I've been to many Cold Stone Creameries in the past, and I've always had a positive and consistent experience. I mean, it's literally just mixing ice cream and toppings, how hard can it be? Apparently pretty difficult at this particular location. My 2 orders both were mixed with practically zero effort. The cookie dough chunk was still completely intact, and all the toppings were just folded into the inside of the ice cream. We didn't discover this until we got home because our expectation is that it's usually fine. I would avoid this place and go to the Baskin Robbins down the street. Had to throw my ice cream away about four bites in. I didn't want to, but it was clearly not "freshly made" as the advertisement on the door suggests. I got the vanilla lite ice cream as my base, and it was so gummy and icy, that it was not edible. You know the top layer that develops on ice cream that hasn't been used in awhile? That is what I had, clearly. Also, my husband had an allergy that we needed to validate was safe, and they said they "didn't know". I asked if they had a allergy guide and they were able to ask someone in the back but it took some coaxing. First time at this location. Arrived about 30 minutes before closing. My daughter and I ordered what we wanted. The guy working seemed to be in a rush, yet there was no one else in the store at the time. I didn't get to eat my ice until just yesterday. Come to find out he didn't use coffee ice cream like I requested at the beginning of my order. Walnuts weren't even chopped in they were left whole. The music inside the ice cream shop was a bit loud. It was just a lazy effort in making a simple ice cream order. I will stick to the two other locations I go to and get exactly what I ask for. This Coldstone's does not cater to patrons with allergies. At many other Coldstone's, they typically have a small "Coldstone slab" to mix ice cream to prevent cross contamination. I commend the young employee who offered to mix the ice cream in the back, I'm guessing on some plastic wrap? With that said, I will say the staff needs to be trained on making the flavors. In both of our orders, one made in the back and the other made in front of us, the amount of mixings was lacking and the level of effort of "mixing" ingredients was basically none. I went home with the banana intact and caramel just squeezed on top. My other order was cookie dough however there hardly any cookie dough.
