The bake goods are delicious. The customer service, ounce you get thru the line its good. I must say, that although I enjoyed my mocha latte and my hazelnut lobster tail tremendously - I missed the wow factor. The store appeared to be short-staffed. There was a line of people waiting for their turn because there was only one person behind the counter. We purchased a mini-pecan pie. It was ok. The cupcakes looked pretty ordinary. Whenver I am at that mall in the future, I may stop by for a cup of coffee and a pastry. But, I will not be making a special trip to purchase bakegoods in the future. read more

2.75 stars. I'm sure if Carlo himself were to over see everything, this place might be a bit more to my liking. let me start with service. The employees are quick, efficient and polite. Haven't had any issues with service. The desserts themselves are not really my preference. Cookies: The sugar cookies are pretty decent but not quite the texture I like. They don't seem to have that crisp edge with a soft chewy center that I look for in any cookie. The cupcakes: Well the cake itself is a bit dry and the frosting too sweet. Lobster tails: The texture is great. Crisp flaky pastry with a creamy silky filling. My husband enjoys them, but again the filling is too sweet for me to enjoy more than 1 bite. Overall, most of the desserts here are way too sweet for my liking and considering that, not worth the hefty price tag you'd pay to purchase several different items. If you like super sugary desserts, you will like the wide variety of desserts served here. read more

Standard bakery - they probably get customers because of their TV show/fan following because their food is nothing spectacular. Service was fine. It wasn't crowded so the girls behind the counter were able to help us a lot with picking out desserts. We ended up getting a cannoli and two lobster tails ( a caramel one and a hazelnut/chocolate one.) The pastry itself was good for the lobster tail, but the filling could've had a stronger flavor. I love hazelnut/chocolate and caramel, but it wasn't satisfying in this lobster tail - kinda faint. Cannoli was also meh - standard, but nothing standout to justify the more expensive price. If i were craving something sweet, I wouldn't mind eating here if it were convenient. But it's not somewhere I'd seek out if I weren't nearby. read more

The highly anticipated Carlos from the cake boss has opened and continues to have a consistent crowd of clients. However, over two visits I have found Carlos to be inconsistent. On our first visit we tried several items. The chocolate hazelnut lobster tail was phenomenal. While the cupcake was so horrendously dry that we threw it in the trash. The American Napoleon was tasty but didn't have the satisfying crunch of the lobster tail. On our second visit, we couldn't wait to get another lobster tail, but were severely disappointed. Instead of a crunchy fresh pastry, it was soggy and chewy. However the cookie we ordered was very good. Overall they need to work on consistency. I don't want to pay those kind of prices for a pastry without knowing that it will deliver what it promises. read more

Bake shop is alright. Everything was fine, but nothing to write home about. The service was great and the girls behind the counter were very helpful. I'm not sure what the original locations are like but speaking strictly for this location, I think if I had to pick a favorite it would be the lobster tails. If you like crispy, flakey texture you would like the lobster tails. I got the hazelnut-chocolate and the caramel filling. While I liked the texture, I thought the filling was just ok, nothing amazing or stand out to me. I was a little disappointed by the cannoli. The filling was stand out to me either. I think I only tried the bake shop because of the reputation and with the price tag I was expecting more. In the spectrum of things I'd say its a solid B- dessert. Wanted to try something new , my mother and I had bought two slices of bread, a lobster tail, and two milks. We had a terrible customer service the young lady at the counter was rude. Our milk in our milk cartons was expired but the date on the outside was not. We told the young lady it's expired . Her response was look at the expiration date. We told her taste it and she grabbed the milk threw it away and said what do you want. My mother then asked if she could have another milk. She gave us another milk but I won't come back unfortunately. read more

I had bigger expectations for this place but all in all it's just "OK" for what you get the plates are a bit to over priced. My pasta was a bit raw my jaw hurt after a while the chicken I added was cooked well but I expected to get more chicken specially getting charged $5 extra. Not a bad place but there's better restaurants out there where you'll get better plates for half the cost. read more

I'm only going to be reviewing off of the customer service and confetti cake. Customer service wasn't all that great , everybody looked upset, and when I ordered my cake they gave me a broken half a** one and when I asked to get another the employee literally just looked pissed off. I get home and open up my cake and I was really disappointed. I payed $6 for a dry sorry cake. I pay $2 for a birthday cake at which wich that taste far more better than that. I myself work where constructive criticism means a lot and decided to start putting my input in wherever I go to hopefully help. We loved the canoli with chocolate ... Give them a try...the pastry is crunchy and fresh... They make new batches every day... Are not that pricey as I thought they would be.... Affordable price too...We are able to taste one of the famous pastries in the Valley.. Is awesome...I tried the eclaires(bigness) I wish they would be a little bigger for our Texan belly ;p The lobster tails are a treat as well... Very good... read more
