After a lovely dinner meal at Pho Rex, my dear friend and I decided to go get some ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery that is below the 10 Fwy where Edwards Cinema is located. Cute ice cream, shake, and cake shop with a sweet ambiance! Good selection of ice cream flavors. Ice cream cakes are available for purchase. They offer gift cards, too. You gotta love their signature ice cream creations... lots to choose from so pick wisely LOL! My friend got the Strawberry Sorbet only and I got Our Strawberry Blonde creation (strawberry ice cream, graham cracker pie crust, strawberries, caramel, whipped cream) just the way they make it. Of course you could change any of their creations however you prefer them... just let them know. Staff asked me if I wanted everything as is and I said YES! Their cup sizes are Like It (small) for $7.50, Love It (medium) for $8.50, and Gotta Have It (large) for $9.50. Go large LOL! Their signature creations for $10.00 do come in the large cup. Both ice cream delights were amazing! Will have to return to try their other creations. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately, their system was down so no credit card and gift cards could be used. Cash only at the time! So do bring cash just in case they haven't fixed the issue. Absolutely disappointed. Ordered my regular strawberry blonde love it, and they were stingy with the toppings. I was able to get only 2 strawberry chunks and just minimal crumbs of pie crust. Will never return here again. I use to come here all the time, but the girls here are supper snarky. (Yes, I used to work in customer service and I know how to talk to people. I'm not a Karen) The last experience I had here was so bad, they had about 4 people working (messing around) and they let two people cut in front of me, but I'm pretty passive when it comes to that. So it's no biggie. They finally make my ice cream and set it on the counter with no lid in front of another customer who was paying. That customer grabbed the ice cream and walked out of the store with her other items. Then when I got the register to pay, she was confused where my ice cream was and realized the other customer took it. So she rushed (with major attitude) to make me another one. I felt like all of the girls in here were laughing at me, as if I was being bullied by a staff at cold stone. Just simply rude. I feel bad for the owner, that he has a team that doesn't care. When one is spending around $15 dollars for a party of 2 for ice cream-I would expect some good service alongside it. I usually visit the Cold Stone in Covina(great service and portion accuracy). The reviews are correct! The service here sucks! I ordered a "Love it" and size portion was more of a "Like it". Manager Luz was not accommodating to a coupon issue that was an issue to "begin with" because of their (Cold Stone Personnel) error(s). Came in today with my family to enjoy some ice cream. We did four different types of their Signature Creations with plain waffle cups. All four types were delicious, we kept picking at each other's flavors. As for the sizes, they were good portions. We did the size "Love it" (Medium) it's a good portion for one person possibly even for two. A young lady and the owner were serving us well. Had a great attitude, she helped us out with the sizing as we were a bit indecisive of which to get. The owner as well was helping her out with a good attitude. She made my family feel comfortable as they are coming out of town and it was their first time. I been here couple of times, I would say it is better than the Chino Hills location. Bought Gotta Have it Banana Ice Cream with bananas and pecans. Total was $8.98. I gave a $20 and got $8.78 change back. Mind you, this employee that served my ice cream even used a calculator to calculate how much $20-$8.98 is. Then she walked away, so sure that her work was done. When I questioned her, she again took her calculator, punched her numbers, turned the calculator around to show me that $8.78 was the correct change I should get. Hello! So as a favor to my sister (since I don't like most ice cream, especially Cold Stone's) we go in for her first ice cream treat by the franchise. I go, hey, what the hell, it's her BIRTHDAY. The girl that helped us didn't seem like she knew what she was doing and confused about my boyfriends order, that was written on the wall as one of the ice cream choices. The ice cream was fine, but that's to be expected of all Coldstones, I mean its a franchise. Either way, the low score is in line with most of the reviews here. The service here is just bad. I'm not going to describe a single instance, because that's really narrowing the overall experience I've had. There's a consistent lack of care behind the counter. You're spending like 6-7$ per ice cream cup, sure you expect the price for the flavors you're getting, but you're mainly paying that much, because "Coldstones" is on the cup. With that name I have the expectation of friendly service, an extra scoop here or there, and just an overall fun experience. That's not what you're going to get here. I was told I was given the bare minimum of scoops here, because I was getting a to go order. I've NEVER been told that at ANY Coldstones. They pile the icecream up, and the lack thereof here definitely was noticeable when I was eating it. There weren't any smiles, just bored looking young adults doing the minimum for their paycheck. Sure, maybe you get this at Thriftys or even Baskin Robins, but not Coldstones. Save yourself the trip to this Coldstones and go to a different one. read more

I wandered into Cold Stone for the first time since 1999, back before cold stone, there was a creamery that started it all "Four Seasons Creamery" in Chino, CA. Cold Stone's products are way too sweet and over-priced, but since they have no competition, you have to go there to get a "cheesecake with almonds" mixed in. I showed up and there were nice girls working there that gave me huge portions even double scoops of mix-ins, and started coming more frequently, but then one day I showed up when the owner was there and have decided to not patronize this place any longer; Basically, I ordered the largest size and received a small portion in a big cup, then she skimped on the almonds, when I asked for another scoop she wanted to charge me close to a dollar. So her workers kept me coming back with generous portions and good customer service, but for .04 cents of cream and .02 cents of almonds the owner lost a customer, because she refused to give me a proper portion for the size I ordered.
