 b/c that's all I had left. I had the "Have your cake and eat it too" (aka cake batter ice cream) and a "Nitro Pop". Neither really all that special.

I was intrigued when visiting the Galleria to quickly pay some bills. Located on the second floor right outside of Macy's, it's worth to stop even just to watch and to be amazed. Three employees where quickly moving around the little shop amist a gathering of people just as curious as I was. The large tanks of nitrogen were spouting the gas and the ice cream creators were quickly stirring the concoction as the ohhs and ahhs were being heard. You could either get a flavor of nitro cream and add your own toppings or there is also a list of sundae-like menu options. Flavors like vanilla, chocolate, mint, strawberry, cake batter, pitschao, and coffee were options. The saying of Go big or go home flashed in my mind. So I ended up going with Nitro Mike's Fav which was cake batter ice cream with cookie dough, peanut butter mixed it. The ice cream was very creamy and yet seemed a little less heavy than a typical Perry's offering. The price ended up being just over $6 with tax. They apparently also catering at special events like weddings and birthdays which is a pretty cool idea. The employee who made my order also mentioned that more franchises are coming. But right now they are only at the Walden Galleria mall. As much of a haven of canadiens that the Galleria has become, I feel I'll bear it to have some more of their ice cream!

It's also fun to wander around eyeing all the candies and chocolates... excellent gift ideas. On this visit, my daughter and I split a large Arctic swirl with brownies pieces and swapped the vanilla custard for eggnog. Best decision I've made all season, no regrets! The only tiny downside: the signs. So. Many. Signs. Rules everywhere--no ice cream in the chocolate area, carry a basket so nothing melts or breaks, no glass outside, clean your trays, etc. I get it (I, too, am a bit of a control freak), but it does start to feel like ice cream comes with a user manual. That said, clearly they've been burned before... or maybe I just recognize my own people. Either way, worth it for the custard alone. And make sure you plan to go right home. This way, you can buy some of their hard ice cream to keep in your freezer.
