The portions were huge, the ice cream was tasty, and the presentation was great! The staff was kind and friendly and we appreciated being able to see our orders getting made. Be warned that this is not a place for a little treat - we easily could have split one rolled ice cream and been perfectly satisfied. The space was a little small with limited seating but it was very inviting all the same. Certainly hope to make it back very soon and try more of their menu!

So, creme roulee - rolled ice cream - was a dessert trend from over 10 years ago, but I have never…read moreheard of it. This style of ice cream originated in France. Rolled ice cream is made by flattening an ultra-thin layer of ice cream out and then rolling it up. See the videos I posted if you've never experienced it. The flavors of rolled ice cream that I tried are ube and blueberry. The blueberry had a blueberry puree on top. The ube was served with whipped cream and toasted coconut. Delightful. I only wish that I had a double espresso to go with it. The flavors of rolled ice cream that are most popular here, so far, are: 1.) Birthday Cake 2.) Strawberry Cheesecake, and 3.) Cookies and cream The team here was also passionate about the ube flavor. We also tried the strawberry yogurt shake, which was delicious. BTW, someone ordered a croffle and it smelled like a buttery breakfast. It is a croissant pressed into a waffle form. We *needed* to get one to share. They have many toppings, but if you're going to order this croffle for breakfast, the plain whipped cream (vs. the mango cream) is not sweet, but creamy and satisfying. The croffle is substantial and eggy. It is very surprising because it's hearty bite after bite. There are no light and flakey bites and before you know it, it's gone. You get your dollar's worth, here. It's a good breakfast. And you can dip the croffle into your house coffee which is even better. I also put some of the croffle cream into the coffee. The house coffee is made from a machine and tastes dark and sweet. Yum. I am wondering where else you would find this no-longer trending trend - of French rolled ice cream - in the DC area. I found 10 places on yelp but only 3 mentioned rolled ice cream in the search result descriptions. The staff here are friendly, informative and patient. The environment is simple, yet elegant. A definite new texture and flavor adventure was found here, to be sure. Thank you, Laurel!

The froyo flavors were pretty good too but I really care about the toppings. The woman working was super nice and really went the extra mile for us. We will definitely come back here again!!

Surprisingly because it is the number one most popular flavor. The cake was moist but the frosting is way too sweet even for me who has a sweet tooth. Of all the flavors I tried, my top three favorite were the carrot cake, almond cake, and the red velvet. I really love that they have mini cupcakes because I can try more flavors and not have to workout as long to burn off all the calories. I also purchased the peanut butter cookie which comes in a 3-pack for my hubby. He enjoyed them. I tried one and the flavor was good and it was partially soft and partially crunchy. The staff who assisted me with my cupcakes was super friendly and gave me her recommendations on which flavors she liked best and which were the most popular. I will return, hopefully this summer, to try their ice cream or one of their other cookies.

They were advertising a buy one, get one free special, so before making the trip, I specifically called the store to confirm they were honoring the promotion. The employee I spoke with confirmed that they were. When I arrived just 15 minutes later, the young woman at the register told me I needed an email to receive the deal. I explained that I had just called ahead to verify the promotion, and no one mentioned that an email was required. I even showed her that I had the app, but she insisted that only an email would work. I explained again that the entire reason for my trip was because I had been told over the phone that the store would honor the buy one, get one free offer. She was dismissive, rude, and made no effort to resolve the issue or honor what I had been told. Because of this, we went out of our way for nothing, changed our lunch plans, and wasted time over a promotion they refused to stand behind. It was extremely unprofessional and poor customer service. They have lost my business permanently.

With all the solid options present, I landed in a pistachio donut! Now, I will say I had a bit higher expectations for the donut. The donut itself was delicious, but I would have appreciated more pistachio throughout the cream in the center or maybe even skipping out on the cream altogether. Overall I think it was certainly worth a try. The matcha, for sure, stole the show! I will be back to try another flavor of matcha and a savory pastry!
