Previously it was always a lack of bananas even when their special of the month was a banana based creation. A few months ago they never strawberries. Usually I order from the Temescal Valley location, I made a mistake and ordered from this location. Big mistake. Ordered a custom cake and the writing is terrible. I asked the worker to redo it. And he happily did it. However the writing never improved. I wish he told me he couldn't fix it and had someone else do it. I could've come back another day for that too. I dont blame the worker. He was a young kid. But when the cake is $50 the least they can do is write Happy Birthday better than me. I took the cake home and I'm doing it myself! read more

I had a deeply upsetting experience at this location that left me and my mom feeling unsafe and unsupported. We walked in at the SAME time as a large family with several kids. I quickly placed an order for a shake while they were clearly still deciding on their flavors. As my shake was being made, the man from the other group began glaring at us and eventually started yelling aggressively and calling me names, claiming we had no respect and that they were first-- even though they were still figuring out their order. Mind you we were just waiting on a single regular scope of ice cream. Meanwhile the angry man and his family had a much larger order. What was most disappointing was how the staff handled the situation. The employee stopped making our order midway and began assisting the man who had just raised his voice at us. I was left standing there while being berated, and the employee said nothing. I asked to cancel my order out of discomfort and was told I'd still need to pay for the shake that had been left melting on the counter? When I explained I just wanted to pay and leave because I was being yelled at, the employee showed no concern or support. This could have been de-escalated if the staff had shown even a basic level of professionalism, neutrality, or care for customer safety. Instead, they prioritized the loudest person in the room and completely disregarded how uncomfortable and disrespected we felt. This review is for the ice cream cakes as that is my only experience at this location. I accidentally placed an order at this location instead of the Cold Stone I usually go to, and unfortunately, I won't be ordering from here again. The same size cake I normally get was noticeably smaller and more expensive--over $15 more. Yes, $54 for a 6 inch cake compared to the $39 at Tuscany St. The cake also didn't taste as fresh and didn't look as nice. I usually get cakes for every birthday from another Cold Stone, and the quality difference between the two stores was very noticeable. It's frustrating that prices vary so much for the same product, and the experience just wasn't worth the cost here. I posted a price comparison for the prices at Tuscany location and De Palma. Can't comment on the service or anything else since I just picked up a cake. read more
