Impressed each time and never disappointed. I've been coming to this location for ten years. My most recent visit was to pick out a small cake for my nephew's birthday. It was 11 AM, and I was the only customer in the store at the moment. There were two employees behind the counter working on something. & rather than continuing their duties, they both stopped to say hi, and one came around the counter to ask me how he can help me (following social distancing rules, of course). He was very helpful and kind. Both gentlemen receive an A++ for their customer service. As for their cakes, that's an A+++++, but duh. read more

You always add nuts or cookies into your ice cream, but I prefer just plain banana ice cream. I do suggest the waffle cone. They do have outside sitting if you want to enjoy a good dessert outside if the day is fair. I personally just take it to go because the establishment is too cold inside. But again this is a place where you come for ice cream. The chairs are limes and not so comfortable. The tables are a good size but I could use a bigger table. The Staff is always friendly and very welcoming. They always seem to be short handed and you may have to wait a little longer than usual. However it is worth the wait. They take their time to make the ice cream, shake, or treat to your specifications. So be patient, relax, try a sample before you commit to the ice cream of your choice and TIP. My favorite ice cream shop in the valley! They have many different flavors most of which are the classic, traditional kind, but the ice cream itself is very creamy and not icy at all. They have many additional toppings including fruit, candy, sprinkles, cookies, and marshmallows, options for waffle cones or cups, and the signature creations are great too! Service is excellent! They are very friendly, and sometimes you may even catch them tossing you order up into the air and into your cup in a silly little display for customers. The location has many tables inside and outdoors, so it makes for a perfect date night or hang out whether it's summer, spring, winter, fall (anytime is the perfect time for ice cream!). 10/10 would recommend! read more

Great selection of hand scooped ice cream up on the North side of McAllen. Close to Russo's and Starbucks. Ends up as kind of a teen hangout due to the outside stairs that access the businesses above the shop. Weird how they always have the second entrance locked on northside of shop. Cold Stone Creamery ice cream is fairly standard from location to location; ranging from delicious to amazing depending upon your selection. This particular location sets itself apart with its outstanding customer service. We unknowingly strolled up 30 minutes past closing. Just as we turned to depart the door unlocked and we were welcomed with wide open ice cream scoops by the owner himself. We made our selection and headed out happy customers. While I ate my feelings in my car before takeoff, I saw another late night ice creamaholic approach the parlor. The owner gladly welcomed this customer as well! I give this Cold Stone Creamery five stars for its excellent customer service and for helping me adhere to a very strict diet of ice creamy at 10:30pm every night. read more

Five star. Wow! I wanted them to make me a banana split. They said that they did not have that on the menu. But, said they would do anything I liked and create one for me. the food, staff, and experience was wonderful. i liked how i was able to test a sample of an ice cream flavor which enabled me to narrow down my options. i ordered the circus animal cookies ice cream with mother's circus animal cookies and i can confirm that that was one of the best ice creams i've ever tasted. i ordered a size regular and was able to finish with a slight stomach ache, so next time i would order a smaller size! :D read more

I had the mocha-flavored ice cream and it was super delicious! I paid about $15.67 for my girlfriend, and me that might be a bit high to some people. The price might be a bit higher than other places but I personally think the mocha ice cream was worth it! I was surprised that they were open so late since it was about 10:45pm when we arrived at the location and were welcomed right in. I recommend this place for those who crave late-night ice cream or any other time of the day! read more
