The frosting was a little too sweet but the tartness of the jelly filling balanced everything out. I tried their lavender and cookies and cream macarons and they were so good! I liked that the lavender had a tart filling in the center. I got a cosmic brownie for my brother to try and he said it was amazing! I also got a danish which was pretty good and I just had to get a lemon bar and one of the blueberry pie bars because they are the best! This is my new go to place for baked goods! Even after clarifying that Mocha is a trained service animal, not a pet or emotional support animal, we were told the policy still applied and that sitting outside was our only option. Rather than accepting unequal treatment, we chose to leave. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), restaurants generally cannot restrict customers with service animals to outdoor seating solely because of their service animal. An owner's personal policy does not override federal disability protections. What should have been a simple meal with my husband turned into an incredibly disappointing and uncomfortable experience. Individuals who rely on service animals should not have to choose between receiving the assistance they need and being treated equally. I genuinely hope ownership takes this opportunity to educate themselves and their employees on ADA requirements so that no other individual experiences the same treatment.
