And who is this person? A friend of a friend? YOU tried to speak in Spanish? OMG I hope this works out. And it did, beautifully. Carmen and her sister Elsa did all the food and the decorations for a party of about 130 with seeming ease. Elsa transformed a raw space into a fiesta! forever! event. Gorgeous colored tablecloths, centerpieces, huge paper flowers, sombreros, candelarias. The whole thing was just perfect and probably the best that place is ever gonna look. Carmen, the chef of the duo, cooked, set up, served, cleaned up and generally made everyone as happy as pigs in shit. And I dont use that very graphic phrase lightly. On the menu: small homemade corn and flour tortillas, fajita, chicken, pork asada, pork belly, gorditas, quesadillas, poblano with cream and corn (veggie), towers of trompo (marinated for days), a huge salsa bar, aguas frescas (fresh juices) of watermelon, mango, pineapple and all the serving ware included. Oh, this all cost us $20 a person & $15 a table. Your quote may be different but I was mightily impressed. It was like I walked into a portal to mexico, minus the scary drug guys and iffy food (but plus a lot of scary relatives.) It seems like that dynamic duo can handle any project you want to throw at them. And believe me, you should throw every event with them. People will be raving about it for years -- and I didnt have to lift a finger. Only a fork.

It was only tacos and burgers. Don't get me wrong, I love tacos, but you can get good tacos and burgers anywhere here. To me, food trucks are an opportunity to offer something unique and innovative. Nuri finally came around and did just that. The food is amazing! My husband and I have been waiting for food like this since we moved to McAllen from Miami almost 4 years ago. They ran out of the steak but we had the "karnitas" and the fried chicken. Delicious blend of Mexican and Korean. I highly recommend going to Nuri over the other food trucks.

It's a casual (no surprise) counter service restaurant with inside and out seating. The service was quick and they had already sold out of some of their offerings. Being the meat lover that I am I decided to get both ribs and brisket. I'd put the ribs in the "very good" category. This is, after all, legit barbecue. No shortcuts. The brisket is what blew me away, however. Best I've had outside of maybe Lockhart in Dallas. The beef flavor is incredible and has plenty of both fat and meat. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes barbecue but especially for anyone who loves beef.

The place is very busy, but despite that the wait was only 10 minutes at 10:00 am on a Saturday. The hostess and our server were both very friendly. The place advertises that it specializes in home cooked comfort foods so we figured we'd have to see how their biscuits and gravy were. We ordered a 1/2 order and it came with a biscuit split in half and covered with gravy and sausage. The flavor was perfect - it definitely lived up to 'home cooked comfort food'. I ordered an omelette - three cheeses, sausage, bacon and ham with onions, cilantro and jalapeños - which came with refried (black) beans. The omelette was very good - flavorful and fresh. They actually use slices of cheese inside and on top - I've never had an omelette prepared that way but it was very good. When I first tasted the salsa I was not a fan - it was warm and had a different flavor - then I put it on the omelette and - great pairing and great flavor combo. The refried black beans were sadly underwhelming - no real flavor. I know they were homemade but they were missing the flavor that usually comes with refried beans (black or pinto) My wife had the quiche which had onions, peppers, sausage, mushrooms and cheese. It was very good. Even the crust was good. She ordered the breakfast potatoes as the side. The flavor of the potatoes was excellent. Half of them were lightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside which were great; the other half were overcooked and became potato chips - good flavor but not a breakfast potato. We will definitely come back to try their lunch food and dessert (we were too full today). They have a good variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner items on the menu so there is something for everyone. We were glad we stopped in.

Seriously this is what other restaurants should strive to deliver. Fantastic food, great environment to eat in and welcoming staff. Breakfast: both the works omelet and migas were great (especially with the added salsa). 1000% get the fruit. The dip they provide is of similar idea to that which Jason's deli gives. With the primary difference that this one makes Jason's seem entirely inadequate. Lunch: The chicken Parmesan is an excellent choice, I got pasta instead of potatoes. It was a very healthy portion and filled me up. Even the veggies it comes with are properly seasoned and cooked. The tea is wonderful, they do offer flavored teas but I did not try that. TLDR: great establishment, give them a try.

The foot-long quesadilla blended tender carne asada, two cheeses, onions, spices and other flavors into a buttery, crispy tortilla. Absolutely delicious! I also loved the atmosphere, they had the World Cup playing and it added to the good vibes.
